I have experienced a tight feeling in the left side of my chest. It is tight from the center of my chest and extends to the very left side of my breast. Sometimes I even have the tightness in my arm pit and through my left arm. I have seen a doctor for this but because they were concerned about my heart first and foremost once they found out that was fine they gave me no more advice or help. It's definitely not a heart issue. I cannot pin point any lifestyle factors that may contribute.

I then began feeling the usual chest tightness and restriction I feel most days. Located centrally around the sternum, lft/right side of sternum and upper chest, below base of throat.; I have been made aware of a tingling 'nerve' like pain somewhere around my left shoulder/arm pit, which radiates down my arm to my middle two fingers!? When I massage the area and my arm, I can not locate the nerve to releave it.

It was coming and going like if I am side tracked or busy its ok or when I first wake up before I am thinking about it its ok. Even right now I feel ok my chest feel tight kinda like a cold but thats it. Then theres moments its really bad but latley its been constence. Anyways my Doc, the ER doc, and my teachers (nursing) all say its anixety does this sound logical to anyone or does it sould like I am dying.

Prilosec has helped, but when the aches subside, i get a temporary tight congested feeling on the right hand side of my chest, then I go into an anxiety attack, thinking I can't breathe. Anybody else experiencing this?

I mean, i have on near the heart, one almost near the skin, one on the right side, sometimes i feel like they're right IN the heart. Do you all get chest pains all over the place? I usually get these pains while i have that heavy feeling.

I have been experiencing a tightness in my left side of the chest for over a week now. About a week ago I began having acute episodes several times a day. These acute episodes include feeling short of breath, like someone is choking me. I feel sick to my stomach, and dizzy. They usually last 30 min to one hour. When I lie down, the left side is easier than the right, but it seems both sides are getting more and more uncomfortable. I've been experiencing chest pain for three days, located on the right side of my chest in the area just below my breastbone. It seems to be almost a cramp, where it feels like it gets very tight, almost as if someone is grabbing my lung. The pain began three days ago and was mild at first, but became very strong a few hours later. It persisted off and on all night, and then went away almost completely.

When it was time to eat, as i swallowed, I realised that i was getting a slight pain in the right side of my chest with each swallow, located on the left side of my right breast (NOT my breast hurting, just the location of where the pain is). The pain has continued up to this moment, and I have been burping alot since saturday, but how could I have gas in my chest? And if I did, why would it last this long? I do not get the pain when I breathe deeply, nor when I swallow saliva.

I am in the army and ive been going to the doctors and they tell me nothing is wrong with me. When I run not even a mile, the right side upper part of my chest feel like a cramp, it comes on slowly and doesn't stop until i stop running for 20+ mins. the only way i can describe it is; a heaviness, feel like i cant get any air into my right lung at first, if i keep running it feels like im gonna die, a real tightness in my chest, and dizziness.

Hello, A few days ago I was drinking a 5 calorie powerdered juice drink mix for the fists time and as soon as I had finished my drink I have been feeling a tightness in the right side of my chests and in my throat. This gets worse when I try to swallow. I feel like there is something stuck in my throat and not going down as well as a pull on the right side of my chests. I am able to breath fine and have been eating and drinking alot of water and juice as well.

During this time, you might experience more chest pains and other side effects. Usually the side effects disappear after 3-4 weeks and you can see the real results. I never took Lexapro but that happened to me while I was on Celexa. Hang in there. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Micheal, I got the butterfly feeling in my chest, it follow with few beats, big dumps and tightness. My tightness in the chest can last half a day long. I discovered it could be a LBBB. Just my discovery. As everyone has LBBB is being told it is harmful and the Drs "DON'T CARE". I learn to live with it. Have a run, power walk or strong coffee. You may have luck!

Since then, beginning approximately 9 days ago, I began getting a tightness in my right side of my chest which I only imagine is my lung. I can't breathe full deep breaths from my diaphragm and started feeling faint. Soon after pain, I started to feel tightness in my chest. It is difficult to explain the tightness. It is not tightness caused by congestion. If feels like my chest is heavy or the muscles are laboring more to suck air into my lungs. Today the pain in the back feels more like a burning sensation.
