Avatar f tn I notice there is a white head on the tip as well. really dont know what is it.. I have been taking antibiotics (a week) and cetirizine (one month) and isotrotinoin (few months time) for a while. That is strange as I assume cetirizine should help anti-allergy as doctor prescribed to me when I had other allergy on my skin - it occurs when my skin have pressure on it and it goes red and itchy, when you scatch it, it swells a big piece.
463595 tn?1333997222 Hi does anybody know hot to treat it it started 2 weaks ago after i visited house of my friend that has a dog, started on a neck bt know is oeverywhere and its ichy.
Avatar m tn I was outside playing soccer and basketball with my cousins. When I came in I felt really itchy all over so I began scratching, but not hard or majorly. A few days passed, and it has gotten worse. I am not sure what it is. I believe it may be a allergic reaction to something or moquito bites. But I do not think it is mosquito bites anymore because it has been five days. I used Hydrocortisone Cream USP 2.5% and a All Day Allergy pill 10 mg. The pill seems to be helping as I feel better.
Avatar f tn I'm going insane with constant tiny hive like spots appearing on my back, around the top, shoulder blade area. They're like tiny hives that just appear but as it's so hard to reach that area I have to carry around a back scratcher with me to get to the area. I've tried eczema and acne treatment to no avail... Has anyone any ideas on this?
Avatar n tn I began having a severe problem with hives recently. Am currently taking Cetirizine, Benadryl, Hydroxylene and am doing a tapering (18 day) prednisone treatment. I am wondering what is causing the dark circles under my eyes. I am getting enough sleep. Is it the allergy or one of the meds?
Avatar f tn About three days ago I felt like I was coming down with the flu. My glands became swollen and I got a fever with chills and the next day hives started forming. First on my back them chest, now my legs. Three years ago I had every blood test known and they could not figure it out. I have not changed any medications except taking excederin and am 60 days clean of opiates. Any suggestions on what might be? Thank you for your time.
Avatar n tn The most commonly used oral treatments are antihistaminics (such as cetirizine, loratidine, benadryl available over the counter). The condition will most likely resolve after a few hours of taking these medication. However, if the symptoms persist or increase in frequency or intensity or you experience any difficulty in breathing or sweating etc, you should immediately consult a doctor. Do write in if you need any other information.
Avatar n tn You should try moisturizing lotions and some over-the-counter antihistaminics like cetirizine or loratidine. Anti-itch creams such as diphenhydramine (benadryl) may provide relief. If a rash still bothers you, go see your doctor. Take care.
Avatar m tn Do you have any other known allergies, or health issues?
476246 tn?1418870914 Can someone please share with me, which benadryl is used for the riba rash/itch while on tx. In Denmark we have two kinds. The one taken 1 x per day and it has a 24 hr effect.
Avatar f tn t have alot of money and my ins is not the best. I have been on Zytec and Benadryl what seems like forever. They help control the problem but does not cure it. Can anyone help me?
Avatar n tn I think it is an allergic reaction to something because if I take a Benadryl it seems to ease off. I shower everyday and scrub extra good. Hygene is not an issue. I am at my ropes end here. Please help if you have any knowledge to this problem.
Avatar f tn It can be due to drug allergy reaction to Cymbalta. You need to take antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin. Longer-acting antihistamines are available by prescription. They cause less drowsiness and can work just as well. These medications include fexofenadine and cetirizine. But they should always be taken under medical supervision. Moreover you may try calamine lotion on the rash.
Avatar n tn The most commonly used oral treatments are over the counter antihistaminics (such as cetirizine, loratidine, benadryl available over the counter). The rash should however not be scratched or tampered in any way as this may lead to secondary complications such as infections. However, if the symptoms persist or increase in frequency or intensity or your daughter experiences any difficulty in breathing or sweating etc, you should immediately consult a doctor.
Avatar n tn Under my left eye it is slightly red and puffy with itching. I dont have any blisters or anything like that but I believe it may be just a mild reaction from the leaf. Am looking for advice on what this could be. It didnt really spread anywhere else but now my inner left thigh is starting to itch and chafe where it rubs against my scrotum.

Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to forum. Horsefly is known to cause two types of reactions namely Local reactions and Systemic reactions. They are capable of inducing allergic reactions and/or transmitting infectious diseases. The swelling suggest local reaction to the Flies bite. Reduction of local edema may be induced with cooling (ice or cold pack). Topical lotions such as calamine decreases pain and pruritus.
Avatar n tn I agree with all the PP's (previous posters)...the Benadryl at night is a big help for breakthru anthistimine properties which don't always last the full 24hrs. See if your Dr agrees, too ? Have they tried Singulair for seasonal allergies? The sometimes works well, too.
Avatar n tn After recovering from a serious upper respiratory infection (Amox with Augmentin prescribed), I broke out in a terribly itchy rash. At first it appeared to be like scabies, so was treated for that. Then, at times it was hive like (even the scratches raised up like hives). It is not everywhere, underarms, breasts, naval, lower abdomen, back. chest, shoulders, wrists, hands. There are many small bumps mixed with bigger hive like bumps. Very, very itchy. Calamine helps.
Avatar f tn Last wek I got red and itching eyes, since then my entire face has become red, itchy and burning with some swelling. My neck now have become red and blotchy and is starting to itch. Avatar f tn t itch or have any other symptom, but now as it spreads it has an intense itch and there is a buring degree with it. I have not been in contact with anything other than sunblock and as soon as I noticed the first rash, I took a shower in baby soap to try to get anything off of me. The rash is bright red, almost like a sunburn.
Avatar f tn i have looked at my make up cause i was reading that it maybe caused by makeup with silicon in it. i would just like to know what it is if you could help before i go to the doctor over it. thank you please let me know soon.
Avatar n tn I got these rashes that look like a bug bites on my thigh Sunday night when I got home from work. It really itched a lot until I took some benadrily and it helped to stop the itching. When I woke up Monday morning and they were still there, there are 4 of them on the right side of my thigh and one big one on the left, all of them just above my knee. They are not itching that bad anymore but it is Monday night and I would figure if they were bug bites that they would be gone by know.

Avatar f tn You can take non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine(zyrtec) or Loratadine(Claritin) to get symptom relief. Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine(benadryl) or Hydroxyzine are used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms. You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.
