chest congestion no coughing

I have this tightness in my chest i kno its mucus but i dont have a cough or cold it hurts when i try to take a deep breath ive never had chest congestion before im not coughing up blood or anything like that. ive been using my asthma pump because when i was younger i had trouble with asthma it helps clearing my airways so i can breath easier but it comes back after awhile. Help?

For about a year now I have had a cough and chest congestion, my doctor has switched my asthma medications several times thinking that might be the reason for my cough and congestion, she's tried many different types of allery medications, I have been to the pulmonologist, had a chest x-ray and nothing was found, but the cough and congestion I still have.

I been having coughing, chest congestion, nasal congestion and coughing up nasty stuff (mucus) ewww. What can I take or what can I do to fight this bug? Because I feel hopeless.

Hi all! I'm currently 6 weeks 5 days and oh man... The pleasure of morning sickness! Other than the nausea and vomiting, I'm also coughing a lot and the phlegm is making my chest and nose super congested. I've read that you'll have more mucus build up during pregnancy, so is it normal to feel this congested during the first trimester? Any advise on how to make the congestion better?

My mom has had really bad chest congestion and coughing for about 3 weeks now. She also has some chest tightness. She sounded terrible today when I called her. I'm worried because she had 3 stints put in her heart about 3 years ago and has heart disease. Could the chest congestion have anything to do with her heart? Is a Hacking Cough with sounds of congestion in the upper chest typical of COPD? My mother for the last month would expel white colored globs of mucus periodically after a few minutes of coughing. She has no fever nor loss of appetite. Her geriatrician tried Azithromycin 500mg tabs for 5 days which seemed to help but then the coughing and globs returned. The doctor then doubled her Pulmicort doseage in her Nebulizer for two weeks to see if that helped plus using Robitussin as needed.

The congestion could just be a leftover from the infection, it's your lungs trying to get rid of the dead bacteria. It may take a few weeks to clear. If it changes colour again or gets worse see a doctor.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and today I woke up with conjugation in my chest with a sore throats and I keep coughing. Just wondering if this is causeing harm to my baby.

Can Bronchiectasis result after just one run in with acute bronchitis that lasted about 3 weeks? I read that it can occur after recurrent infections, but I only had one...acute bronchitis. I ask this because after being diagnosed with acute bronchitis 5 weeks ago and having it for 3 weeks, my cough got MUCH MUCH better, but I still can hear/feel the "chest congestion" and purposefully cough to attempt to get rid of the phlegm in my lungs/chest.
