zyrtec

Avatar f tn , without any luck. Finally a close friend who is a Vascular Surgeon told me to try taking both Zyrtec (10mg) and Pepcid (50 - 100 mg) at least an hour prior to exercise. It has worked great for me! These are both OTC drugs. Hope this helps someone!
Avatar f tn I get hives and I take something that is similar to zyrtec for it. Cetirizine 10mg given to me by my VA (veteran affairs) doctor. It's safe. Get well soon. I know the feeling and it *****.

Avatar m tn Along with steam inhalation, you can take nonsedating antihistamines like cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratadine (Claritin). Moreover decongestants and topical decongestants may help in reducing congestion of the nose. You can use eucalyptus oil or products containing menthol with steam inhalation. This should help. Pls visit your physician if the condition persists for a longer period. Keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Went to a doctor and was priscribed over the counterver Zyrtec/Cetirizine for the hives. Took them and immediately the hives vanished. Everything was going fine until the hives started to come back more and mroe regularly to the point I had to start taking the Zyrtec everyday to control them.
1331658 tn?1275341605 How much Zyrtec can I take? I am on 10mg of zyrtec a day and 20mg or Loratadine a day as well. I'm 29yrs old, the reason why I want to take more is, 5yrs ago I was in a car accident and got TBI- Traumatic Brain Injury, The part of my brain that sends out signals got damaged. My hip strength was at like 10% on one side and 15% or normal on the other side. Well, I had a plugged nose and I asked my doc for something and he gave me Loratadine to help me with my nose.

Avatar m tn I called and asked and she just said to also take phenlyeprine (sudaphed PE) and guaifenesin (Mucinex). These help quite a bit, but they make me jittery and queasy, I have to pee really often, and I'm still sleepy from the other stuff, and I still have some congestion and sore throat. So what do I do now? Did I just get really horrible genetics and there's nothing I can do?
Avatar n tn Sometimes double conventional doses of these non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine(zyrtec), Loratadine(Claritin) and Fexofenadine may be needed to get symptom relief.Apply mild corticosteroid cream like dermacort on the rash.It should help. If the symptoms still persist then pls contact your doctor as oral steroids may be needed. If you have any respiratory difficulty, palpitation or wheezing along with, then pls contact ER immediately. It could be anaphylaxis.
Avatar f tn i started taking zyrtec about 6 months ago for post nasal drip and watery eyes. i took it almost every day and felt much better. i figured i would stop and see if my allergies were better. bad idea. after 48 hour without zyrtec i start to itch everywhere. it starts between my fingers and wrists and feet and ankles and ends up everywhere. i take a pill and it goes away. i have tried to stop many times but the itching is just too bad.
Avatar f tn I"m taking CETIRIZINE(Zyrtec) daily and don't feel itching any more. If I try to skip just one day, it comes back. Doctor said I need it unitl give birth and will do more tests to find out or it could go away itself, no other choice. I have to live with it.
Avatar n tn So for some background, on Monday, I layed out to get some sun and accidently fell asleep, and ended up being outside for about 2 hours. I got sunburnt on my chest and stomach, and nowhere else. I normally tan, and my skin doesn't peel when I get burnt. That night, I was fine. On Tuesday, the next night, I went to sleep and the next morning I had what I think were hives on my back and sides.
Avatar m tn I usually spot a couple of small bumps which then spread all over my legs and turn into hives. Around my knees the hives are clustered and raised and flat. And on my thighs my skin becomes discolored and there are white splotches everywhere with a hive in the middle. I'll usually take a benadryl and it'll go away, but I'm sick of taking it. And it's odd because the only time I start breaking out is when i wake up.
Avatar n tn Hence, Systemic antihistamines (injection is preferred) and antipruritics such as hydroxyzine or cetirizine against prescription may be helpful. Even addition of corticosteroids has possible benefits. I suggest you to consult dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn This year, after spending the night at a room full of dust and -without my knowledge- cat hair, I went to the hospital because I found it hard to breathe for more than 16 hours (not dying for air but still very tormenting), Zyrtec not working and Symbicort hardly helping. They gave me oxygen and monitored me till the morning of the next day (I stayed the night).
