bad taste in mouth, aches and pains with muscles and joints, diarrhea, and headache. No fever or nausea. Am I just complaining or should I take more seriously. I had blood drawn today. My next appointment with my transplant team is june 15.

After 6 months she was totally weened off of Prednisone and will continue Cellcept until her one year mark and get another Renal Biopsy done in April.....I would love to know about more parents that have had children that gave suffered with this horrible virus that has left my daughter scarred physically and emotionally for life. I do not wish this on any innocent child!

I am considering just staying on Prednizone for a little while longer and getting pregnant, and then going on cellcept. I have been on cellcept one week tomorrow, and think it would not be too late to discontinue (after talking to my doctor again) since I am also still on 40mg of prednizone every day. Do you have any opinions about cellcept and pregnancy?

i think the Dr wants to start, cellcept and eliminate diazapam nd steroids....after having such relief finally,after so long.. I am afraid.Also of the side effects of cellcept and having massive pain returned. But which side effects are going to be worse? Preds or cellcept. I will research and let you know,. There are other drugs, but with heart and clogged arteries, i am not a candidate... Hang in there. Advil helps. Tons of it, Percocet if you can find a Dr who will write it,.....

and have been on Mestinon 240 mgs daily and cellcept 2000mg daily.I am a healthy 68 yr. old.Just lately I/m noticing cold, sensitive toes and and sciattiaca or nerve pain on complete right side,shoulder,hip to toes on 1 leg only,But both feet have red swollen toes. Drug side effects?

everything was great for first 7 mths. Then they changed his transplant meds from prograf and cellcept to rapamune and cell cept. Thats when it all went bad. He went into resp. arrest 4 times in 1 month, kidney failure, acted like he was drugged, twitched, and spent many weeks in the hosp. We tried to tell the docs that it was the new meds, he was also on vancomycin, and they would not listen they kept saying it was the pain meds he had been taking for years but we knew better.

Renal anomalies could be responsible for decreased or deranged renal function and may lead to renal failure. One working kidney is enough for normal functions of the body. It would be difficult to comment if your other symptoms could be related. I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with your treating nephrologist. I see ou wrote this a while back but I am hoping you are still here and will see my question. I am supposed to start taking Cellcept for Lupus and I can't find anyone who can tell me anything about how they did on it. Are you there? Did you have any side effects while on it?

His left kidney has atrophied and the right is failing. She is now on a drip and antibiotics, renal failure this time possibly an acute episode triggered by infection.
