3 days latter I got the same pains just worse. This time the left side of my face went numb. Tightness in the chest and sholder and upper back pain along with my left arm numb and tingling. When I saw my doctor she had that face like she did not believe me. She did anothe EKG and this time she said it was diffent from the fitst EKG she had done. I went back to the ER had an MRI, Labs and X Ray . Everything turned out normal.
I have had anxiety for 2 years now. I have been battling it with meds then alternative meds. IT's been a daily struggle. Right now I am getting ready to start lexapro. I struggle with chest tightness. I get left arm pain , upper back pain, depression now too. Weird head pain and it's all on left side. It's the chest tightness and shortness of breath I hate the most. I concentrate on taking deep breaths just to help calm down. Does anyone else go through this?

if the pressure/tightness is in the CENTER of your chest, it is more than likely ANXIETY. If you are having tingling/numbness in your left arm and or pain, then go to the Hospital.
Anxiety can cause chest pain. I recently withdrew from a drug, and the withdrawal side effect is rapid heart rate, sweating, and anxiety. My heart rate was at 114-120bpm for a few days, was AWFUL. My chest hurt SO bad. I almost worried about it, but knew it was from the STRESS.
Recently, for about a week I have been experiencing tightness just below my left shoulder, down the left inside part of left arm, and in my neck. I have also felt fatigued and the pain seems to get worse with exertion, although not everytime. I've had several ekgs done and all were negative, but the tightness contiuned so i had an exercise stress EKG test with ECHO imaging and everything came back normal.
then about 3 weeks ago had major chest pain... pretty much felt crippling. the pain went to my left arm, and my arm went completely numb plus my fingers were all tingly and stuff..the pain in my chest lasted for about 2 hrs after that.. got really tired and went to bed with it still hurting. then a week after i had chest pain and it went up my left side of my neck and down my left arm. the pain lasted for a couple minutes then went away.
Another thing I thought about is a pinched nerve, which might explain my left arm feeling weird. But there are no nerves in the chest that innervate the entire left arm down to my wrist.
Pleurisy is another thing that came to mind, which might explain the popping when I exhale, but I've taken ibuprofen for months to no avail.
The last thing I can think of is a pulled intercostal muscle, which might explain the spasming but it doesn't explain the left arm.

I ve been to ER so many times had ECG done n one ECG with cardiologist and had echocardiogram but vent had d result yet, the doc
Gave me some date in july to show me the result n check up?
I'm getting so scare of this pain

tightness in my chest (like indigestion, or like my bra was too tight); slight pain in my neck/jaw, on the right side; pain in my left bicep/arm. I was driving to work, so I didn't pull over. That was around 8am this morning. The pain in my neck/jaw and arm have gone away, but the tightness in my chest comes and goes. I just started this job, last week, which is why I continued driving to work, this morning, but now I'm concerned. Was I having a mini-heart attack?
I am experiencing throbbing pain which come in waves from left arm right down to my left leg and I can sort of feel this pain across the left side of my heart. previously I have experiencing some chest tightness which l sort of ignored as a passing ailment. But this pain is worse when I am resting and when I am trying to sleep at night. I cannot sleep actually as it is irritating and it keeps me awake at night.
Ended for a couple days and these past 3 days prior to my starting my period have been the worst so far. Continued pain under my left arm pit, especially when using that arm. Chest tightness and let me explain this further. The tightness is directly in the center of my chest and it makes breathing laborsome. My breasts seem fuller like they would prior to my period but this feels much different than just tender breasts as part of PMS (which I have monthly).
I have been to the ER three times with arm pain, chest pain and recently jaw pain (started on left and now on right as well). The pain in my chest is alway fast and sharp. Every time I went to the ER, they said my EKG, blood tests (cardiac enzymes, thyroid, etc) and chest xray were fine. I was given anxiety meds and told to take Ibuprofen for the pain/spasms. Last night I had pain in my neck when turning my head and in my back while bending over, so Im thinking it is a nerve/muscle thing?
m a 26 year old male, Today I had some really strange things happen to me, my chest felt really tight like it was hard to breathe, and I had this pain in my left chest/side, Kind of under my armpit. I laid down for a little while and kept changing my sides to see if it would go away. Now the feeling has gone away but in my left bicep I have this feeling like there's a elastic tied around it. sometimes my fingers tingle, my back of my upper arm seems really warm as well.
I was having every symptom that I thought was related to heart trouble. From chest pain, tightness in my chest, pain in my arms, jaw, etc. I had never had any experience like this before so naturally it initially was very frightneing. I was at the ER multiple times, saw variuos cardiologists, had multiple tests done only to confirm that heart health wise, I was okay.
