Avatar f tn My allergist from Cleveland clinic here in Coral Spring FL prescribe me CETIRIZINE 10MG 3 tablets a day for a month and then bring it down to 2 a day. I began with the treatment on March 2021 as today July 27/2021 I can tell you that I'm feeling 85% better before was every single day going to hell, today I'm not completely free, but feel much much better. Try it. CETIRIZINE is the same as ZYRTEC, but less expensive if a Dr. prescribed it . Good luck.
Avatar f tn thanks ladies for this, yes my doc knows of pregnancy, infact, he did my IVF, have been trying for 5 years, the reason i got scared was because i read from the FDA that cetirizine is a category B and tht means they cant assure 100% saftey, and am just 2 weeks in pregnancy, will be having ultrasound on the 3rd nov. babywanted556 - does ur intching increase after a shower? mine does, its like a reaction after chloroquine. pinches here and there, did u concieve thru ivf?
Avatar n tn It was not shown to be teratogenic in animal studies, but adequate studies have not been conducted in pregnant women. The official recommendation is that it be used during pregnancy, only if clearly needed. And, this caution is very similar to that regarding the whole class of antihistamines. Also, cetirizine does enter breast milk and it is not recommended during lactation.
Avatar n tn Therefore, medicines like cetirizine may be needed indefinitely if symptoms are bad enough. Cetirizine is generally very well tolerated. You can look online for the list of possible side effects.
Avatar f tn Or known as Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), known in United Kingdom as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP),[1] is a chronic hives-like rash that strikes some women during pregnancy. Although extremely annoying for its sufferers (because of the itch), it presents no long-term risk for either the mother or unborn child. PUPPP frequently begins on the stomach and spreads to the legs, feet, arms, chest, and neck.

Avatar f tn I see a ton of pregnant women working at maternity stores. I think it's very smart to have women with child working in places like that. I also have seen women at drug stores, Babies R Us, or maybe another daycare?
Avatar f tn I live in Tennessee. My job post is actually a sitting down position except for rounds I have to make every hour... Outside. I thought about working at a call center, think I'll look into that. I am also concerned about job security switching jobs but I will likely keep my current job but I WILL need a part time one also so that I'm not living check to check. Thanks for all the suggestions!
1339395 tn?1317263821 either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a fetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the first trimester(and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters)". There are a few that get plain B's and the only A grade isn't available in the US.
Avatar f tn I have been taking antibiotics (a week) and cetirizine (one month) and isotrotinoin (few months time) for a while. That is strange as I assume cetirizine should help anti-allergy as doctor prescribed to me when I had other allergy on my skin - it occurs when my skin have pressure on it and it goes red and itchy, when you scatch it, it swells a big piece. But this seems to stop after Im on cetirizine - however, other skin allergy comes up! So annoying!
Avatar f tn When you go to medical school you learn that and that you shouldnt treat pregnant women any difrent then non. Yea things are more dificult but we asked for it. We need to do things ourself we should be able to do anything we could before. Speacil treatment is unneeded. If you cant stand in line that is your problem and not everyone elses you need to figure out ways around it.
Avatar m tn I found that the All Day Allergy pill 10 mg is working because it is Cetirizine and it works for 24 hours, but I also found at my home that we have Zyrtec also. But it is Cetirizine HCL 10 mg. What is the difference?
Avatar n tn Many thanks for your supportive comments. I have tried Cetirizine, however it does not stop the itching. Anything else that you could think would help?
Avatar n tn I just looked at several websites about this and only found 2 answers. One, there IS a cialis made for women. Two, women should not take cialis for men. No reason was given. Sorry that's all I have for you.
