Chest congestion only symptom

Common Questions and Answers about Chest congestion only symptom

chest

My mom has had really bad chest congestion and coughing for about 3 weeks now. She also has some chest tightness. She sounded terrible today when I called her. I'm worried because she had 3 stints put in her heart about 3 years ago and has heart disease. Could the chest congestion have anything to do with her heart? I'm just a little worried about her and wondered. Thanks for any info on this.
hycomet is a narcotic cough suppressant (liquid).....I had deep chest congestion, thought I had pneumonia and the hycomet helped....unfortunately, it also delayed my withdrawal, as I had a few weeks without Vic, then the hycomet came along...so, it has been like going thru withdrawal 2 times, even tho only on hycomet for a week...but....
So far I did have upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, abdominal/pelvic, and head CT, which are all pretty much clear. Abd. CT stated lung bases are clear. Most recent chest x-ray also was clear and it was done few days ago. I do have a lot of throat clearing and mucous in my throat and nose, which is always clear, I do not cough. However, I wake up congested most of the time. I have a lot of mucous in my throat when I eat as well.
Other symptoms are Foamy Urine with strong smell Undigested food in stool/fat in stool Fatigue aches and pains - back and legs sinus congestion white thick saliva white coated tongue sensitivity to hot and cold stomach pains clicking joints the only diagnosis I have is gastritis.
Except for the other symptoms I'd have thought I pulled a muscle wile lifting weights. I also had a slight feeling of chest congestion. After about a week I developed a minor cold but the other symptoms went away. Within a week, though, I was waking up with night racing again, anxiety, chest tightness. This lasted about three days. Then it subsided to the knot again. I have continued have minor symptoms for the last couple of months.
I'm having chest pains again!! I'm concerned because I haven't been lifting weights and my chest pain had gone away from May. I've been feeling a bit congested and have been sneezing; maybe I have a cold? I've had sharp pain in the left breast (same spot as the other two times), dull pain in my right breast, some random, dull/light pains in my arms and left thigh, and some achiness in my lower ribs.
This past Monday I was diagnosed with pneumonia by chest xray and symptoms of fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, body aches and sent home with antibiotics and bed rest. The Xray was then sent to radiology to be formally read. On Wednesday, the clinic called and said that the radiologist wanted me to have a CT of my chest b/c he felt that there were abnormal areas which he wanted to rule out metastatic disease. Now mind you the only symptom given to him was cough.
So, your situation is possible. I remember I had pneumonia as a child with the only symptom of vomiting. My mother took me to the hospital and a diagnosis of pneumonia was made based on my chest xray.
About 5 minutes after the tachycardia ended, I have began experiencing palpitations that have intensified over since the attack. Two days after that tachycardic episode, chest pain developed along with the palpitations. This feeling of pressure in the center of my chest is always accompanied by the palpitations and will sometimes last only 3-4min and other times for several hours (especially in the evenings).
in my case they entered thorugh the groins only. no scars at all, cant even find the spots anymore. i had chest discomfort and felt pooped for about 3 weeks, then everything subsided. no tachycardias or high blood pressures in my case, probably since i never had symptoms of the kind to start with. however, after 1 year i still feel my hear sometimes.l cant call it pain, but i feel it is there and that work has been done in there.
I have a variety of things going on here. I'll try to keep it as simple as possible. About 4 weeks ago I began to have a dry, unproductive cough that resulted in a dry/sore throat, as well as a hoarse voice. About 3 days into it, the cough became VERY productive. After about 2 full weeks, the coughing become MUCH LESS FREQUENT, but still there. In fact, I STILL have a cough (not NEAR as bad as before....but I still do have to cough).

I've had a fairly bad cough that last for about 3 weeks, it has fully subsided, except i still have some nasal congestion. Now i've been having pain on the left side of my chest, usually when i touch it or take a deep breath. I went to my doctors a few days ago, and he did a basic physical, said that my lungs and heart sounded fine, my bp was normal. I don't have trouble breathing when sleeping or exercising.
For the past four years, I've experienced a strange rubbing sound/sensation in my lower throat/upper chest area. It occurs only whenever I twist my torso from side to side, such as when exercising, or quickly turning to the side via pivoting at the waist. It feels & sounds like something is causing friction. I cannot pinpoint where it is coming from, but it seems to be my lower throat/upper chest, somewhere around collarbone level. It seems to be located within the windpipe or esophagus.
Hi everyone i was diagnosed with GERD about 2 years ago and have tried all different types of meds none of which seem to help my symptoms lately i have been experiencing a dull neck and chest pain on my left side and also shortness of breath and some lightheaded ness i've had an ekg done and my reg doc says my heart checks out fine and that the chest pain is prolly just from the gerd. He gave me no explanation about the neck pain.
Gross as it sounds, you'll be relieving the gas congestion in your chest, and the relief will be almost immediate. The embarrassment of being somewhat ill-mannered by necessity shouldn't override removing the gas, and the pain, out of your system. Homeopathic Remedy This remedy has been around for a long time. Add a few drops of peppermint, ginger, or cinnamon extract to a glass of water, and drink it.

My soar throat went away but I developed sinus congestion which also left after about a day. I am now left with chest congestion and a cough. As with chest congestion I have previously experienced, I cough up a slight amount of phlegm. I am just now today experiencing a sensation of fluid slowly building up in my lower throat/chest when I am breathing and must swallow to clear this fluid like sensation only to have it return moments after. Is this a normal symptom of a simple chest cold?

At about 6 dpo I had sinus congestion which is now only in the am but now at about 7 or 8 dpo I starting itching like crazy. I itch on my back, chest, stomach, arms, neck, pretty much everywhere. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this this early in pregnancy. I have NOT changed anything in my life that would cause this. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
its a pressure to my chest not a congestion, also, i have hot and cold flashes
cough, chest congestion, low grade fever (99.4), and recently a sore throat that has gone away. I have ruled out many of these symptoms. The first two, cough and congestion are from my allergies, as I had them before we made any sexual contact with each other. The sore throat... Well, let's just say he was rough and poked the back of my throat pretty roughly a few times. That has happened before with oral, so not very worried about that. The only thing concerning me is my sudden lowgrade fever.
The symptoms you feel are mostly due to the withdrawal, including anxiety, stress and flu like symptoms. Usually chest tightness is a common symptom in those who quit smoking. This lasts for a few days after last cigarette. The tightness (not actually pain) is due to anxiety and stress and due to various changes in body due to nicotine withdrawal.
By this time, my only symptom was dizziness. She evaluated me with a possible virus which was causing congestion which was making me feel dizzy. She prescribed Allegra and Meclizine. It has been a few days, and I am still feeling dizzy. A few moments ago, I felt as if my heart missed a beat again and then beat one time really hard. It was as if I couldn't move for half a second and then my chest thumped really hard. Is this all related and should I be concerned?
It's worrying me it's been almost a month that I have had this constant fever and I have even getting weak and having chest pains and trouble breathing that I'm guessing is connected with it. If you have any ideas what it could be please let me know?
One day i woke up, with head pressure, a big wooshing feeling in the head like my head was being tightened. Also i had nausea aswell.. I've had -Chest CT (to check for blood clots), Sinus CT (showed mild congestion in maxillary sinus), Blood tests (all fine), Taken 2 courses of antibiotics (doxy-100, rulide) Currently having a blood test for allergies will get results in a week, My ENT thinks its allergies.
They finally listened to my pleas of pain in my pelvic and did a pelvic MRI on me only to discover I had Pelvic Congestion. I was dumbfounded. Everything I had read stated that only woman who have had multiple pregnancies develop this syndrome. After a failed IVF, and a couple attempts at chlomid, and folistm, I was still childless. My doctor then proceeded to give me the Pelvic Congestion Diagnosis and sent me away telling me to keep trying.
Every time you get a cold, notice how it usually starts in the throat with a tickle, a scratch, or a slight cough. It then progresses into chest congestion or travels up into the ears and the sinuses. You’ll have a low grade fever, mild chills, and a runny nose. Even if you start out with a runny nose, eventually, you’ll have throat symptoms later on. Sounds like a classic cold, right?
I am overweight 245lbs (currently losing weight, was 274lbs) My follow up chest xray came up clear even though I was at that time also experiencing this symptom. Thank your for any/all help you can give me on this matter.
