I am 40yr.old female. Pain on left side of chest (just under breast) began 1yr ago, sporadically, not necessarily during exercise (sometimes middle of the night), lasting for minutes to hours. Progressively more frequent. No significant SOB or fatigue. Edema in extremeties also comes and goes. Recent ultrasound revealed 1) Hypokenisis of left AND right ventricle, 2) mild pulmonary hypertension and 3) mitral regurgitation.
I am 25 years old and have been suffering with pain in the left side of my chest right under my breast for about 3 years now. The pain is absolutely horrible and almost unbearable at times. I also can only sleep on my back at night. I have been to many doctors and physical therapists who either dismiss me all together or try to send me to psychiatrists.
I started having pain in the left side of my chest near my left breast and near my sternum the pain comes and goes, but reccently have become more frequent. I had a heart echo back in January everything came4 back normal, had numerous EKGs and they were all normal my doctor said it was due to my gallbladder which I don't think there is anything wrong with my gallbladder. Now I am experiencing pain in my left breast and pain in my left arm pit.
Am 39yo, just two weeks ago I had pain on the left side of the chest. Went to my primary clinic and they did test on my breathing, result was fine with no abnormality. However doctor prescribed brufen and said if the pain is still there after three days I should go back. I plan to make another appointment next Monday since the pain is still there. Am now noticing my left breast showing different colour ( to my left side. Am hoping it’s not the symptoms of breast cancer. What do you think?
I did a self exam and it feels like my left side portion of my left breast is harder then the right. My OBGYN said I should get a monogram due to my previous heart murmur I had when I was 15 or 16. Should I be nervous that my left side of my breast has been aching near my heart area and more harder then the other side? Thanks in advance This discussion is related to Chest pain (left side).

I have been experiencing a dull pain and tightness on the side and under my left breast. At times I'll get the slightest sensation of being out of breath. The last time it happened it felt like something near my heart did a backflip. I'm a relatively in shape 21 year old with no history of any sort of problems. It's been happening a few times a month.
For about a week or so, I've had sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It kills me to cough, & hurts when I breath. It also hurts if I push on it. Can anyone help on what it could be?? Should I see a doctor? Where should I go if I have no insurance, but need to see a doctor?
I have a sharp throbbing pain in my left breast. Spreads through the breast to sternum, also in arm. If I sit, move or breathe it hurts. What could the cause be?
Hi, I am a 22 year old female and for the past 4 days I have noticed not really a pain but that someting doesnt feel quite right on the left side of my chest just above my breast. I am very active and have not had any problems before, Is this something I should be worried about.
About 5 days ago, I started experiencing stabbing chest pains on my right side under my breast. I am a 56 yr old breast cancer survivor (left breast) of 3 years. The pain is sometimes accompanied with heartburn but not always. It wakes me up during the night and if I roll around onto the other side, it subsides somewhat (but not completely).
I've been suffering for about 4 months now with pain on the left side of chest under the breast. The pain comes on suddenly very sharp, then it dulls to when I take a breath. It seems like when I go to take a breath, something gets caught and I can't take the full breath. I've been getting it 3-4 times a week, sometimes 2 times a day. I've had x-rays done which were negative, don't know where to go with this now...doctors don't seem to know either. Help!
But for the past several months, have a dull ache off and on my left side of chest. It's hard to determine if its my breast or deeper down. It's not severe enough that I double over or anything but definitely catches my attention. I have been feeling extremely tired in the afternoons, so much so that driving home from work each afternoon I feel like I could fall asleep and I have a very short drive. I guess my question is should I call my doctor and have this checked?
However, yesterday morning I woke up with an intense pain in my left shoulder blade, after about an hour the pain was also in my chest on the left side. On my way to work I stopped into a store and recall feeling somewhat lightheaded. I took a few aspirin and went home for the day. The shoulder blade pain has gone away, but the chest pain has continued and is still present. It is a constant dull ache encompassing my left breast.

today, i had a severe pain on the left side of my chest. like in my left breast, extending towards the side and back. it's constant pain and i feel like vomiting a bit because of that pain. it got so severe that i had to lie down and then it felt a bit better but it's still throbbing. i recently got put on antibiotics (azithromycin) for a throat infection, but these pains are not a side effect.
I have been experiencing pain in the left side of my chest, it hurts all the time especially when I take deep breathes. I don't think it is the breast itself because it is a deep pain. I hope it is nothing bad.. do you know what it could be?
It's going on two months that I keep getting sharp pain on my left side breast. I haven't seen a doctor yet I don't know how to explain what I feel. It doesn't last long but I try to breath it hurts more. What you think it could be? Should I see a doctor?
I did have a benign lump in my right breast removed over a year ago... the pain in my chest and breasts are almost like a burning sensation.
It may be related to pleura - lung membrane, or to lymph nodes in armpit. Visit your primary doctor who will listen your lungs and check nodes.
