Whatever the discharge orders are from the hospitalist MD, will be changed by the MD at the rehab/nursing facility. It is very important that you are involved in what goes on day to day. The 3rd day at the rehab, my mom was unresponsive we pleaded with the nurses that she was dehydrated and needed water in her PEG tube, once she received the water she started to come around. One LPN checked my moms sugar, it was 60. He then proceeded to give my mother a full dose of insulin.

Because I am articulate and high functioning they told me that I was exagerating and did not even initially send me for neuropsych testing. My family doctor does not know where to refer me. I have started rehab at Moss Rehab in Philadelphia and will check in with my physiatrist about referrals, and as wonderful as he had been for rehab, is not knowledgeable about my eye issues.
My thoughts--should I be seen for a second eval by neuroopthamology?
Has anyone on here been to or known anyone that has been to Haven House Rehab Center in Oxford, MS??? I will be going in a couple of days and just curious if anyone has an opinion on it.
Also, to all the women.... I haven't had a period since jan 19. The only other times I have skipped, I was pregnant but I have taken 2 tests and they were both negative. Can withdrawals from lortab cause you to miss a cycle for 2 months? Has anyone else experienced this as a side effect of detox and relapse?
I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.
Watching Heidi Fleiss was really sad.. I saw her on celebrity rehab where she retreated to the desert with a bunch of parrots! It was so sad bc you could see how much pain she was in.
Dennis Rodman was like watching a train about to fly off the tracks.. He kinda had the "im not an addict" mentality even while in rehab!
I KNEW Kim Richards was on pills and stuff... You could just tell. She went to rehab and looks like she's doing GREAT now!!

After my husband was out of the inpatient rehab center he was sent to a HealthSouth Out Patient center. They were wonderful. They worked with my husband three days a week (speech, occupational and physical) and he has improved considerably. The outpatient therapy lasted about 2 months and now my husband is basically doing everything himself. Only thing I have to do is remind him to take his pills.
She finally admitted that she was hooked and needed help. We got her into a rehab center to hopefully get off them, so we can save our marriage. It is just as hard on me with her not being here becasue she is my best friend and we had our routine of drinking coffee and talking about anything that we want, and it was so depressing to wake up and not see my best friend laying next to me. I was wondering what it is like in rehab.
