Hi, I'll start by giving a quick run down of what's been going on, 10 days ago I felt a bit run down, no cold or flu symptoms or anything just really tierd like I'd done too much. Two day later I woke up in agony all the muscles in my chest rib and upper back hurt like I'd been doing to much excersize but I'd done nothing.
I have an extremely sharp pain on the right side of my chest when getting out of bed. It starts to hurt when I lay on my sides. When I try to roll over, the pain shoots through my right side. And when I try to get up and out of bed, I can only move an inch or two at a time getting up. Once I get on my feet, it goes away after a minute or so. The pain is so bad it feels like being electrocuted.
Chest pain on the RIGHT side of your chest is rarely associated with your heart. There are also about a hundred things that could be causing this pain. When you tell us that by reaching for your alarm clock with your right arm, this is when you feel the sharp pain in your chest. My first thought is that you've pulled a muscle in your chest wall which is exacerbated when you reach for the alarm.
I have had this pain in my right side around to my lower back for about 10 years. It feels like it is swollen and could compare it to the pain of a bruise I guess, though in the lower back part is a sharper pain. I have had ultrasounds done on my kidneys, pancreas, and liver. My gallbladder was removed about 4 years ago but the pain is still here and worse.
I have had for the past 4 years ongoing muscle pains on only the right side of my body. The right side of my neck gets tense, my head hurts on the right, my right arm, my right upper back, lower back, my right buttocks, my right leg and all the way to my right Achilles tendon. Even my chest starts to feel tense on the right side. I can only describe it as a sore muscle, like after a good workout. But it's always there.
went to doc today for right side and right back area hurting.. I have hep c 1A and they did urine sample and liver panel with ast and alt... just one was slightly elevated.. Iam really scared.. they think I may have strained my back... in which I didn't tell them I been moving a whole house... but it radiates to the front area.. just worried I guess.. sorry to bother anyone..
Hi. I am a 35 year old female. I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago due to gallstones. I'm now experiencing right side pelvic pain which is like a pulling, cramping kind of pain that comes and goes. Another concern I have is I bleed lightly during ovulation as well for about 2 days then it stops. I'm trying to figure out if the pelvic pain I'm experiencing is due to reproductive organs or ibs. Anyone have similar kind of symptoms?
For 8 weeks I've had pain in my right side (where my arm would rest naturally so all the way round at the side of my torso) , focused around the ribs and just under shoulder blade. Also occasionally creeping into the right breast. I have had a clear mammogram and ultrasound (at annual review last month) and orthopedic Dr saw nothing on chest x-ray. Have been referred for CT scan. But meantime disturbing my sleep and weirdly even codeine and anti inflammatory medicine doesn't help.
Im a 17 year old female and im fairly healthy, but for the past 2 months ive been experiencing Ribcage pain on the right side moving round to the right side of my back, my doctor wont test me for liver problems and he says im too young to have developed liver problems, doe anyone know what could be causing the pain or how to relieve it as it makes it hard to care for my 6 month old son
Its a very small dull pain, I am also experiencing pain right below my right rib cage, on the upper side of my stomach. It feels as if the lining of the stomach hurts, not sure if that makes any sense but that would be the best way to describe it. It only lasts a few seconds and then it'll go away only to repeat itself a few minutes later. It is not a constant pain, it is not happening 24 hrs a day, it seems to be a few episodes happening throughout the entire day.
I am a 26-yr-old female and for the past couple weeks I have been experiencing some pain in the left side of my chest. At times, it will come on suddenly, as though there is a giant bubble that won't pop and is so painful its hard to breath. It usually last a min or two. Most of the time, there is just a dull pain that continues in that area and sometimes spreads to the shoulder and upper arm. I am concerned because it is becoming more frequent but I am not sure what it is.
Ive had this niggling pain in my right side half way up the ribs for a few weeks on and off then 9 days ago it was quite severe. I was admitted to hospital where they said it was gallstones, an ultrasound showed nothing. I came home after one night. My chest xray was clear. The camera into my stomach showed gastritis, ( inflammation of the lining of my stomach). Gp thinks its inflammation of the intercostal muscles but it doesn't hurt when i move, when i eat i get severe pain.
I have a bad pain in my right side of my abdomen. I was taking HCG drops. Had a ct scan, xray and ultrasound done yesterday and they dont know what is causing the pain. I'm an 18 yr old female. I've been having this pain in my right side, below my breast and in the rib region. I went to a pediatrician about 3 years ago who (doing no test at all) told me it was probably growing pains. I don't believe it's growing pains because it's been off and on pain like this for 3 years. The pain is occurring more and more often now. And I'm positive I'm not pregnant. I am a virgin.
Right side pain can sometimes indicate appendicitis. When the doc released the pressure, did you have pain then, called "rebound pain". Are you nauseous? Running a fever? If it continues, I would see another doctor and ask for more tests, one being a white blood count, it is better to be safe than sorry.
