Cellcept blood levels

Common Questions and Answers about Cellcept blood levels

cellcept

Avatar n tn I was wondering if any of you had had the opportunity to have your blood levels of vitamin d tested, and if so how many of you were deficient? I ask because I sort of took myself off the cellcept I was on and only continued with 5 mg of prednisone for almost a year. Of course I progressively felt worse until I went back to my primary and asked for a refferal to a different GI doc.
Avatar f tn liver enzymes shoot up, her doctor increases dosage, this is followed by decrease in enzyme levels in next monthly blood test, then doctor slowly decreases dosage, this is always followed by increase in liver enzyme level, and so on. This has been going on for an year now I am thinking if increased dose reduces enzyme level, then why decrease the dosage at all. Is it only fear of side-effect?
Avatar f tn All other results including Blood, LFT, Creatine etc show normal. Doctor reduced her CellCept to 500 mg (from 1000mg) and increased PanGraaf to 5 mg (from 4mg) and Wysolone (steroid) to 12.5mg (from 15 mg). One week later she had the tests done again. The test result shows that her TLC has not moved an inch and is still at 2.8. My father is like panicked (he has always been a bit nervous personality anyway).
Avatar m tn If so, then the treatment is optimizing doses and levels of cellcept and prograf and trying to minimize the use of parenteral corticosteroids.
1135761 tn?1260557094 No fever or nausea. Am I just complaining or should I take more seriously. I had blood drawn today. My next appointment with my transplant team is june 15.
Avatar m tn I believe that the benefits pf statins outweigh the risks and have altered my eating lifestyle so to nearly exclude carbohydrates. This has enabled me to continue statin regime while keeping my fasting blood glucose levels at acceptaptable unmedicated levels. My wife on the other hand continues to take Metformin while on the statin drug.
Avatar n tn when you say adding some cellcept might be a good idea, does that include trying to lower my prograf some?
686869 tn?1227199935 When the kidneys malfunction, problems frequently encountered are abnormal fluid levels in the body, deranged acid levels, abnormal levels of potassium, calcium, phosphate, hematuria (blood in the urine) and (in the longer term) anemia. Long-term kidney problems have significant repercussions on other diseases, such as cardiovascular disease.
Avatar n tn I'm a patient with autoimmune hepatitis type II, and my doctor has just perscribed cellcept in an attempt to reduce or stop use of prednizone. It is really important to me to try and have a child, but I'm afraid if I start cellcept that I shouldn't get pregnant. I know cellcept is a class D drug, and discussed my concern with my doctor.
Avatar n tn I had a breakthrough with Avonex so my dr. recommended adding cellcept to the avonex shots. If so can you tell me how you have done with cellcept. Thanks!!!!
Avatar f tn that affected my legs so my Dr. just prescribed Cellcept. I filled the prescription yesterday and was scared to death after reading the literature on it. What is PPMS? I will be interested in seeing if anyone has used this medication too. Sunnyb.
778275 tn?1326913623 After a upper respiratory infection last month I have been having someone more weaknesses and even a slight breathing problem at times, so he wants to put me on Cellcept. The problem is Cellcept can cause Lymphoma and other side effects and infection risk,. I want to get off Prednisone due to weight gain and creeping up hypertension and the Mestinin digestive problems are a real pain.
Avatar f tn Anyone on cellcept having back pain? I've been having back pain for a couple of weeks now, wake up earlier and earlier in the morning with my back aching and when I move it I get these stabbing pains. It all goes away when I get up, and I've managed to sleep a bit in the morning in a half-seated position, so it's really related to lying down. I just read someplace that cellcept can cause back pain, but I haven't been able to find any info on what kind of pain. Could this be it?
Avatar m tn It is possible that immuno-suppresants, such as cellcept could lower IgE levels (along with the rest of your immune system) which could reduce the effect that eczema has on your body.
Avatar f tn I was just back in to see the doctor for another fleurosine test and it found that my blood vessels have started to bleed out. It has been suggested by the doctor that inflammation of the blood vessels in the eyes would also assume inflammation in the brain. However, the MRI was clear. I have been put on Cellcept and Prednisone. They are going to wein me off of the Prednisone once I am up to the highest dosage of Cellcept which is 2000mg a day.
Avatar f tn Okay hears the deal I was put on prednison when I was 17yrs old along with imuran, now i know the effects of prednison obviouly, it being a steroid there usually are some weight gain and moon face etc as common side effects. Now I'm 19yrs old and they have me on cellcept. I have always been extremely active even to due to my fatigue but I cannot loose a pound, I will work out 24-7 and change my diets often to see if anything changes and...nothing.
Avatar f tn Anyway, wish I had advice for you but I would say for him to stay in close contact w/his Dr. The meds are so important. Make sure he has regular blood work as well. The blood work and the ultra sound will tell you if the liver is in any sort of trouble...Does your insurance pay for the cellcept? I am on that as well and I know it is very expensive, but it is very important!! I hope your husband was very honest w/his Dr. and I'm sure his Dr. knows what to look for...Good Luck!
Avatar f tn His condition has been unchanged for 3 weeks. I called and asked what his ammonia levels were last week. The nurse gave me the run around and said they were within normal limits. Without the limits in fornt of me I don't know what they are. My husband went to Utah 2 days after I called, and all of a sudden they were checking ammonia levels and trating him with Lactolose, which I know is the appropriate Tx.
Avatar f tn I take Cellcept for 2 and a half year. How long will last taking of this medicine because my hair and stomack can't stand it any more?
Avatar f tn I don't believe that OH is treating with a PI. The PIs can increase plasma levels of tacrolimus and cyclosporine very significantly - to toxic levels. There's a lot of research regarding dosing that needs to be done before these drugs will be used in the transplant population.
Avatar n tn i think the Dr wants to start, cellcept and eliminate diazapam nd steroids....after having such relief finally, after so long.. I am afraid. Also of the side effects of cellcept and having massive pain returned. But which side effects are going to be worse? Preds or cellcept. I will research and let you know,. There are other drugs, but with heart and clogged arteries, i am not a candidate... Hang in there. Advil helps. Tons of it, Percocet if you can find a Dr who will write it,.....
