994817 tn?1249738278 I get dizzy, out of breath, chest/rib pain for long periods, sore muscles, back pain, shoulder pain, jaw/toothache, inner chest and outer body tingles, and extremely fast, terribly freighting heart palpitations that last all day/night. I feel I'm having a heart attack! But I'm only 17 years old! I get these symptoms everyday. I fear I'm going to die soon of a heart problem that the Dr.
Avatar m tn It usually lasts a few minutes and then goes away. I dont have any other symptoms other than sharp chest pain, pain in my jaw, and left arm. What could this be? Is it possible to have a heart attack at 25?
Avatar f tn I have been having chest pains over the past couple of hours. It has been a steady pain....(7-7.5 on a scale of 1-10)... I've had a little bit of pain in my shoulder as well...What could be causing this? I am 5'8" and I weigh 260. I do have high blood pressure and asthma, (i take Lisinopril and Albuterol for those). My BP has still been running high, although I was just switched to Lisinopril from Propranolol 4 days ago. Should I go to the ER?
Avatar m tn I am 20 years old and have been experiencing heart palpitations for the last several months. along with these palpitations are a mild chest pain in my left pec and sometimes in my back that almost can be described as tight muscle. I went to a doctor who gave me an ecg and found everything normal, however my heart didnt skip a beat during it.
Avatar f tn I have been having horrible chest pain for four years now and it feels like knives stabbing into my chest. At first it was only on my left side and would last a couple of seconds to an hour. Now it has obviously gotten much worse at will last up to two days at a time, and ocassionally on my right side as well. When this happens I generally have a pain that is also in my left shoulder - same feeling just like a knife stabbing me.
Avatar n tn My pcp does it right in the office automatically on new patients or ANYONE regardless of age who would complain of any chest pain, it is just a starting point. Do you have any gastric pain, indigestion? Did you sustain any injury to your chest? You could have also pulled a muscle. there are many possibilities and little information. Please see your md and tell them what you have said here .
Avatar m tn However, you are never too young to have heart problems and doctors are ignorant to chest pain. The only way to tell if there is a true heart problem is with a cardiac cath, but unless you have an abnormal ecg or elevated cardiac enzymes you are not going to get one. If you still are having problems make sure you insist that they keep checking and do not give up. There is a doctor out there that will help you, you are just going to have to find them yourself.
Avatar m tn Hello i am a 13 year old male. I get chest pain and get out of breath easily when i wake up, stand up, walk, or run. I have been to a pediatric cardiologist and i had an ekg an ultrasound and a stress test. they all came up normal. He says it has something to do with hormones or muscles. Your thoughts? And what can i do to make it better? Thanks alot.
Avatar f tn I agree, true heart related chest pain would be extremely rare for someone in your age group. Your symptoms could be anything from simply growing pain , especially in light of the age when this pain started, to something like asthma which could cause you to be short of breath. Have your parents take you to the doctor.
Avatar m tn im 20 with no past med compilications but, ive been having some chest pain....and went to the doc and had xray and ekg and everyting turned out normal. they said try prilotec otc for heartburn...im on day 2 taking it.....should i be worried its something else with my heart?
Avatar n tn I am very sorry that you have been in pain for as long and with no diagnosis. Seven years is too long at your young age to struggle with chronic pain. As you know there are no physician on this forum. It sound like you have gone the usual routes. Have you had a MRI or a CT of your chest, with contrast? If not it may give you reassurance of it is negative or pinpoint as issue. You also mentions pain at numerous other sites. Have your physicians considered Fibromyalgia?
Avatar f tn , while your age group in at a fairly low risk for cancer, approx. 4000 young women in the US, under the age of 20, were diagnosed with breast cancer last year. Avatar m tn I have been suffering from chest pain quite frequently on and off for around 2 and a half years, but it has became particularly frequent and intense over the last few days, i feel quite lethargic and sometimes it makes me dizzy. My heartrate is fine (usually between 55 and 62) but my bp rose to 148/76 when i checked it immediately after the pain and dizziness, yet now it seem to have gone back to down to around 125/74.
788664 tn?1236736757 It is very rare for someone your age to be having true, heart realted , chest pain. Chest pain is caused when the heart muscles does not receive a blood supply. This is generally due to coronary artery disease which is found in adults (and can cause a heart attack) or something like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy where the walls of the heart are so thickened they lose their blood supply. This disease is sometimes seen in young people, but if you had this at your age, you would know by now.
Avatar n tn Young lad 16 years of age, suffers from intensive tachycardia and chest pain when exercising such as playing football.
Avatar n tn He says it beats very fast and very hard that it hurts him. His left arm feel tinglely and at time his chest feel cold then hot. What could this be? He has asked to go to the Hospital and we took him. They performed a EKG and chest X-ray and only found a touch of Broncitis. Would they be able to tell if a heart condition was there through those test? Everything else appeared normal to the ER doctor.

Avatar m tn Two weeks ago, I was at my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class when I noticed that I had pretty significant pain in my chest. Thankfully, I went to the ED where I was found to have some EKG changes and I had bumped by cardiac enzymes. I underwent a cath the next morning where I was found to have 80% stenosis in my LAD and otherwise no disease. A drug eluting stent was placed and I have been doing relatively well since (physically great - psychologically not so much...).
Avatar m tn It takes 20+ years to build up enough plague by eating the wrong foods to give you heart related chest pain. You are no where near that time period yet. There is a lot of things that can cause the problem you are having including drinks high in caffine (Mountain Dew being the highest) See your doctor and get checked out.
Avatar f tn EKG, etc (although I have low blood pressure, which does not have any effect on my lifestyle). results are OK. The pain is like a sharp stabbing sensation in the left middle area of my chest (heart). The pains or cramps lasts for a few minutes.
Avatar m tn ve had this condition for about 5yrs since I took a bad fall on my chest. Pain and the urge to raise my arms and crack my chest all the time...it's uncomfortable. Let me tell you what, though. When I quit smoking all this pain and cracking went away entirely so I would like to urge you to stop smoking completely if not for anything else but to see if this feeling goes away.
19079998 tn?1472020580 Its been a year since I felt those signs of having an angina..The pain comes from the left chest and runs certainly around my chest.Down to my abdomen up to back of my neck. Usually, I feel the pain everytime after having my meals sometimes or on times of mental stress. In kinda worried because we have family history of heart problem. Now my question is, could it be possible that at my early age I do have my angina? Thanks in advance & Godbless.
Avatar f tn I'm a 22, female and don't smoke, drink or take drugs. For the last month I have been having chest tightness, lightheadedness, tingling/aches in my left arm and a sudden racing heartbeat. Sometimes I'll get a "fluttery" feeling in my chest, and the pain can spread to my back and to the area where my collarbones meet. It's usually a dull pain, like a weight has been placed on the affected areas. It comes on at any time.
1445941 tn?1284502945 It could be panic but with any chest pain at any age I say you go to the ER and ask them to check you out, as this was 4 hours ago how are you feeling now ...
