Chantix and hydrocodone

Common Questions and Answers about Chantix and hydrocodone

chantix

So considering Chantix and want to know if anyone has used it and found it works without effecting their epilepsy or their epilepsy medication(s).
I'm working with conservative treatment because I don't think surgery would be good for my case. I have been prescribed Hydrocodone (Lortabs) and have used them at night when the pain gets bad. I also have sciatica, which is dulling my quality of life, at least for the time being. So I've noticed that the medicine has changed my mood and I get irritable on the off hours where I do not take it, so I know I need to cut back and stop.
Hope you got the Gasoline cleaned up. As I said, those carbon bases fumes as from gas, or lacquer, varnish etc. are really rough on not just your live to detoxify, but their hard on the lungs. Having breathed the lacquer for all those years and being the smoker I am it's a wonder I'm not dead from it. My grandfather smoked all his life (non filters) and lived to be 91. His sister smoked also and lived to 96. My mother (still living and 83) still smokes.
i never coughed and should of cause pills made me smoke more...now, coughing like crazy.., and i am on chantix and smoking hardly anything...Could the pills really mask all of that...Even a cough and sore throat??
Prior to the onset of the the headaches, I was taking Hydrocodone (10/500) a couple of times a week for my neck, Chantix and Allie. A few weeks after the headaches started, I started taking Tylenol, Advil and Excederine to try and get rid of the headaches to no advail. All of these were listed on the paper that the neurologist's office mailed to me to fill out. They asked for all medications that I was taking at the time.
so far this evening is much better than last night. just went to pharma and got my chantix...i'll be starting that tomorrow.

Can my mind really relapse that fast? It took months for my brain to reset and get my energy back and get past the depression. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have not picked up the info as yet but when I called they said there were no toxic levels in his system. They had found an empty hydrocodone bottle next to his bed and thought he may have committed suicide but I am sure his room mates just took the pills. Yes I am not sure how all these were filled and not flagged. The list is what I pulled frome Walgreens. I do not think they were doing there job. On May 6th he had 17 perscriptions filled. then on May 28 he had nine of them refilled.
I am currently quitting smoking on Chantix (which makes quitting a BREEZE) and I tell everyone that one of the side effects of Chantix is hot flashes and Chills. So far, they have bought it. I would LOVE the taper method, but how do I go about doing it? I know I have the willpower...I'm not chasing a high, just trying to get rid of the dependence I have so that I stop sweating. This is really the ONLY thing that is keeping me from quitting completly.
Hi Friends, Welcome! Please make yourself at home ... snuggle down by the fire and hang on. It's a bumpy ride.
Hi Friends! Welcome all Tramadol warriors. We're all very glad to see you. Please come in and share.
times were when I couldn't get it rx'd to me so I'd use more commonly prescribed (and easy to find) Opiates -- codeine, oxycodone, Hydrocodone, you name it -- in combination with VALIUM and XANAX! I guess this was the closest I could get to the combo in Fioricet (that I LOVE!!!) before I found a dr about 4 years ago who rx'd Fioricet w/ Codeine to me in mass quantities!

I'm addicted to cigarettes for forty years and have ruined my health over it, this will be my seventh try, and the difference is that this time I'm trying Chantix and I have to quit whether it works or not. I have quit many substances including herion and this is by FAR the worst for me psychologically & physically. I will join the smoking forum too but think this one will be helpful also. Maybe together we can make this hell that is addiction a thing of our pasts.
I have to be careful though because I've been in a ton of pain lately and I've taken darvocet more regularly than I'd like and I'm worried that I could end up with another addiction. I've been speaking with my therapist about it and right now he's not concerned, but he's helping keep an eye on me. ;) Congrats everyone!!!!
This includes drugs such as tramadol (Ultracet and Ultram) codeine (Tylenol #3, #4), Darvocet, Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Norco, Lortab and derivatives), Oxycodone (Endocet, Percocet, Oxycontin), Morphine, Demerol. Fentanyl, and Dilaudud. There are many other opiates not listed, so if you don’t see it listed, you can still use these suggestions if it’s an opiate based addiction. None of these apply to benzodiazepine based addictions. These addictions should never be dealt with by going cold turkey.
More recently, I decided to try poppy tea. Not bad, when you can't acquire hydrocodone and want to avoid the withdrawals. That is, until your dear wife says, honey, you look a a bit grayish, do you feel ok? Well, no... I better get away from this stuff... but I would like to avoid withdrawals. In steps Mr. TRAMADOL.. I'm a safe and easy way to come clean with no ill effects. Why heck, I'm not even a controlled substance. You can have me in only two days if you order online.
I have had chronic bacterial infections in my sinuses, tonsels and throat for the past two months and have been on many rounds of antibiotics, my infections are gone but I was left with a strong deep cough and now phlegm and swelling in my throat. No doctors have been able to tell me what it could be, my ear nose throat specialist said it was most likely acid reflux disease, but I don't buy that.
