my year old baby has real bad congestion chest that just dont go away shell be fine for a few days and it comes back the dictor gave me inhealers for her but im not sure if that all she needs she is even behind on her shots for that reson??

What it feels like is the chronic post nasal drip I have has caused congestion in my upper chest. However, the weird part is, I really have no cough, and the occasional cough has never brought anything up. In the past, if my chest begins to feel this way, it is followed by the painful cough and coughing stuff up. I would not call what I have sometimes as pain, it feels more like irritation. When I am active, as well as when I drink a lot of water, it seems to be much better.

Anything to help or give baby for congestion. I took my daughter to the her doctor (&) he said she's coming down with a little cold. He did say i could use saline nose drops as well needed.

I have had severe congestion from the very beggining. I use a neti pot and use a steam inhaler. It seems to work pretty good. I have two humidifiers one in living room and one in bedroom. They help me not blow blood when I blow my nose. Some times it gets really bad and it feels like my sinuses are on fire. I'm always sneezing too. I do have alergies which I'm not looking forward to in the next few weeks and all summer long.

For the congestion go into the bathroom put a towel at the bottom of the door and turn hot water and shower on full blast. It will create a steam room and clear it out. I do it when I get congested and it works amazing.

For nose rinse your nostrils with warm water not too hot dont burn urself and try breathing in the steam usually opens nostrils. Or put vicks on ur chest n feet. Helps you breathe. And ur back too!

Did 2 complete antibiotic regemes... finally had a chest xray since I was still coughing and the doc cough hear congestion in both sides of mylungs. Three weeks later and I still have this night wheezing and sensation in the lower lungs which is loud enough to wake me... and my husband. Eventually, I cough and cough and sometimes produce a "plug" of mucus. This gives me relief and I can sleep. But the wheezing returns...

I also found soaking a cloth in hot water and putting it on my chest really helps, or either making a hot mustard paste compress for my chest or a hot mustard foot soak really helps the sinuses/chest congestion.

For congestion my husband ran the shower using only hot water and I sat on the toilet with the restroom door closed in a room full of warm steam. You can do several things to help with congestion. Run a hot shower, as hot as possible to steam up your bathroom, then bring kitty in. If you have a humidifier, get that going. I am concerned with the swelling, so this may of gone into an infection. Is this the same kitty with the other two issues you posted about? This type of condition is likely due to the herpes virus. Do you have kitty on Lysine?

We all have a humidifier in our room during the winter at my house, and they're wonderful. They help with congestion and that icky dry feeling.
