1448748 tn?1312956208 Ok I'm dumb,i should have asked dr oro this, but I forgot. I have had several bouts of chest pain over the last year and my heart has been checked out and I've had several ct scans they could never find the cause. I do have a higher risk for blood clots but never have had one. I'm experiencing chest pain ib a band like sensation. Its like pressure. The worst part is in between my shoulder blades among the right side of my spine only. It hurts to breathe deep.
Avatar f tn Mild cough, sore dry nose with some bleeding, post nasal drip, and scratchy throat and chest. Before I was diagnosed I was tested for a lump in throat feeling whenever I drank something. I got a barrium swallow and it was normal so i assumed it was an anxiety issue, Then after I got the pneumonia i saw something on the internet about aspiration pneumonia and it scared me because I still feel lump in throat and nausea at times. Could I have aspirated something into my lungs?
Avatar n tn I have always had allot of chest pain, of different types. I have had more heart tests than I can shake a stick at but my doctor told me that anyone that has a chest pain that lasts for more than 5 minutes, should get it checked out. Personally, if I had a pain that didn't go away in less than 15 minutes, I would be calling for help. Please get your wife checked out.
Avatar f tn Came down with POTS five months ago and have had spasms and a heaviness mostly in the left side of my chest/back when I lie down every time I exhale. My chest wall/upper back in general is very sore and sometimes it seems to send a pain up to my chin region when I breathe in deep.
Avatar n tn Gastric reflux or types of indigestion can cause chest pain in the center of chest, if it was angina it would be in the left chest radiating to the shoulder or arm. Try waiting longer in between eating and running?
Avatar n tn I saw my GP a couple of month ago and he listened to my chest / checked for embolism and suggested the pain is muscular or skelatal.. I had a chest xray which came back clear, but the problem hasn't gone. I need to make another appointment with my GP, but I wonder if anyone can shed any light on what it's likely to be. I do smoke, but I am fairly active. It is probably worth noting that the pain feels better when I exercise.

Avatar n tn It is so difficult to determine the cause of chest pain unless you are seen by a physican. Cardiac pain can come in many forms and does not have to be the "classic" symptoms to be trouble. You may be having some anxiety with your approaching wedding. Drinking or consuming more caffeine and stress could cause your cardiac muscle to respond with some PVC's and/or pain. I hope you will update us on the results of your physician's visit. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn Aspirin would be to help prevent any blood clotting that can result in a heart attack. Aspirin helps reduce some types of pain, but the appropriate medication (if angina caused by a heart condition) would by a nitrate. A nitrate would dilate heart vessels enabling the heart to receive moe oxygenated blood. Angina (chest pain) is often due to a deficit of blood to the heart tissues.
Avatar m tn My son got a cold and now has a dry, persistent cough with chest pain. What would be the best over the counter medication for these types of symptoms. He is an asthmatic as well, however, he is not wheezing or experiencing any symptoms related to asthma. He also does not have a fever, but I am concerned that it could be a bronchial or upper respiratory infection. I would appreciate any assistance you could give. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Laying down causes the chest pain to be more felt in the back than it is in the chest, but the pain itself is basically the same. • Occasional limb pain (arm, hand, ankle, feet pain) seemingly unassociated with the above. May or may not both occur at the same time. • Occasional headaches or neck pain. Same logic here as above. • Specific tingling lining the border directly below my left shoulder blade in my back. Almost always occurs during the chest pain but not too often by itself.
Avatar f tn I am a sixteen year old and recently i have been getting chest pains and having heart palpitation. sometimes i get a sharp pain on the left side of my chest near the heart. my mother says it is anxiety due to exams but i do not think so. should i go to the doctor?
Avatar f tn that handles pain management. I found out in my appointment that they do not prescribe narcotic pain medication but will prescribe muscle relaxers. The practice focuses on injections, physical therapies, massage, electrode therapy, etc. I was able to get a couple pressure point injections on the left side of my upper back and it felt much better than my right side throughout the day.

881463 tn?1245345649 It would be very hard for a tumor, for example, to be large enough to cause your pain, and somehow escape detection despite a chest CT, bone scan, and gastroscopy. Understand that the way our healthcare system works is to first rule out the 'bad things'. I think it does an OK job of that, for the most part. But all of the less-bad-things are much more difficult to sort out.
Avatar n tn I would tend to think this is more puberty than anything else. True heart related chest pain in childhood/teen years is extremely rare and there would have to be severe heart disease for that to be the cause of the dhest pain. Chest pain is caused when the heart is deprived of oxygen, young people don't usually have that problem.
