Hi, I'm a 28 year old female and offlate (about 2 weeks) I've been feeling this vibration on the left side of my chest. It feels more intense when I've got my arm against the side. It seems to be more in my left breast. I mostly feel it only while I'm sitting. Is this normal? Should I have this checked up or would it go away in a while?

We have a support group on facebook also, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Support. There are others on here who have had a lot of different experiences and some other medical/gyno issues who may have more information than I can provide. Good luck to you with this, its a long, frustrating road!

Now she has a consistant runny nose with a chest cough and conjestion. Her runny nose is clear/ very light green, so that's telling me she may have another ear infection, soemthings not draining properly. No fever.
It has been such a long time since I had a sinus infection and I don't ever remember having this sensation. My right cheek/sinus cavity(only one side has seemed infected) feels sore and really aches. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection about 2 weeks ago----was put on an antibiotic which did not help. Four days ago, I was put on Omnicef.
Based on this presentation, what is going on in my lungs? Why is morning congestion is cleared with one breath? I would also like to add that I have some phlegm taste in my mouth when I wake up as well.
About a month ago I was almost free of pain and then things changed with my job that brought on longer hours and more stress. Now all of it is back and doesn't go away on the weekends when I'm not working. I've seen my GP, ENT and neurologist and no one knows what to do. I just want to be pain free.
We as smokers are used to operating at a faster metabolic level and you take away a stimulant that out bodies are used to and it has to operate on a lower level. I now have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and have congestion and breathing difficulty. Thyroid medication and Anatabine helped a little but now Anatabine is off the market. Thyroid levels are controversial so I was normal TSH but had Antibodies.
You may want to check you lungs and also get a cat scan or ultra sound of the area. They have also suggested it is gastro related. Mine is on the left side, by your saying you had an echo, they were checking your heart because of it?
For me it's been fever, chills, headaches, some nausea though that has passed, skin rash on my torso and legs, weakness, breathlessness, what feels like chest congestion which has been ongoing since Xmas day, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, food tastes funny, my tongue now hurts quite a bit for some reason, as though I have a rash on it. Eye and mouth dryness (carry water with me everywhere), and a sore throat, though not every day.
My son also experienced a lot of congestion, but he wasn't a premie. The humidifier helped and we also got those wedges for him to sleep on. That slight elevation helped a lot for sleeping. I also would steam up the bathroom and sit with him in there. I always situated him in his little bouncy seat while I took hot baths so he could get some relief from the steam. My son breastfed and I remember how hard it was for him sometimes with the congestion.
Relief does come from getting up and on my feet. It isn't just lying down that provokes the congestion, just sitting down will bring it on. Strange. I may also try a light duty breathing mask when mowing, especially when walking behind a trimming mower or string trimmer. I must take some solace in the fact that I got by for so many years without any serious allergy problems.
like-symptoms of a mild case of bell's palsy (the weakness on my left side). Turns out the virus was attacking my nervous system as opposed to my respiratory system even though I was having cold/flu-like symptoms. Anyway the reason why i am saying all this is to say that after this bout, I started to get the itchiness in my lungs/chest/upper back. This happened over 2 mnths ago and I've pretty much recovered from every thing else BUT the tightness/wheezing in my chest and the itchy feeling.
Hi I am 29 yrs old, a little overweight and don't have the best diet when it comes to eating but in the process of changing that. I have been having left side mild off and on chest discomfort for about 2 days. It is barely noticeable but still noticeable enough. I also have a blood pressure checker machine at home which I have been using to monitor my blood pressure and it has been at healthy numbers.
Get a good air filter for your home (Austin Air), get a good night's sleep, sleep on your side (it's easier on your lungs, on the left side especially). Always, always, always breathe through your nose, especially when exercising. Meditate. Take supplements that are recommended for asthma (search PatrickHolford.com for recommendations). And TAKE IT EASY! At least for me this was the hardest thing to do and looking back I wish I'd taken it easier sooner - when I overdo it is when I backslide.
I have had intermittant pain in my right side for 25 years, since I was 19. I had my gall bladder checked out 10 years ago and nothing was found. I coincidently have drank regulary for the same amount of time since I was 19. My liver function tests all come back normal, as I have one done every year, however, the last test a year ago showed a little elevated, in the high 40's. During an ultrasound fatty liver was discovered. I am also overweight.
It looks like the forum (this one and the MD one) have some technical issues going on...so this message is a test.
Your asthma and side effects can be helped by using some breathing exercises. Try these now as pranayam is very safe and helps your body fight. The Yoga Pranayam (breathing exercises) are: Bhastrika - Take a long deep breath into the lungs(chest not tummy) via the nose and then completely breathe out through the nose.Duration upto 5 minutes.
About 5 minutes after the tachycardia ended, I have began experiencing palpitations that have intensified over since the attack. Two days after that tachycardic episode, chest pain developed along with the palpitations. This feeling of pressure in the center of my chest is always accompanied by the palpitations and will sometimes last only 3-4min and other times for several hours (especially in the evenings).
and 1-13-09 I had an ablation procedure done on the right side. The first one went smooth as silk. I was thrilled from day one. But the last one has been quite different. My chest pain has been horrible. Now i know that its just been a day, but I just want to make sure this will GO AWAYsoon. MY doctor said it should go away in three to four days, but my nurses said expect two to three weeks. Thats okay if its typical, just as long as it does GO AWAY.
The only causes I am aware of are bonchiolitis, RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), common cold, asthma, and chest congestion. I would see another doctor and get a second opinion. I know it's a pain, but maybe seeing another specialist would be a good idea.
I am always worse in the spring/summer, although I am constantly congested-my nose seems constantly plugged on one side or the other. What could cause this soreness/burning in my chest? I was wondering if it could be asthma even though I don't test positive for it. Any treatment ideas?
I've had the same feeling of pressure and the "burning" sensation on my eye, congestion, etc. It's only on the right side of my face. The pressure starts at my teeth on the right side of my face and goes up to the top of my head. It feels like I had a numbing shot all over the sinus area of the right side of my face. It's been almost two months now that I've had these symptoms. I'm on Clarithromyc, and after five days I still don't feel any better.
I have Mirena, the plastic one and other than the above mentioned stuff (KIDS) I have had no side effects. The copper one contains no medication at all. The plastic one, Mirena, contains small amounts of hormones, but not enough to cause any changes. It is most likely due to kids. Especially if you feel hubby isn't helping with the kids, sometimes that turns into hidden resentment and lack of interest or attraction. Sometimes kids just seems to make alone time impossible.
I drank some water to flush the remaining mucus down, It didn't woke so I drank a soda and that did it. The chest pain tends to move around. it can be on the left side only or in the sternum or the right side. It can be in the shoulder or move into my left arm. It does tend to often settle in the sternum area when I am at rest. It's painful to the touch and sometimes has a *graveling* sensation to it. If this means anything.
I have been taking flecainide for about 6 months for Atrial fibrillation and my arm and leg joints are sore plus I have chest and lung congestion. My chest feels full and tight most of the time. I would be interested to know the side effects of Flecainide from any one else who takes it.
