Chest tightness fatigue

Common Questions and Answers about Chest tightness fatigue

Avatar n tn I have seen a cardiologist, and had an Echocardiogram, Multiple EKG's, a 24 hour holter monitor, a stress test and a stress echo in addition to a CT Angiography. All has come back normal. I still have the tightness in my chest and I feel short of breath a lot of the time. Other symptoms I am experienceing are lightheadeness, and fatigue. Can this still be a heart problem, or do those tests rule that out? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Within a few days of arriving in the UK, I began to experience a mild chest tightness that wouldnt ease with taking asthma inhalers. i suffered with the tightness for about the first 4 weeks of my 5 week hoilday there. it was strange because after 4 weeks of continous tightness, one morning i woke up and it felt as if a large weight had been lifted from my chest and it felt as though i could breath freely and normally as i did in the past. I was happy!
Avatar f tn Hey all...Has anyone had chest and throat tightness as a side? Is it possibly a sign of worsening anemia? I'm due on Wed to get next labs done. (1 week since last ones that showed a sudden drop in HCT, WBC, and slighly in HGB..) Anemia sides still the same..(Out of breath, heart palpitations, fatigue with minimal activity, occasional dizzies, etc...)...Should I move up lab draw? (Starting week #4...first vl Wed!) I'm confident it isn't a heart attack or anxiety...
Avatar f tn I have had chest tightness, coughing, trouble breathing, fatigue, dizziness and excess mucus. Over the weekend I had very bad chest tightness and could barely breathe. Trip to urgent care had me on my 3rd round of antibiotics and a 6 day tapered medrol pack. I am on day 3 of the medrol pack and yesterday was actually the only day I felt great - breathing normally, more energy than usual.
Avatar m tn Recently, my symptoms are coming back and prominently, I am experiencing chest pain and chest tightness especially when i'm laying down on bed at night. Also, since a week ago, I've been really dizzy and feel extremely tired and feel like I would faint. It comes and goes few times a day and it really is annoying having to deal with this. anyone else here experience similar symptoms?
Avatar m tn Cardiac pain or chest pain can be felt as a tightness and worsens with activity or exercise. Any exercise that increases the cardiac strain or pumping capacity will produce chest pain due to inadequate blood supply. Since the pain occurs after work everyday, it could most probably be muscular pain. But when in doubt always best to have it checked.
Avatar n tn I don't know what to do. I don't know why my doc thinks it is acid reflux. Other than chest tightness and pressure in the head I do not have other typical symptoms of acid reflux. Also the acid reflux medication is not giving any relief and upper endoscopy didn't give any indications of acidity. But my immediate problem is to find some solution that can atleast give me temporary relief. I am literally not able to do anything in life because of this chronic and irritating tightness.
Avatar f tn Always when I eat Chinese food, my throat will start gradually tightening up to the point where I can't eat, my throat and upper chest feel like they're on fire, my eyes water -- this lasts for two or three minutes and then it goes away and I can finish my meal. Do you think there is something in the food which causes this?
Avatar f tn I had essentially no discharge teaching at all- my husband was handed a booklet with very general info. about recovery after this procedure. I have constant tightness/heavy sensation in my chest along with pleuritic pain when I take a deep breath.and fatigue. I called my cardiologist and he told me to hold the Attenolol (on Plavix, 325mg Aspirin, Losartan, Wellbutrin, Attenolol, Lunesta) My BP is fine. I am getting so discouraged- I thought I would feel better after the stents .
Avatar n tn I am currently on my 6th day of antibiotics and for the past few days have been experiencing chest tightness and asthma like symptoms (I was asthmatic as a child and experience symptoms rarely now). I do not have any yellow/green phlegm and each day my coughs seem more productive but havent really produced any clearing of the lungs.
Avatar m tn However, I still fear it is a possibility as I am easily fatigued and feel chest tightness when I do any kind of strenuous activity. Another possibility is GI issues as for some reason, I blurb a lot after these episodes. This condition is making my life impossible and I live in a constant state of stress of these symptoms occurring and I am generally exhausted. I am super pale most of the time, which is strange given my ethnicity.
Avatar f tn Hi, im sorry i was in a bit of a panic when i wrote that lol due too my sinisus ive had constant post nasal drip extreamly stuffed ears dizziness chest tightness and ive also been feeling off balance i had sharp pains in my ears and other parts of my head and i thought they were due tooo sinuses until i started having them in my whole body alot in my chest radiating too my back and i had a couple of pvc i dont know if it was from worrying or not.
Avatar m tn -fatigue -feel lightheaded or off balance -tightness/discomfort in the chest This happens at random times, I sometimes go months even a year without experiencing the symptoms or it might happen 3 or 4 times in a 6 month period. The symptoms can last from a few days to a couple of weeks. I’ve been to a family physician and even rushed to the ER. They have done EKG’s, stress tests and blood tests, but nothing has turned up.
1531606 tn?1324840243 When you say tightness of your L chest that sort of leaves us open to interpetation. The heart sits dead center of your chest, between the nipple lines and very slightly to the left and would be in most cases the size of your left fist. Is that the area you are speaking of or further over and higher or lower? If you are concerned about having a heart attack as i always say there is nothing on this earth that looks like a male having a heart attack.
Avatar f tn FT3, FT4, TPOab, TGab, TSI? Any thyroid-related health concerns? fatigue, depression, anxiety, chest pain, rapid heart rate, constipation, GERD, heartburn, low vitamins, muscle cramping, leg pain, foot pain, eye and ear pain or ear ringing, brain fog, dry skin, hair loss, sleep loss...
Avatar n tn This fall when it started i noticed I had bad post nasal drip, chest pains (tightness) and breathing difficulties and severe shortness of breath. Can allergies and or chronic sinus infections make a person so weak and fatigued that they can not function normally? My doctor gave me an allergy shot and it alleviated the symptoms to a degree.
Avatar n tn Hi, Thanks for writing in. Your symptoms seem to be due to stress and fatigue. The headache which feels like tightness in the head is most likely a tension headache. Since your neck X rays and MRI have been clear the possibility of nerve compression does not seem to be very likely. Nerve compression over a period of time tends to get worse and produces other symptoms also like tingling numbness.
572651 tn?1333939396 So crazy, and scary pain, I thought I was having a heart attack because of the tightness in my chest. The docs. said I have a heart like a race horse, I was assuming that was good. LOL That was the first panic attack I ever had. As far as fatigue, I fall asleep all the time, not like narcolepsy or anything like that, but I get drained after two hours of being up. I take a nap everyday, (I am not lazy) the fatigue is just overwhelming. I could be on the computer, sitting quietly and I'm out..
Avatar n tn Hi, I have constant head pressure and chest tightness 24/7/365 atleast for the last 15 years. I went to Cardiologist, and Gastroenterologist but they were clueless. They conducted tests like 24 hr Holter Monitor test, Upper Endoscopy, Gastric Motility Disorder test, and Abdominal Ultrasound but all the tests were normal. I also used medication for stress/anxiety but it didn't give any relief. Eating/drinking and exercise worsen the symptoms.
Avatar n tn old female who for the past week has been experiencing difficulty breathing with a tightness in my left upper chest. I struggle to get a deep breath and sometimes have to yawn to do so. If I thought about it enough and panicked, I could hypervetalate trying to catch my breath. The only relief I get is when laying down to sleep or rest. This started out of nowhere.
Avatar n tn I also have tightness in the chest. I also get a flutter ffeeling in my heart when the tightness gets bad..had all heart test done on several occasions and all hearts tests were normal. I get shortness of breadth's like that same comment about breathing through a straw with a hole..! I have had thryoid level checked and that was normal. chest xrays were normal..not sure what they look for when they read chest xrays.
Avatar f tn Right now the neck is too tight, I have keep taking Advil which is not good to relieve this tightness. I feel like no doctor cares to help and that I'm the only person in the area with this problem. It all started around the time I was experiencing symptoms of mono before I was diagnosed. I see another endo in November. What else can I ask for to see if this problem can be solved (aside from having the thyroid removed). I'm at my wit's end! Thank you for any help!
Avatar n tn The most common symptoms may include trembling, dyspnea (shortness of breath), heart palpitations, chest pain (or chest tightness), hot flashes, cold flashes, burning sensations (particularly in the facial or neck area), sweating, nausea, dizziness (or slight vertigo), light-headedness, hyperventilation, paresthesias (tingling sensations), sensations of choking or smothering } , fibromyalgia(a disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain and tactile allodynia(pain even on to
Avatar f tn Imagine fighting for your life and you dont know why. Undescribable unease, pain in chest, calves, jaw, tightness in throat, and headaches that make you crazy. You tell yourself that you're young and strong, but your body is saying something is wrong. All the doctors say it is stress and anxiety, and heartburn. They are testing me for an ulcer, but who knows? I wonder if there were always young people feeling this way or is it a more current trend?
Avatar n tn My husband was never the same ever since. He has this chest tightness, shortness of breath, plenty of fatigue and a discomforting churning growling stabbing (you name it) under his left rib cage traveling to the back upper shoulder blade area. It feels like cold airy acidy gas. He was never able to take a full deep breath eversinced. Every time it seems like air is leaking somewhere. Every time when he's in a sitting position, he tends to feel the chest tightness leading to shortness of breath.
773755 tn?1328123377 i have chest tightness, bit of reaching difficulty, occasional skipped heartbeat. pulse rate and pulse strength seem fine. i thought it was my usual anxiety and tension, but lately i haven't had too much to worry about that i know of, and the chest tightness is still there. no pains or headaches to speak of. just feeling weak and crappy, even though i have fatigue syndrome. it seems separate from that.
