Avatar f tn My allergist from Cleveland clinic here in Coral Spring FL prescribe me CETIRIZINE 10MG 3 tablets a day for a month and then bring it down to 2 a day. I began with the treatment on March 2021 as today July 27/2021 I can tell you that I'm feeling 85% better before was every single day going to hell, today I'm not completely free, but feel much much better. Try it. CETIRIZINE is the same as ZYRTEC, but less expensive if a Dr. prescribed it . Good luck.

Avatar f tn I notice there is a white head on the tip as well. really dont know what is it.. I have been taking antibiotics (a week) and cetirizine (one month) and isotrotinoin (few months time) for a while. That is strange as I assume cetirizine should help anti-allergy as doctor prescribed to me when I had other allergy on my skin - it occurs when my skin have pressure on it and it goes red and itchy, when you scatch it, it swells a big piece.
Avatar n tn Hello, I just had a question in regards to pregnancy and a small dose of codeine. Due to pelvic pain I have daily taken 2 tylenol #1 in the morning and 2 at night. The tablet is 300mg acetaminophen with 8 mg of codeine. Total codeine being 32mg in one day. I've read all this stuff about baby withdrawing and dependancy issues and i know reading stuff on the internet is not the greatest idea but wanted to get feedback from a doctor if possible and greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy may be complicated by new-onset or preexistent allergic disease, including rhinitis, anaphylaxis, urticaria and angioedema, and atopic dermatitis. Pregnancy and asthma is extensively studied. Of the currently available preparations, chlorpheniramine has been recommended as the first generation antihistamine of choice for use during pregnancy. Based on the information available, loratadine or cetirizine may be considered the second generation antihistamines of choice.

801188 tn?1241647626 according to the source of all knowledge wikipedia, benadryl is different in the UK to US: "In the U.S. Benadryl products contain the 1st generation antihistamine Diphenhydramine.....may also produce anticholinergic effects, antiemetic effects, and SIGNIFICANT SEDATIVE side effects." "In the United Kingdom Benadryl products contain either the 2nd generation antihistamine acrivastine (sold as Benadryl Allergy Relief) or the antihistamine cetirizine" Bummer.
5133446 tn?1364088940 I stopped taking the Sustained Released DHC and just take the normal Codeine and I feel back to normal and I was able to go out, clean the house and enjoy my weekend like a normal person but as soon as I tell CADS and the Doctor what I have done, they will turn their backs on me like he has already threatened if I don’t take the Suboxone or Methadone and I don’t think it’s fair! This is my life they are messing with and they don’t seem to care.
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm pregnant and I don't have an appointmet with my doctor for two weeks. I had been taking singulair and zyrtec but I stopped until I can clear it with my doctor. Are these medicines safe and if not is there a safe one out there?

Avatar n tn If you are highly considering having a child someday, I suggest you tell this to your doctor since one of the side effects of chemotherapy is infertility. Other side effects include hair loss, body weakness, nausea and vomiting, and allergic reaction. These are manageable with supportive measures. Generalized itching is one of the symptoms of lymphoma. This can be managed with intake of antihistamine like Cetirizine. Hope this helps. God bless you always.
Avatar n tn Double conventional doses of these non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine, Loratadine, Acrivastine and Fexofenadine may be needed to get symptom relief. Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine or Hydroxyzine are used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms. You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.

Avatar f tn Did they disappear? If she continues to have them, I'd consider doing allergy testing on her to see what caused them. Benadryl works for a lot of people. It agitates me/activates me so I can't take it but it works pretty well for hives.
Avatar f tn Sorry to confuse - I can take the co-codamol which is 8mg of codeine phosphate and 500mg of paracetamol (side effects managable) but the 30mg of codeine phosphate with 500mg of paracetamol causes bad side effects, similarly 30mg of straight codeine phosphate causes bad side effects. Added complication is that I also need to be able to function well enough to drive and work.
