I have this tightness in my chest i kno its mucus but i dont have a cough or cold it hurts when i try to take a deep breath ive never had chest congestion before im not coughing up blood or anything like that. ive been using my asthma pump because when i was younger i had trouble with asthma it helps clearing my airways so i can breath easier but it comes back after awhile. Help?
In the past, if my chest begins to feel this way, it is followed by the painful cough and coughing stuff up. I would not call what I have sometimes as pain, it feels more like irritation. When I am active, as well as when I drink a lot of water, it seems to be much better. Sit in front of the tv and the next thing I know I have a glob sitting in my throat. Any information would be grately appreciated.
I been having coughing, chest congestion, nasal congestion and coughing up nasty stuff (mucus) ewww. What can I take or what can I do to fight this bug? Because I feel hopeless.

If your mucus is discoloured like dark yellow to dark green and you get it by coughing then you have a bad infection in your chest. The pain is probably due to the coughing and the irritation of the infection and inflammation. Hi all! I'm currently 6 weeks 5 days and oh man... The pleasure of morning sickness! Other than the nausea and vomiting, I'm also coughing a lot and the phlegm is making my chest and nose super congested. I've read that you'll have more mucus build up during pregnancy, so is it normal to feel this congested during the first trimester? Any advise on how to make the congestion better?
I have terrible chest/nasal congestion for 4 days now. First two days I was coughing up loads of phlegm, yesterday and today my nose has become completely plugged but little phlegm is coming up, just a harsh weesey cough that I can not stop. The coughing is causing pain to my ribs. I am 24 weeks pregnant, have only had my temperature go up 1 degree. Should I go see a doctor? I am with a midwife so she can not help with other medical issues outside of pregnancy.

Went back to the doctor. They put me on more antibiotics. A 5 day, and steroids. It's and the end of the five days and my ribs hurt from coughing, and I'm still congested. I'm really worried.

I ask this because after being diagnosed with acute bronchitis 5 weeks ago and having it for 3 weeks, my cough got MUCH MUCH better, but I still can hear/feel the "chest congestion" and purposefully cough to attempt to get rid of the phlegm in my lungs/chest.
But this morning around 3 he woke up (which is odd because he has been sleeping through the night now for almost 2 months) coughing and crying. I got him up and changed him and he kept coughing so I held him upright and tried rocking him. That didn't help either. He has terrible congestion and it's obvious every time he breaths. Any ways to help soothe him???
