It seems that passing gas/belching relieves the symptoms. The lightheaded feeling usually is paired up with a tightness in my chest, making it seem like I'm having a hard time breathing. I've also been sneezing more than usual. I have been staying relaxed since this started and haven't committed myself to anything that would cause alot of anxiety. I recently had tests done at my doctor's, my vitals and blood all came back very good.
I was lightheaded, had numbness and tingling in all of my limbs, and tightness in my chest. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and they did a bunch of tests including a stress test and found nothing. I then took a week off from exercising while on vacation. The morning after I returned, I went back to the exercise bike and the same thing happened, only the attach came on faster this time (was taken from the locker room to the hospital).
I have already had several tests (echocardiogram, blood work, abdominal ultrasound, chest xray) to rule out other issues. Not sure where to turn next. The chest tightness/difficulty breathing is unbearable. I have already been to the ER twice.
But yet when I walk fast, or go up the stairs and immediately walk after taking the stairs I feel lightheaded and tightness in chest. If I take little rest for 3 - 5 minutes I am comforatble again. I am good when I lift weights. Appears that running, brisk walking and going up the stairs is making me lightheaded, tightness in chest and dizzyness. My blood tests were normal. Blood pressure is normal, Heart is good. CT scan of head is good. My Doctor could not find a reason for that.

For about a week now I've been struggling with this horrible tightness in my chest and also a sharp pain that comes and goes. I have been extremely short of breath, I feel like I can't get a full breath in and that even if I could the tightness and discomfort in my chest is preventing me from actually doing so. Just walking around the house I have difficulty breathing. All this going on in the past week has sent me into a full blown craze.
Doctor said I was fine, all negative test results. I experienced 3 more dizzy, panick, tightness in the chest episodes so i had a 64 slice ct scan. results showed no calcium/ no blockage but my left ventricle had increased substantially since me my last 64 CT of 2 years ago and my lv ejection fract had gone from 58% to 88% since last ct. wall thickening had increased to 145% in some areas. further, resting systol had gone down to 12%.
instead of belly breathing, i feel like i'm chest and shoulder breathing. my shoulders and upper chest expand and go up, but my stomach goes in. i thought everything was supposed to expand. i'm on synthroid and just had my dose lowered from 112 to 88 because i had low tsh but normal free t4, free t3. i don't know anymore. i'm very frustrated. i'm sick and tired of the breathing problems!!!
Throughout life we will have aches and pains. Heck, I just got back from running and I had a little bit of chest tightness which was probably because it was cold and I was going up hill.. An anxious mind would assume impending doom and that my heart was about to give out despite reassurances from the doctor and tests. Assuming the worst is what makes this cycle so hard to overcome.
I have lightheadedness throughout the day without a change in position, and then have episodes where I feel a weird sensation in my stomach, tightness in my chest, and then lightheadedness (sometimes I feel like I will pass out). I do have GERD, Barrett's Esophagus, and a hiatal hernia. I have taking Pindolol since last week without little improvement. I did find out that my C2 & C3 vertebrae are showing fusion, which I don’t know if my neck/spine could be playing a part.

2 years ago while driving i got a sudden tightness- not pain- in my lower throat/ upper chest and almost passed out- went to ED- had EKG, cardiac enzymes both negative was put on PPI for GERD-was thought to be esophageal spasm irritating my vagus nerve- 2 weeks later by EGD had dx small hiatal hernia and mild esoph. irritation(had been on PPI for 2 weeks at this point)- for my own sanity had cardiac workup of 30 day monitor ECHO and stress test- all came back- very healthy heart.
It took a little while, but I experienced an episode where my stomach felt sick, I had tightness in my chest, and then I became extremely lightheadedned. The person doing the test said that my pupils dilated very large, and she thinks that I may have lost consciousness, and compared it to having a seizure. My heart rate dropped down to 50 beats/min, and my blood pressure was 80/60). The epsiodes I normally have do not result in a drop in heart rate or blood pressure.
I have been experiencing a lightheaded feeling, tingling, ringing in my left ear for about 3 months that has not been diagnosed and would appreciate any help. It all started about a day after a round of golf. I started feeling tightness in my left arm and shoulder. My left arm also started tingling. Within a few days, the left side of my chest was tight and had a dull ache around my left pectoris with warm spots. Soon after this, the lightheaded feeling started.
Hi, I have constant head pressure and chest tightness 24/7/365 atleast for the last 15 years. I went to Cardiologist, and Gastroenterologist but they were clueless. They conducted tests like 24 hr Holter Monitor test, Upper Endoscopy, Gastric Motility Disorder test, and Abdominal Ultrasound but all the tests were normal. I also used medication for stress/anxiety but it didn't give any relief. Eating/drinking and exercise worsen the symptoms.
old female who for the past week has been experiencing difficulty breathing with a tightness in my left upper chest. I struggle to get a deep breath and sometimes have to yawn to do so. If I thought about it enough and panicked, I could hypervetalate trying to catch my breath. The only relief I get is when laying down to sleep or rest. This started out of nowhere.
I am always lightheaded and feeling dizzy. I feel like I could pass out at any second. This is ruining my life. Im scared to do anything alone. I cant go to a grocery store, mall, nothing. I am too scared that I'm going to pass out and I have tried to overcome it but I cant. As soon as I get into a place I get so dizzy and my vision is all messed up. it's also described as a tightness in my chest, like my chest is choking, and it's hard to breath deep and i have feelings of breathlessness, but i dont wheeze or anything. it's also in this same area that it often feels like my heart is beating too hard, you cannot fully understand this sensation unless you experience it yourself but it is certainly not normal. sometimes it almost feels like my heart is struggling and i get weak, nauseated lightheaded and very suseptable to palps.
Has anyone in here experienced nausea when they are suffering from an anxiety attack? I also get the tightness in my chest and feel like I can't breathe but have noticed nausea, as well. I am on Klonopin, .5 3 times per day, which seems to be helping. I tried to taper, on my own, and got down to 2 pills and it came back. I am also on Celexa for depression, which I have suffered from since I was 9.
Cardiac chest pain usually isn't a stabbing pain, but rather a burning pressure. But then it can be different for others. If it continues or is accompanied with shortness of breath, nausea or dizziness then it is worth checking out. What you are describing though sounds more like muscular or even anxiety.
The sooner I get this pressure or tightness in the back of my head, I get nervous, and start to think bad things like what if I pass out, and what if I panic and get a panic attack... (I also have anxiety disorder) the first thing I feel like doing is going to the ER, but I have been there already twice last month is the same week for this head pain, and they did CT scans, cat scans, EEG test, chest x-rays, head x-rays, blood tests, you name it.

I ask this as i came across a man with purpura on his legs, who also had breathing problems, tightness in chest, etc. He struggled for a long time, and when all come out he had a form of vasculitis, He did find out with the ANCA bloodtest, maybe you could ask your doctor to rule this out for you with a simple blood test. The purpura on his legs was due to the vasculitis too, his chest problems, and the purple spots were all connected, to the form of vasculitis he had.
About a year and half ago I had surgery on my ankle. The day after the surgery my chest started felling really tight and then I started feeling intense pressure in my chest that just kept getting worse. I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t breath I started to feel lightheaded and dizzy and I also started sweating. My mom gave me some aspirin and the pain and pressure went away after several minutes.
since then I have been experiencing muscle spasms in my chest around the implant which is normal. Over the past 2 months, I have experienced a different kind of pain though. I have had a breast MRI which showed no abnormality in the implants or around, as well as a chest and breat ultrasound which showed nothing either. The pain is random and sharp, feels like someone is stabbing me for about 3 seconds.
Been having numb face on and off and lightheaded too, seems to be getting more frequent do have chest tightness with it too but its not a heart attack cos the tightness is mild and lasts hours sometimes. I also have just been diagnosed with chronic iritis and wonder if the 2 are related! had bloods for all the associated autoimmune diseases and all negative! Any clues as to what it might be?
