I have 2 suggestions based on my own previous experiences, but it depends on where the pain is under your ribs -- what side, front or back, high or low, etc.

Right side pain under your ribs can indicate high blood pressure. The pain comes from your liver trying to compensate. I don't know how it works exactly but that's what my doctor said. If you were further along I would say it's just your stomach and uterus pushing into your ribs, but since it's so early in your pregnancy it is likely something else. Good luck!
I'm 17 weeks 2 days. And this horrible pain has started under my ribs. I'm not sure what it could be. It almost takes my breath away at times. Any thoughts?
Since approximately 2005 I have had a dull aching pain that would come and go under my right ribs. It started as a mild discomfort but, over the past year it has gotten extremely worse. It is a sharp and gnawing type pain that, at times, make me feel like I cannot get a good breath. I cannot say what makes it worse. It seems to not have much of a pattern.
When ever I hold my breath and let all the wind out of my lungs and squeeze my chest it will give me pain on and around my sternum. If I turn my head sharply I will feel pain on the right side. But what hurts me the most is when I push down on my sternum or pull an object into my sternum. Nothing shows up in xrays and the doctors just keep sending me away without telling me anything. Does anyone know what this could be? It also does hurt in my back on the right side when everything hurts.
About 5 years ago I was putting up a fence. I bent over and suddenly felt something "pop" right under the last bottom rib on my right side. The pain was so sharp I almost passed out and had to lay on the ground for about 10 minutes. Ever since then I would have a dull to semi-sharp pain here and there, mostly when I was doing something active or twisting. (maybe every 2 months or so) I chalked this up as a pulled muscle or something.

Has anyone had pain under ribs on right side. The pain started today and hasn't gone away. I had hip and leg pain that went away so I'm hoping this does too. I just am hoping it's nothing bad. Has anyone had something similar?
Ive had this niggling pain in my right side half way up the ribs for a few weeks on and off then 9 days ago it was quite severe. I was admitted to hospital where they said it was gallstones, an ultrasound showed nothing. I came home after one night. My chest xray was clear. The camera into my stomach showed gastritis, ( inflammation of the lining of my stomach). Gp thinks its inflammation of the intercostal muscles but it doesn't hurt when i move, when i eat i get severe pain.
For about 2 years now I've had an intermittent pain below my ribs on the right side, going around to my back on the same side, right around the bottom of my ribs in the back. I've been to my doctor many times, no major tests have been done, they did chest xrays and found nothing, and said they believed it to be a muscle related problem. The pain feels muscular, but it lasts for days or weeks at a time, then will suddenly go away for awhile.
About 2 weeks ago I started to have pain under my right shoulder blade and the pain moves all the way to my chest. It also hurts to breathe in deep and to push on my chest/back.It hurts to lay down so I havent slept good at all and I have a 6month old and its hard to pick her up as well. I wasnt sure if it could be muscles or maybe my ribs.. the only thing I did was I sliped in the river and caught myself but that was with my other arm?
Pain killers actually do NOT take the pain away and its miserable for years now, finally after 2 yrs new symptoms have came into play and it almost seems as if something is just attacking the whole right side of my body?
