424634 tn?1277857528 Yep, it's frustrating. Last year when I wore the stupid event monitor before my surgery, I recorded a couple basic tachy times and a couple times of arrhythmia and chest pain. When I saw the cardio he said he didn't have the results yet but felt I was fine to go ahead with the surgery. I asked about the chest pain and he said, "I don't think it's cardiac related." I said, "Hmm, funny the pain always comes with an arrhythmia but hey, what do I know?
Avatar m tn ve noticed that while running and usually just after the first 5 minutes, I get a kind of chest pain that somehow feels kind of muscular pain but makes my running difficult and I usually stop. It seems located all over my chest, like I got my muscles tired over there, on my cage rib. But my breeding is ok, I don't get out of air. I'm also getting out of a bad cold, although now I'm ok, I don't know if it has any relation.
Avatar n tn ve occasionally had a stich like pain in the centre of my chest while running. I can run through it and other than the pain there are no other symptoms. My GP just says there is no problem but I wonder if I need more tests, eg stress echo etc. Any ideas? Or is it my heart just telling me to not train so hard? (I do push myself to max heart rate in most training runs).
Avatar f tn I have been having chest pains over the past couple of hours. It has been a steady pain....(7-7.5 on a scale of 1-10)... I've had a little bit of pain in my shoulder as well...What could be causing this? I am 5'8" and I weigh 260. I do have high blood pressure and asthma, (i take Lisinopril and Albuterol for those). My BP has still been running high, although I was just switched to Lisinopril from Propranolol 4 days ago. Should I go to the ER?
212161 tn?1599427282 Any type of chest/shoulder/pain between shoulder blades type of pain should be considered a medical emergency and should be checked out by a doctor
Avatar n tn Sometimes I get a sensation in the center of my chest when I exert myself suddenly. My endurance during running has decreased over the last couple of months as well. I've been to my doctor and he says that I have a heart murmur. The ECG did not reveal anything abnormal. My blood pressure is reasonable (typically 135/77 - I measure it daily). I'm scheduled for an Echocardiogram and Stress Test. I'm also carrying a Nitro spray as a precaution, although I haven't had to use it.
Avatar m tn There's a rule: any chest pain that you can touch with your fingers is NOT heart pain. Pain from the heart comes from a different nerve arrangement ; it is deep and cannot be touched. You have something else going on so put your mind at ease about your heart. Whatever is going on is outside your chest cavity. It might be a pinched nerve or something like that, but nothing to panic about.
Avatar f tn For anyone male or female and chest pressure or chest pain is suspect and a doc should examine you to make sure that you don't have something serious going on with you. However a pulse rate of 166 is way too high and needs to be addressed by a doctor. So the short answer is no....those two symptoms are not normal and you need to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible ecel.
Avatar f tn Had chest pains and today it feels like I my chest is really sore..I dont want to go running to the Dr everytime I think something is wrong...My question is..Is it possible I had another one??????
591312 tn?1218868480 Yesterday I did not feel any chest pain, but I have had this pain earlier this month as well, one time I could not even sleep lying down because my chest hurt each time my heart palpitated. On my previous post I mentioned that the pain was literally as if a needle was progressively going through the heart as I inhaled, and pain relieved progressively as I exhaled. I do not have any injuries in my chest.
Avatar f tn Chest pain? Don't wait around for answers, go see your doctor.
Avatar n tn About 2 months ago I had an abnormal ekg. I went to the ER two different times with chest pain and had normal ekgs there and my enzymes and Xray was normal. I have weird symptoms like body pain with throbs around my body that either feel like spasms or twitching. I had a normal stress test. have recently had more pains in my chest they are on the left side they are sharp sometimes. I am now worried it could be a heart valve issue. I have a slight cough but not breathing problems.
Avatar m tn I can run fine for about 5 minutes and then a dull ache eventuates in my upper left chest. If I continue running the pain grows more and more severe, extending right to the back of my chest. It gets so severe that I physically could not continue to run without fearing collapsing from a heart attack. When I stop to take a breath the pain slowly fades away, but I dont notice that I am particularly breathless.
212161 tn?1599427282 ok I ask you last week about back and chest /arm pain, since than I have talk to my cardio dr and shes not really pushing for a stress test. after that happen I decided to see if it happen again. now I have rods running down both sides of my spine, got them at 35 now 54 they give me problems I have walked my basement stairs 8 times up and down 15 steps each way, no problem , I mowed grass two days running no problem, and I have walked my treadmill.
Avatar n tn Hi I'm a 17 yr old girl who have been having chest pains while running. This never happened before I joined my crosscountry team at school ( I was fine in the beginning but these problems started occurring during races). Recently, in the middle of running, my upper chest (around my heart starts hurting) I start feeling dizzy and I cant think straight. I only feel better when I bend down and take a breath but I usually feel like collapsing when I stop running.
Avatar m tn At a certain point i have to stop running because of the pain. After i stop running, i cant take deep breaths without this stabbing pain at the top of my chest, and as a result of trying to breathe harder i end up coughing, and sometimes i cough up mucus like i have a cold. Also, right at the time the chest pains happen, i start feeling dizzy, like im dehydrated. Hours after i have stopped running, i still have extremely minor pains when breathing normally.
Avatar m tn chest tightness, pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, passing out etc. that definitely warrant evaluation. Seeing your chest move when your heart beats is nothing to be concerned about. Also, good on you for getting back into your cardio routine! Many find this helps with anxiety symptoms and of course with overall health.
Avatar m tn My husband is 32 years old in great shape and has been having chest pain, upper left back pain, lower abdominal and side pain, and shooting pain down his left arm with some numbness. He has been dealing with these symptoms for a while now and keeps going to the doctor and running all these tests and nothing. Yesterday, while he was at work he had to leave and go to the e.r. and of course nothing, they told him to go to his doctor. which is what we have been doing.
237053 tn?1258828426 For the last few days I've developed intermittant chest pain (left side) right where my heart it. It isn't severe, just kinda achy. It comes and goes, but I'm kinda concerned about it. I'm having it right now accompanied with air hunger. Very uncomfortable. Does anyone else get this? What causes it? I'm going in this morning to see dr and will be interested to see what she says. How can they deny that I am clearly having problems?
Avatar f tn Hi all, have you found the causes of your SVT sarahmg andĀ helzbelz1984?
Avatar m tn Over the past 3-4 years I have been experiencing a regular dull chest pain. Sometimes it occurs a few times a day, sometimes once or twice, other times it won't happen for several days. The pain is generally focused on my left hand side, however it will occasionally (very rarely) occur on the right hand side. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain possible, it would only be about a 3. It does not interfere with my day to day life in any manner--beyond being a source of concern.
Avatar m tn I have been getting a pain in my upper right abdominal area while running. The pain occurs about 15-20 minutes into my run (like clockwork). It is sort of a cramp-like pain underneath my ribcage on the right side. I have had pain in this area for many years while running off and on. (I thought it was side stitches) The problem is that it is getting worse and I can't make it go away anymore.
Avatar m tn One day, after having a rather heavy day doing tricep extensions and bicep curls, I was messing around and tried to fall on my face and catch myself in a push up, and then push myself back up to standing. I did so. However, afterwards I had an extreme pain that hurt to move my chest, and turn my neck. the pain has been isolated to the extreme left of my right pectoral muscle (pretty much feels like its touching my sternum) and it is hard to manipulate it to make it hurt.
Avatar n tn I do a lot of running and I have a lot of troubles with the muscles that run from my shoulders into my chest. Sometimes the pain goes over my shoulder into my back between the shoulder blades. I have had tons of Cardio test and have pasted them all. It feels like the muscle are always "clinched" or flexed. It seems to bother me more when I do faster runs then long runs. It has become a constant pain that flairs up on occasion. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I am fairly active and have just started running again. I have been experiencing some very dull chest pain for the last few weeks. I have had this chest pain before and took myself to ER to see what was causing it. The doc in the ER did an ECG and nothing showed up. I am now experiencing this pain again. It happens sporadically, sometimes it's in the center of my chest and sometimes it is more to left or to the right side. I have no other symptoms. Should I be worried?
Avatar m tn Hello my name is jordan and im 15 and im just here to tell you that any time i take a "deep" breath i get a pain in the middle of my chest yet it feels like its in my back. I play basketball and after i got done running i could hardley breath and the pain was defiently there. Do you have any idea what this could be??
Avatar f tn and started training on November 2017, everything was going fine until my first SVT while running on 25 March 2018, I was about to cross the 10k when suddenly I felt something on my chest, lack of strength and air, some pain, I couldn't bread no more, I felt like I was going to collapse right there...
Avatar n tn I would definitely take her to the doctor ASAP. That is not normal for a 17 year old. If it's nothing to worry about, you'll know. You can't play around with chest pain, and hope it's nothing or that it will go away. Get her checked out.
