Im a 24 yr old male, 205lbs, 6ft, cholesterol 245. I'm a very inactive person for about 4 years now, and I noticed that I can minor activities and be winded and have a fast heart rate that I can feel without putting my hand on my chest, and I also can feel it in my throat and everywhere else where you can feel your pulse. Just by walking up a flight of stairs I get super winded. I've been having recurrent localized left side chest pain for about 2 yrs now.
Lately, as in the past week or so, whenever I have a cigarette I feel as though I am exhaling too much, and can feel a cold dull feeling washing over the left side of my chest. Is this my lung, my heart, perhaps just the muscle? I do not excersize too often, rarely in fact. My girlfriend was recently in the hospital for a heart issue, where they did an ablasion due to an extra pathway that was causing her heart to get up to 200 beats a minute.

The past year and a half, I have been in the charity system and had multiple test including, echo's, blood work, stress test, holter monitors, ekgs. I recently just got insurance and got established with a family Doc, been seeing hime about 3 months. I've had an ekg, holter monitor, and blood work done through him.
It is more under the nipple to left side of my chest and left arm sometimes. I also get pain in my back sort of between shoulder blades when it is really bad. I have had ekg, reads normal ,BP 123/87 no shortness of breath. My cholesterol levels, bad cholesterol was below slightly do not remember exact number. Good cholesterol was slightly higher than normal but was told that helps to fight coronery disease.I do not have insurance and both my wife and I recently lost our jobs.
Hey there, ive been having some general chest/abdominal pains recently (for about 2 weeks now) in my left upper abdomen/ lower chest area. Itt's mostly dull, ache type pain but can be sharp. In fact, last night i was woken out of my sleep with the same sharp pain, but felt on the other side at about the same height, the right side.
She started out with the normal blood work and urinalisis and a chest x-ray, b/c I had her feel my left side and near there bottom of my ribs you can feel a bump and when you touch that bump it hurts so bad and i feel like i'd go into shock. so that's why she ordered the chest x-ray thinking it was a bone spur, which was fine i was hopeing that she would find it was so I would just know for once what it is.
On Nov 29 I wrote to you about my youngest son (16) who was complaining of chest pain and subsequently of weakness in the left side of his body. I called his pediatrician and she had me take him to the emergency room to have him checked out. After running several tests, including blood test and a Head CT w/contrast. Every test result was normal, but his white blood cells where a little low which the hospital thought might be caused by a slight viral infection.
Close to 2 hours after my last drink while i was dancing, i discovered a very sharp stabbing like pain on the left side of my chest. As soon as this happened I rushed outside and my friends followed with a glass of water. After a couple of minutes with this pain, i also started getting a shortness of breath followed by me getting dizzy and my body had started shaking. My friends immediately rushed me to the nearest hospital.
recently, i have been getting sharp pains radiating from the center of my chest to the left side of my chest. its rather intense. it also happens when i take deep breaths... i have previously had to go to the emergency room and i had an ekg done (which came back normal). i had chest xrays and they were normal as well. just wondering why i'm having these horrible chest pains and if i should be concerned....
When it is angina the chest pain gets worse when you are standing up and moving around. Gets less when you are resting. I take nitroglycerin under tongue for chest pain. If it doesn't go away in 15 minutes then I call my dr or an ambulance and go to emergency room. If your left chest hurts when you go to sleep it is not a typical angina pain. BUT you should check out any chest pain with a doctor. I know you don't have insurance. Try the hospital outpatient clinics.
okay hers the question over the last couple of months once in a while I get a sharp pain under my left chest muscle almost on my side, it only last a second or 2. usually I am siting down. It hasnt happen while I have been active. there are no other symptoms . I take my bp right after it happens and its is122/ 82 paulse 83, my doctor says it a typical chest pain and not to worry . well I am worried what do you think.
