My neuro had me on 2000 mg cellcept daily after we stopped the IV steroids, about 5 month ago I started having deep chest pain shoutness of breath and my collar bone was like getting larger my neuro endo and md said anxiety and put me on meds for depression and stress....I decided to find a different neuro because neuro issues getting worse legs weaker tremors and jerks...the first think she said is cancer can make neruo issues worse. she sched a cat scan and I have a lesion in my right lung.

I was diagnosed by open lung bx in 2001, I suffered ans was treated with plaquenil and methotrexate, after a while on steroids. seemed to get better, then the last year treated with a lot of respiratory problems, pneumonia and different types of flu. I am worried I feel worse than before, my labs show another onset after all this time. But also with raised lft's, and indicators do heart issues, my question is does cellcept work as well? does morbidity go up the second time around?

I'm a patient with autoimmune hepatitis type II, and my doctor has just perscribed cellcept in an attempt to reduce or stop use of prednizone. It is really important to me to try and have a child, but I'm afraid if I start cellcept that I shouldn't get pregnant. I know cellcept is a class D drug, and discussed my concern with my doctor.

After a upper respiratory infection last month I have been having someone more weaknesses and even a slight breathing problem at times, so he wants to put me on Cellcept. The problem is Cellcept can cause Lymphoma and other side effects and infection risk,. I want to get off Prednisone due to weight gain and creeping up hypertension and the Mestinin digestive problems are a real pain.

Anyone on cellcept having back pain? I've been having back pain for a couple of weeks now, wake up earlier and earlier in the morning with my back aching and when I move it I get these stabbing pains. It all goes away when I get up, and I've managed to sleep a bit in the morning in a half-seated position, so it's really related to lying down. I just read someplace that cellcept can cause back pain, but I haven't been able to find any info on what kind of pain. Could this be it?

While on prednisone you are immunosuppressed which might impede the production of protective or diagnostic hepatitis antibodies. how about medications such cellcept or azathioprine as steroid-sparing agents?

my doctors have reduced my cellcept in half. 1000 mg 2x day to 500 mg 2x day. they said my symptoms are common and reducing the cellcept should help. any comment?

Okay hears the deal I was put on prednison when I was 17yrs old along with imuran, now i know the effects of prednison obviouly, it being a steroid there usually are some weight gain and moon face etc as common side effects. Now I'm 19yrs old and they have me on cellcept. I have always been extremely active even to due to my fatigue but I cannot loose a pound, I will work out 24-7 and change my diets often to see if anything changes and...nothing.

when you say adding some cellcept might be a good idea,does that include trying to lower my prograf some?

In the CT scan she recently had, it showed how crowded her abdomen is due to the liver size. It is pushing her diaphragm up into her chest and right lung. She also has fluid around her right lung. So you think the liver will shrink to fit her body then?

i think the Dr wants to start, cellcept and eliminate diazapam nd steroids....after having such relief finally,after so long.. Should the transplant team/doctor monitor liver transplant patients taking cellcept post liver transplant over time? Is there a significant threat of cellcept causing lymphoma?

s Hospital yesterday and was told by the doctor that I have Primary Progressive MS. She gave me 3 prescriptions - one for Cellcept to slow the progress, one for PT and the third for a scooter. That last one got me teary. I thought I was years away from that but now see that it is for the best. It will give me what I need to go out more. Also had to get the H1N1 vaccine and the pneumonia vaccine because she said Cellcept suppresses the immune system. Not sure there's much more to say.

I had to reread your message - it appears you are saying that the VA doctors are listening to you ? Huh? This is very good news. The 1.5T closed MRI should give them a pretty good look at what is going on if it was done to the MS protocol. Ufrustrated2 had his breakthrough with the VA recently, too.
