am I still contagious if im taking the z pack for my cough and cold

Last night she had some skin to skin contact (her chest) possibly with the one on my chest and I didn’t realize it at the time. The contact was pretty brief if any. How likely is it that she will catch it?

As to a respiratory infection---- well, if it is an infection, that also is something less contagious. We pass viruses back and forth. So, if she has a cold, that is something you could catch. If it is an infection and she is on antibiotics, it is probably a cold that turned into a secondary infection. meaning, the mucus got trapped in her chest or sinuses and then became bacterial. That isn't contagious but the virus was . . . but that becomes less so as days pass.

Sinus infections are not contagious as they are the secondary infection after a virus (which IS contagious). However, often I have gotten that thick, yellow/green mucous at the end of a cold without infection. If you develop a fever or worsen in symptoms, call your doctor as a secondary infection may have set in. Otherwise, you are suffering a virus that is contagious. Wash your hands frequently and those around you sould do so as well. Wash down door knobs, tv remotes and phones.

Is it possible that you could kiss someone with a cold sore and not get the herpes virus. I know its contagious at all times... but isn't it most contagious during the weezing stage when it explodes and crusts over. What are my chances of getting it ??

ve been contagious for a bit with the cold (probably the day before you had symptoms until now and a few days from here). Colds usually last about a week and are a virus. Coughs can linger longer after the cold. Blood is very common when we have a cold as the nasal passages are irritated. My sons and I often have blood during colds. So my bf has bronchitis and the nurse at the hospital told us it wasn't contagious but I woke up with a soreish throat and a mild cough but it doesn't sound crackly or anything, I'm 33weeks pregnant and wanted o know if the nurse could have been wrong and if so how bad could it be for my baby?

In fact i am getting worse i have shorten of breath, dizziness, chest tightening, feel like fainting at times and also my feet and hands tend to be cold most of the time. I need to get rid of this bacteria.

Am I being paranoid or should I wash my sheets. I still have a cold sore it's just starting to scab. I feel like I sound paranoid but I don't want my kiddo to get it because I was not careful enough. Thank you, one more question is the virus in your saliva too and not only on your lip and when are you actually contagious...are you contagious before the tingle or is that the start of it being contagious. I'm pregnant and due in a couple weeks and now I'm nevous about it spreading.

Chest pain should never be ignored, and should definitely be looked at by a physician in order to rule out any thing serious. Years ago, I had symptoms much like yours, but I chose to skip the doctors visit and stay home. It turned out that I had bronchitis, then developed pneumonia.

Now I know herpes is extremely contagious, but is it contagious if both parties already have the virus? Like my boyfriend and I both have HSV1, if we kiss and the next day I get a cold sore, is he at risk for getting one as well? Or is that because he already has the virus, his outbreaks are determined by his own body? Or if I use accidentally use a chap stick I once used on a past cold sore, will that cause me an outbreak?

-been coughing up mucus particularly during/after excercise. but when i experience the discomfort in my chest area, usually i can stretch my chest and hear that clicking sound/feeling and the chest discomfort/pain goes away temporarily -i have had bronchitis 2-3 times in the past. -i have gotten quite overweight (5'9, 185lbs) in last 4 years from bad lifestyle, obviously now i just started to change lifestyle, and i feel much better then before.

t smoke or drink as of Nov 2016 I was suffering with what I thought was a very bad cold/flu. Several trips the GP with very little success or sympathy it wasn't until I started coughing up blood and having very bad chest pains (This was in Jan 2017) after a chest x-ray I was advised to go to the hospital as they found a 42mm cavity lesion on my upper right lobe. Upon arriving to the hospital I was sent for an urgent CT Scan so the doctors could get a clearer image.

just cant shake this cold off. My chest really hurts for a couple days do but now Im fine. Hello iam a 23 years old male.... i had a cold sore by my ex girlfriend when i was 17 years old... but just find out it was herpes simplex one.... i know most people is not a big deal... but i been worry i have past it to people in the past the i have make out with......cant sleep or stop thinkin about it... i feel like i never going to get a girlfriend because of this!!!!!!

s called herpes whitlow. The type of exposure you had is zero risk. Even if it was an open cold sore which is a very contagious there was no real world risk. Her cold sore was scabbed over meaning it's healing and not most likely not contagious at that point. You needn't worry herpes whitlow is very rare and you were not at risk.

so about 4 weeks ago I got a cold sore, took my meds, and it never really blistered up and scabbed over. Instead I got flakyness that eventually stopped flaking and just left a red mark. Has this happened to anyone? and how long did it take to go away? The skin is intact and there is no sensations, but I still feel contagious seeing it. Like I have explained in other threads, I have a kiddo who I do not want to pass it on to.
