Avatar n tn Hi, I'm currently living in Bolivia. A few months ago I went out with some freinds here and we were offered and took cocaine. I'm not looking for sympathy I know it was dumb! Anyway I learned my lesson after becoming totally freaked out, panic attack, insomnia, racing heart, everything. about 10 hours after taking the drugs I realized something serious might have happened, my heart was beating so fast and there was chest pain when I moved etc...
Avatar f tn Can anyone explain this medical term?
Avatar f tn Normally troponin level is very low, and when an individual has significantly elevated troponin concentrations, then it is likely that the individual has had a heart attack or some other form of damage to the heart. When an individual with chest pain and/or known stable angina (heart related chest pain) has normal troponin values then it is likely not have had a heart attack. So it can be assumed there was a heart cell damaging event.
Avatar n tn I saw a doctor yesterday for chest pain, which I have had all week. The EKG showed anteroseptal infarction-age undetermined. I have been searching for a definition for this term but have yet to find it. I will see a cardiologist next week and have a stress test soon. In the meantime, I would like to know the definition of this term. This is very stressful for me. I am 49 years old, and have never had any heart symptoms until now.
652415 tn?1224239726 A few months ago I gave birth to my daughter 14 weeks prematurely (due to the HELLP Syndrome), 2 weeks later I had shortness of breath, chest pain, disorientation, etc. I was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism & have been on Coumadin since. A month or so after the PE was found I began having headaches, dizziness, & severe chest pain. My PCP & the ER doctors have been unable to find a cause after CAT scans/halter monitors/EEG's, etc.
Avatar n tn The Canabidiol is the compound from pot that has shown benefit for MS spasms and perhaps pain in recent laboratory studies. But unless you can get certified, medical grade low THC/high Canabidiol product, your self-medicating most probably will bite you in the butt in the long term.
Avatar n tn I am trying to find out when the term Hiatal Hernia was first used in the medical community. I first heard about it in 1981 which showed up in my civilian medical report for the first time. Prior to this time which dates back to 1968 my military records show Epigastric pain and acute Epigastric pain with substantial chest pain.
Avatar n tn I've been having constant pain in my chest in th middle and right side. It is not sharp but an aching pain. Wondering what could cause this? I've had inflamed pecks in the past and this is not the same pain. I am a 30 year old woman of mixed race.
215164 tn?1269466240 On the outside of my forearm I can feel the pulse of the muscular nerve firing off at random and it causes my wrist to move outward on it's own on both hands. I can see the muscle contract in my arm as well. This can continue for a few mins, hours or days. Does anyone know the correct medical term for this? I don't think it will fall under either fasciculation or myokomia.
Avatar m tn Chest pain, difficulty breathing, and abdominal distention are not normal and warrant medical attention. Your PCP would be an appropriate place to start and can run tests to determine the nature of your symptoms. Trying to self diagnose or have others diagnose you over a medical forum is no substitute for an actual doctorwo can examine you, run tests, and knows your medical history.
Avatar f tn My husband is almost 28 years old, tall and very skinny. He was diagnosed with having very high blood pressure at the age of 16. Because he has been unemployed for a while we were unable to afford his blood pressure medication. Last Friday My husband came home early from his new job that he had been at for 3 days. He told me he wasn't feeling good & he felt really nauseous. He then ran to the bathroom & threw up.
Avatar n tn I have had a five month long headache with eye movement pain with the onset of flu/mono. The WEIRDEST thing happened the other day. I put on some organic lotion I purchased at the healthfood store that I have used before. I put it on my legs and all over my face. I got a rash, but only on my cheeks and forehead. Ironically, the only place I got the rash is where my headache has been. WEIRD. I tried it again and the same thing occured. Doctors also think I have fibromyalgia/cfs.
Avatar m tn Recently the pain has continued to spread into the central left of the chest. Again, a burning stabbing pain. No shortness of breathe, not crushing pain. I feel the arrhythmia and pain must be related, as I had no issues for 1st 45 years, now both within 3 months. Doctors have a long list of what it is not, but no answers for what it is. Any thoughts or similar experiences ? Thanks for any insight.
Avatar f tn The pain is on and off, I don't have any medical issues thus far and my bp numbers are good. What bothers me is consistent heaviness on the chest itz like I'm carrying load or something.
Avatar f tn Following a TIA four years ago I ceased taking female hormones. This morning, while lying in bed, I had a very slight chest pain which was just left of centre and seemed to extend through to my upper back. It was only slight and lasted less than 20 minutes and then went away. Should I seek medical attention? I should like to express my thanks in advance for any guidance provided.

1159737 tn?1286517257 The edibles are like taking a pain pill, but without all the weirdness of being on a narcotic pain medication and without the dependency. I have only smoked at night before bed, between the edible and smoking I have been sleeping all night and not waking up because of pain or waking up with pain. I have to say I am actually kind of surprised. Since I do not take pain pills, I was pretty much left without any means of relief from my pain.
Avatar m tn Im a 24 yr old male, 205lbs, 6ft, cholesterol 245. I'm a very inactive person for about 4 years now, and I noticed that I can minor activities and be winded and have a fast heart rate that I can feel without putting my hand on my chest, and I also can feel it in my throat and everywhere else where you can feel your pulse. Just by walking up a flight of stairs I get super winded. I've been having recurrent localized left side chest pain for about 2 yrs now.
