I have Hashimoto's, but whenever my body swings to hyper mode, I get the acne all over my scalp, face and chest. I have no idea why. Nizoral helps the scalp. I haven't found anything for the face other than washing and using lots of concealer.
it makes me not want to wear any tank tops anymore. I have never had back acne or back pimples or chest pimples, well maybe a weird chest pimple hear or there but never acne. I need help, I want to know what this is because it's ugly & it really bothers me. I thought at first that these goosebumps like things were just sweat bumps but now they're on my back & they're bigger.
In addition I was missing a small patch of hair on my neck. I was given topical steroids for the dryness and creams for my neck. The face condition cleared up but I began getting red bumps around my eyes and mouth sometimes and my scalp is itchy. Round Red spots are on my armpits, chest and groin. I was given creams for all these but they just come back. My face isn't bad but the rest doesn't seem to be getting better. The shampoo they gave me doesn't seem to control it that great.

t want to take the chance because I had some strange looking non bumpy or itchy acne, also this was located on my chest and neck, my chest had very ting black spots, I think its called the abdomin.
The doctor told me it was not scabies and said my dot below my knee was some sore of bacterial fungus.
Perscribed me with cream for the bump, and a different cream for my acne troubles. She said the reason it is not scabies is because there was no itchyness or nothing on my hands.
Hi I seem to be getting wierd acne-like pimples around my lips... tho I am not sure why.
The rest are small.. they seem to pop like acne but one is larger and unusually painful.
Looking up close they DONT look liek clusters (as with herpies) just red areas like acne usualy looks like. One looked almost like a tiny blister tho that popped and had clear stuff come out.

my 17 year-old boy has keloids over his arms, chest and back. The bigger one is about 1cm. other smaller ones about 0.5 cm and 0.2 cm. These keloids are left from acne.

and not been treated correctly? well i have these acne looking bumps covering my chest. i also have them between my shoulder blades along the spine. the bumps are running along my clavicle (color bone if i used the wrong term) what are they? and are the permant? and also if i should either see a dermatologist or just keep the area clean.
I don't believe they are typically related, however, alcoholism can severely throw your system out of alignment (as can withdrawal for a little while) - diet, sleep patterns, social activities - EVERYTHING is going through a change so, I'd try to consider what is causing the acne? Hormonal changes, oily skin, change of season, new skin lotions/creams, etc... and work in reverse order.
I have suffered a similar adult acne story as Sean who posted 7th Sept 1999. I am 25 years old Female. I had typical acne from an early age (11 years old) and received Roacutane (same as Accutane I think) when I was 15 years old. It worked a treat but 9months after I had finished treatment the acne returned. Over the years I have been on 3 treatments of Roacutane for about 18months each with the same result about 9 months later.
I have been having this random cluster of red acne like spots on the upper middle of my back. I'm not sure if it's acne or a rash from my laundry detergent? I've been using benzoyl peroxide acne cream but it's still there. It used to be raised a little like acne but now its all flat.

From the symptoms it can be acne or acne keloidalis nuchae. Treatment includes suppression of the inflammation with antibiotics and steroid gels or intralesional steroid injections. So apply antibiotic cream like Neosporin or Bactroban. If the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and steroids may be needed. So continue using the Minocycline and if the symptoms persist then steroids may have to be added.Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

Has anyone had any bad breakouts while being pregnant?? Normally I get bad breakouts around my period, but haven't. Only odd thing is ive noticed breakouts on my chest area & usually I breakout on my face.
A few weeks ago I first noticed these red marks appearing on my chest and abdomen. I'd hoped maybe it was just acne or a rash but they are now appearing on my back and arms. The original marks on my chest and abdomen are the largest, they almost look like blemishes or stretch marks. The newer ones are smaller and almost look like mesquito bites.
It is not advisable to use topical steroids on your own without a medical guidance as steroids have potent side effects.
Tretamnet includes topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
