I have no fever that I know of but I have no nasal congestion or chest congestion. Unless mucus from my nose is draining and making me feel this way. Do you think I am getting the flu?
Lot of nasal congestion and irritated throat.. Two days after sore Throat i lost my voice and a day later began coughing and producing green phlem especially in the morning and At night.. Now ive had green mucus and coughing for almost a week and a half.. No fevers

The virus went away about a week ago (though I still feel fatigued, my ears are un-popped, and have nose congestion) but my voice is still not great. I went for an ultrasound and blood test for my thyroid and those results were normal.
Now just waiting for my ENT appointment on the 24th but hoping to get some advice in the meantime as I need to get back to things.
Go to a hospital so that you can have head and chest x-rays. A chest x-ray is the ONLY way to rule out pneumonia. If you are getting the chest X-ray then no reason not to also have the head X-ray. Doctors treat a sinus infection they can see much more rigorously. Then leave with a good strong antibiotic, if it is a sinus infection you might try Avelox.
t know if this has to do with my voice...I suffer since almost 2 years of noise congestion, I have a lot o f mucus(dry mucus) and I can smell and bad odor when I blow my noise. I feel it is stuffed and when I sing It is kind of hard because I have to project some air to the noise ans sounds weird..

So, it started 2 days ago with clearly my throat, slight cough. Then it turned consistent cough and sinus pressure. Thankfully it was fall break from school so I had two days off. The first day I slept till 6 o'clock at night from falling asleep at 8 o'clock the night before. I woke up with a painful headache and sinus pressure in my face. I was congested with a mild fever, so I went on the attack.
What it feels like is the chronic post nasal drip I have has caused congestion in my upper chest. However, the weird part is, I really have no cough, and the occasional cough has never brought anything up. In the past, if my chest begins to feel this way, it is followed by the painful cough and coughing stuff up. I would not call what I have sometimes as pain, it feels more like irritation. When I am active, as well as when I drink a lot of water, it seems to be much better.
For about a year now I have had a cough and chest congestion, my doctor has switched my asthma medications several times thinking that might be the reason for my cough and congestion, she's tried many different types of allery medications, I have been to the pulmonologist, had a chest x-ray and nothing was found, but the cough and congestion I still have.
I have severe chest congestion. This has been going on for about 3 months. It's strange because I will have constant congestion and cough one day and the next day I will be almost clear. I know that if I have congestion one day the next day I will not. I plan my days accordingly. My dr. has put me on antiboitics and presidone twice in the last 3 months, I've had a chest x-ray last week, shows nothing. I have had allergies all my life.
I have this tightness in my chest i kno its mucus but i dont have a cough or cold it hurts when i try to take a deep breath ive never had chest congestion before im not coughing up blood or anything like that. ive been using my asthma pump because when i was younger i had trouble with asthma it helps clearing my airways so i can breath easier but it comes back after awhile. Help?
Anyway, on tuesday i completely lost my voice, i can only manage a whisper. i went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics, on thursday it was still the same, still no voice what so ever, also for the past week i have had a horrible taste and smell, one i can't explain.. this i can't understand because as i said for eight years i have no sense of smell due to rhinitis.. anybody have any ideas whats could be going on.. is this all conected to my rhinitis.
This morning, I felt quite fine until I went to a language lesson with quite a lot of speaking and then I felt foggy in my head and congested in my ears- particularly left ear and when I went home my voice was hoarse- still quite hoarse with less foggy feeling and congestion.
Does this add up to a head cold now or something else?
Should I see a doctor?
I need my voice to be clear for work tomorrow afternoon.

I am a 27 year old male, I work part time as an art Professor at an university. Yesterday I gave a 15 minute talk and my voice cracked at least 3 times. Inaddition, my voice cracks periodically throughout the week. Do you have any idea what it could be?

About two weeks ago I had a bad upper respiratory viral infection. Fever, congestion, sore throat, throbbing headache, lost my voice, terrible cough, the whole nine yards. I've been symptom free for about a week, and yesterday I started to feel a little pain on the left side of my throat. I looked in the mirror with a flashlight, and my left tonsil was swollen. Allergies are super bad in my area right now, and I get a lot of allergy symptoms every spring so I didn't think much of it.

Its hard to guess, but one thing I would suggest is calling your pharmacy and asking for one of their trained professionals to look at your medicine records and make sure there isnt the possibliity that the medicines your now taking couldnt singularly or in combination, cause your immune system to be supressed.
