Have you been tested for TB? Usually the fever goes up at night and you get fatigue and cough. But, also a chest infection would give you this high of a fever. So getting a sputum sample for culture to see if have an infection would be a good idea. Did you or do you have a sore throat too or just the lung symptoms? Did you ever see white spots or pus in the back of your throat? It doesn't sound like you had strep throat when they tested you for it.
Okay so Saturday I had smoked and my chest got tight and I really couldn't breath today is Thursday I'm still haven chest pains i really caint sleep at night I take some pills That help me sleep does anybody know what I should do ??
1x a week is what is reccomended for asthmatics. Also I found (I have adult onset asthma and similar complaints with chest tightness at night) that mine gets worse if I don't have my might/dust/allergy guards on my bed and pillow. It also helped when I used HEPA air filters in my heater and bought a HEPA vacume. Good luck!
s been 6 weeks since his last cig. He has had horrible withdrawal symptoms. Chest pain, tightness in chest, irregular heartbeats, dizziness, numbness in arm and the list goes on. He has been to the emergency room 3 times and has had ECGs and x-rays and blood tests done. All come back fine. He believes there is something terribly wrong. I keep telling him it's just his withdrawal symptoms and I do believe that's all it is.
For the past 6 months or so, I have been experiencing chest tightness, pain, and a hard beating heart at night, and occasionally during the day. It starts particularly when I am laying down, and it isn't relieved by getting up. During this time, I also experience episodes where my heart's rhythm goes out of whack, and it feels like my heart flutters, stops, and then flutters again.
Went to my GP for pains under my left armpit, extreme tightness in my chest and heart palpitations. I have several panic attacks due to the chest tightness and went to my doc to begin to see what may be wrong. No lumps were found and an ultrasound was done on my left breast and underarm and no masses were found. Doc and I figured this may be anxiety and so I was put back on depression (Wellbutrin) and anxiety/IBS meds (Elavil).
Once you do that, you can look at other reasons people wake at night with chest pain and tightness. Things like acid reflux, anxiety, issues with cartilage in your ribs, gall bladder or pancreas problems. However, because this could also indicate angina or heart attack, you should be seen by a doctor. Hi I am wondering if any of you have experienced chest tightness, or funny feeling in the pit of your stomach associated with withdrawals. I am on day 6 of a massive decrease in dose (i'm tapering). At about the same time everyday (before I would take the norco) I feel a tightening in my chest. My pulse and blood pressure are fine??? Is this common for withdrawal? What can I do to make it better? I'm trying not to take any ativan for it. Thank you any support will help.
I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first child and I have this uneasy feeling in my chest. Right at my breastbone. It's like a tightness. I looked it up and I guess it might be heartburn? But I have it all the time. Anyone else have that feeling?

My blood works all fine except the iron and vitamin D is very low. Those 2 deficiencies will not cause severe sweating in the night. I dealt with this problem over a year but still.... no one able to find out what's wrong? I sort of "given up" and let it sweats what ever it wants. Spray or have a shower before I go to work.
Hi I was prescribed propranolol for anxiety and I took 20mg at night but couldnt sleep at all then took another 10mg about 5 hrs later which seemed to make me feel worse I had chest tightness and difficulty breathing can this dosage affect my heart in a negative way, the chest tightness eased now but im still worried and I dont plan on taking the med again, please advive
I started eating a double chocolate protein bar and immediately upon finishing I started getting tightness in my chest . Now, I do have acid reflux but it was not heartburn I really panicked there and started to think this is it I am having a heart attack..Ι got a coca cola and started burping. But I have never felt tight chest before so worried. Didn't have any other symptoms with the tightness and pulse / oxygen etcc was very normal. should I go to the cardiologist again??

Are you being treated for the panic disorder? If you aren't, I would strongly recommend getting into some therapy (CBT) to find the root cause of your panic. Once you've identified that, your therapist can give you a great deal of knowledge to understand why you suffer from it and tools to help you overcome it.
Your therapist can teach you various breathing exercises to help when you get that suffocating feeling. They work.
t eat much and not sleeping well, reason why was that i was worried about pain that was in my testicle but found out that is was a epidyimal cyst and that it was nothing to worry about. Now i am back to my routine and seem to be having some chest tightness. I am wondering if it was from all the stress i was putting myself under or is it probably from my ablation and it is just healing? Idk I go see the doctor who performed my ablation on friday.

I am a 29 year old who has been having chest tightness for about 3 days with a headache that comes and goes. I went to an urgent care for them to tell me nothing except that my vital signs are healthy, take no xrays, take no blood, etc. They prescribed me an inhaler thinking that it was an allegarine asthma. IT hasn't helped so far. When I work out, it doesn't bother me anymore. I am not short of breath; however, to take a deep breath takes a little more effort.
It has been always five weeks since I was discharged from hospital now and since then I have developed chest tightness in the central region each time I take a deep breath. I also notice that I now feel tire easily and can't do any strenous work as my chest area feel kind of tight and tender.
The latest x-ray results (two days ago) showed nothing and the nurse told me that my lungs are all clear.

my husband age 49 has has had tightness in his chest for 2-3 weeks now. We went to the ER and they determined his blood tests were normal, lung sounds, blood pressure, pulse, ekg, chest xray and ultrasound of liver,kidneys, gall bladder and aorta all normal. admitted overnight, never could determine cause. He has asthma and family history of heart disease but everything is checking out normal. He is healthy, active and not overweight.
Does anyone have any suggestions for relief from chest tension? I experience chest tightness and tension, almost nervousness of my chest. Breathing exercises don't seem to help. It usually sets in during the afternoon, and can last for several hours.
