1135761 tn?1260557094 back pain should not be due to your renal dysfunction. how much is the creatinine?
Avatar f tn Till two weeks back she was on PanGraaf 4mg, Wysolone (steroid) 15mg and CellCept 1000 mg a day. At that time (i.e. two weeks back) her blood result showed that her TLC has slipped to below normal (which is minimum 4) and was showing as 2.8. Her Haemoglobin seems to have settled around 11.2. All other results including Blood, LFT, Creatine etc show normal. Doctor reduced her CellCept to 500 mg (from 1000mg) and increased PanGraaf to 5 mg (from 4mg) and Wysolone (steroid) to 12.5mg (from 15 mg).
Avatar m tn If so, then the treatment is optimizing doses and levels of cellcept and prograf and trying to minimize the use of parenteral corticosteroids.
Avatar m tn 5mg and tenofovir 300mg) and prograf, cellcept wysolone etc. Two months back entacavir was withdrawn and I am now treated with tenofovir, prograf(6mg), cellcept(1000mg) and Magnesium suppliment. Almost at the same time( 2months back) I suffered from maleria also. Since then SGOT and SGPT are gradually rising from normal level, and they are now 69 and 46 level( normal range is 4) and rose to 3.2 almost one month back but it goes down to 2.3 now. What could be reason?
Avatar n tn My meds have slowly been reduced. At first I was on prednisone, prograf and cellcept. I was off both the pred and cellcept by 8 months. The trough level for prograf changes the further out you get from your transplant. Seeing that .5mg is the capsule of prograf they make, I assume it's the lowest dosage possible. It's always 12 hours apart since it doesn't have a long half life. I pushed to get off the meds as quickly as was safely possible. Why take more than we need ?
686869 tn?1227199935 If you could reduce your Prograf dose your kidney function might improve some. I don't know anything about you but at 4 years out your anti-rejection regimen seems rather aggressive. As I understand you you're taking 4 mg Prograf a day and 1000 mg Cellcept. I am 8 years out and I'm taking 2 mg Prograf in the am and 1 mg in the pm.
Avatar f tn My husband had autoimmune hepatitis and had liver transplant in March of 2003, he is doing well however, he stopped taking his meds 3 months ago because the meds is very expensive as he say, now he went back to take his meds that is Cellcept and Prograf . He now is feeling pain on his left side of his belly and it is really like distended and hard.and very warm to touch. His belly like shifted to the left ever since he had the surgery.
Avatar f tn My husband had a liver transplant on Aug.5th - and has been **** well. Today he broke out in hives all over his head. He is itching terribly - and the 2nd Benadryl hasn't helped. He is on Cellcept, prograf, and is in a clinical trial (so we don't really know what the extra meds are). Should we be concerned???
Avatar m tn Based on ALT/AST continuing to rise to the 300/400 level, and not rejection but hcv, what is the general action taken. Do you lower the prograf or cellcept and monitor closely? What is your experience in this scenario as far as the outcome?
Avatar f tn Assume you will be taking cellcept, prednisone and prograf after your tp. You probably will stop taking the cellcept and prednisone within the first few months. You can check the prices online but you can also check into programs to help those who are low income, if you qualify.
Avatar n tn In Sept of last year he started Cellcept for which he has now taken for over a year with little problems physically, it does cause some emotional changes as well as affecting his appetite and sleeping. We have now been told that should the Cellcept not work there is now a new alternative of Prograf. This gives me some hope. The hardest part of this whole battle comes with feeling like everything is such an experiment and that my son is a guinea pig.
Avatar m tn minimizing the prograf in favor of either rapa or cellcept is the way to go along with scrupulous control of any high blood pressure of diabetes.
Avatar n tn pancreas transplant. Since then I have been on three kinds of drugs for my transplant. Cellcept, Predizone, and Prograf are the drugs that I am taking. With these drugs along with having diabetes up until 5 years ago affect my chances of producing a child. I am also 32 years of age.
Avatar m tn I have read a little about the Ionic Magnesium in my search to help her in hopes I might be able to find her something that will work. She is on 1.5mg Prograf 2xdaily and that fluctuates up and down depending on her blood work labs. She is currently taking 1200mg of magnesium oxide tablets per day (400mg 3xdaily) and her levels are still plummeting.
Avatar n tn I am considering just staying on Prednizone for a little while longer and getting pregnant, and then going on cellcept. I have been on cellcept one week tomorrow, and think it would not be too late to discontinue (after talking to my doctor again) since I am also still on 40mg of prednizone every day. Do you have any opinions about cellcept and pregnancy?
Avatar m tn I take Prograf for the liver transplant and I know Naragenin affects the Prograf levels. My question is if during treatment I also took Naragenin and my prograf levels were closely watched and adjusted for the Naragenin effects, wouldn't I have a better chance of clearing the virus.
Avatar n tn 06 that just completed a 60 week treatment of Peg-intron and Rebetol. I was undetected at 12 weeks and stayed undetected through out the treatment. Unfortunately, the virus was detected 6 weeks after I stopped the treatment. I would really appreciate your thoughts on what you think would be the best course of action at this point. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn I have taken prograf and cellcept for 12 yrs. A month ago I went nito renal failure. The kidney Dr. said it was from the prograf that this happened. The liver Dr.disagrees and is putting me back on prograf lower dose. I have been taking prednisone in the mean time . Kind of worried this will happen again. Anyone else have this problem in the past and what was done about it . Thanks , any input would be welcome !
Avatar n tn 5mg Prograf bid, Rapamune 3 mg daily, 15 mg prednisone, Cellcept 500 mg qid. The nausea and vomiting has been very hard for him to deal with, and my guess is that increasing the immunosuppression will only worsen those symptoms. The most recent ERCP done last week showed a 6mm discrepancy between the donor and recipient bile ducts with an impression of primary vs secondary sclerosing cholangitis.
Avatar f tn I see ou wrote this a while back but I am hoping you are still here and will see my question. I am supposed to start taking Cellcept for Lupus and I can't find anyone who can tell me anything about how they did on it. Are you there? Did you have any side effects while on it?
Avatar f tn prograf can cause tremor and high blood pressure. its not unusual to feel fatigued this soon after a transplant.
Avatar f tn I take Cellcept for 2 and a half year. How long will last taking of this medicine because my hair and stomack can't stand it any more?
Avatar f tn I think 2 mg Prograf per day at 6 months out is a really nice dose and his Prograf blood level of 6.5 is definitely within range.
