Avatar f tn My allergist from Cleveland clinic here in Coral Spring FL prescribe me CETIRIZINE 10MG 3 tablets a day for a month and then bring it down to 2 a day. I began with the treatment on March 2021 as today July 27/2021 I can tell you that I'm feeling 85% better before was every single day going to hell, today I'm not completely free, but feel much much better. Try it. CETIRIZINE is the same as ZYRTEC, but less expensive if a Dr. prescribed it . Good luck.
Avatar f tn I got itching when I just got 4 weeks pg, and my doc prescribed CETIRIZINE as well. My boy is now 15 month old, happy and healthy and I'm still taking it daily other wise I could not stand for the horrible itching.
Avatar m tn I have a friend who years ago had several colonoscopies without sedation, and while they got thru it, it was unpleasant and something they do not wish to repeat. The exact opposite of those who get unpleasant side effects from Versed! So, I suppose they can cut off your arm without sedation, but you should at least get good and drunk before you go in! Ha! Just kidding.
Avatar f tn I get hives and I take something that is similar to zyrtec for it. Cetirizine 10mg given to me by my VA (veteran affairs) doctor. It's safe. Get well soon. I know the feeling and it *****.
Avatar m tn If you need to have this procedure again, I would highly recommend against general anesthesia (totally asleep). This has a ton more risks then sedation and the entire procedure becomes more complicated. And when you wake up, your sore throat will be much worse because you will have the endoscope as well as a breathing tube down your throat. If you need this procedure again, I would recommend 2 things.
Avatar f tn Many people have problems with twilight sedation, and the drug Versed has come up a lot as being the culprit. Therefore, you should ask the doctor to skip the Versed and instead use extra of the opiate type drug. You can find stuff online about Versed and print it out, in case you have to convince the doc of this. You should not have any problem whatsoever with opiates, they will make you feel wonderful, and there are no scary side effects.
Avatar f tn I notice there is a white head on the tip as well. really dont know what is it.. I have been taking antibiotics (a week) and cetirizine (one month) and isotrotinoin (few months time) for a while. That is strange as I assume cetirizine should help anti-allergy as doctor prescribed to me when I had other allergy on my skin - it occurs when my skin have pressure on it and it goes red and itchy, when you scatch it, it swells a big piece.
Avatar n tn They were Able to rule out that he is not having seizures (although some of the nurses think he sometimes does) and said that they are myoclonic jerks. He is able to be on a low sedation now and he’ll be fine but as soon as they come off the sedation he begins to jerk again so they have to raise it up high to control it then they can come back down. Today is the 14th day in the icu. The neurologist comes every morning and he has since made progress with responding to pain.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy may be complicated by new-onset or preexistent allergic disease, including rhinitis, anaphylaxis, urticaria and angioedema, and atopic dermatitis. Pregnancy and asthma is extensively studied. Of the currently available preparations, chlorpheniramine has been recommended as the first generation antihistamine of choice for use during pregnancy. Avatar m tn I found that the All Day Allergy pill 10 mg is working because it is Cetirizine and it works for 24 hours, but I also found at my home that we have Zyrtec also. But it is Cetirizine HCL 10 mg. What is the difference?
Avatar n tn It would be a good idea to let the doctor and attending nurses know of your concern so they can be alert for any possible problems. And have a family member sit with you as long as you are still under the effects of the sedation. Your title says you have sleep apnea - some take their cpap machine to the hospital but usually it is not needed. You'll only be under a short period of time, and even then it's not totally under. As long as everyone knows, you should be fine.
11246063 tn?1420951832 Two days that I'm itching on my back, arms and legs. No rashes though. I took cetirizine thinking I'm having allergies but the itch did not lessen a bit. What do you think it is?
1677180 tn?1304453354 I'm not sure about the sedation methods commonly used in various states. I can tell you, though, that for my own cataract surgery here in Illinois I was given a dose of Valium (in pill form) along with the usual numbing eye drops. I didn't think I needed the Valium, and as it turmed out I was awake and quite alert during the surgery (Valium notwithstanding). However, my eye surgeon told me that the surgery center was pretty insistent on using Valium sedation.
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm pregnant and I don't have an appointmet with my doctor for two weeks. I had been taking singulair and zyrtec but I stopped until I can clear it with my doctor. Are these medicines safe and if not is there a safe one out there?
Avatar m tn Last March 2014 I developed bronchitis and went in to see my PCP, and she gave me a breathing test, and said my asthma developed into COPD. She prescribed Advair 250/50, and gave me a script for an Epi Pen as a precaution due to having become being highly allergic to insect stings. She suggested I see a Pulmonologist which I did. My Pulmonologist is very well known and highly respected in the Medical Community.
Avatar n tn If you are highly considering having a child someday, I suggest you tell this to your doctor since one of the side effects of chemotherapy is infertility. Other side effects include hair loss, body weakness, nausea and vomiting, and allergic reaction. These are manageable with supportive measures. Generalized itching is one of the symptoms of lymphoma. This can be managed with intake of antihistamine like Cetirizine. Hope this helps. God bless you always.
