Common Questions and Answers about Celexa reviews anxiety

celexa

Has anyone taken celexa? I just started less that a week ago. I just want to hear other people's experiences with it. Has anyone gained weight on it? Ect...
Now the hardest part of wd's for me has always been the anxiety and depression (figures since everyone says it's 2/3 mental) and all of the reviews I've read or heard firsthand for St. John's Wort makes it sound rather effective. Now I had gone 6 months on a small dose of sub (1-2mg) without using untill I tried to taper too fast and relapsed two weeks ago. So what I am trying to do now is wean myself off a little smarter and slower this time, but I still get anxiety depression constantly.
In my humble opinion I think the celexa would be just fine. give it at least 4 weeks to kick in .I take celexa and I love it. In the meantime try to exercise and deep breathing from the diaphragm.Keep alournal and write in it especially when the attacks come on. it helps to see them on paper out our heads and helps to put the attacks in perspective.Keep posting on your progress. good luck on the move.
I don't understand why because I have decent insurance. I hope if I do try Celexa that it works well for my anxiety but mainly I need a med that will not make my tremors bad. Thank you both for your help. I found the Zoloft to work at lowering my anxiety and depression but it made my tremor bad. I feel hopeless. I hope they all don't do that.
I am 23 yrs old a mother of 2..a 5 and 2 year old..And I am also happily married. I suffer from anxiety REALLY bad! It all started when my 2 year old was born he was in NICU for 11 days due to birth complications. It all started then..shortness of breath ALL the time, constantly having bad thougts..always thinking something was wrong with me heart palpitations and other horrible symptioms.
I also take 05 mg klonopin with clexa in the morning and I feel the klonopin helps more than the celexa with anxiety. that being said I am slowly weaning off the celexa very slowly and see if the klonopin will be enough. the jaw clenching especially at night is not fun. We are all different and hope it works for u!
I started on celexa and now I'm on lexapro and I feel like a million bucks. I lost jobs because of my anxiety. Suddenly I have a city career job. I'm dating three or four beautiful women who have always been just outside my perceived league now, and i'm incredibly anxiety free and happy. I thought I'd never say those words again, but I am. I'm so happy and relieved. It really is a chemical imbalance. I had no side effects from the celexa the three months I was on that.
I had no idea that testosterone replacement could cause anxiety. I took the stuff because I had anxiety, that Celexa had done a tremendous job of helping. I had to take a Klonopin last night because I was so anxious. I am pretty scared, because I can't have the pellets removed. Could this anxiety improve.?
I was just wondering if anyone has been on birth control pills and have suffered from anxiety or depression issues? I have been on the pill for 11yrs now and cant take how I am feeling anymore. I went on the pill for irregular periods, but since then I have been feeling blah, libido has decreased severely, I have sinus problems- I found out I have no allergies- so I think it is related to axiety, I worry constantly about everything; I get so nervous I get light headed sometimes.

It sounds like anxiety, and in light of all the negative tests, you should assume it is anxiety. Although Zoloft is a longer term medication for anxiety, you might ask your doctor to add a shorter term, more immediate acting, anti-anxiety medication like klonopin or ativan so you can get a quicker result and get rid of the cycle of being too worried and preoccupied. I would also suggest you work with the therapist, and talk a lot about your work, how you see your career going ,etc.
Hi everyone! Iv been taking celexa for the last four years for depression and anxiety and my doctor wants me to try Cymbalta as my celexa is no longer working and I have been suffering from pain that they believe is nerve related. Iv ready alot of reviews on this drug and not sure if its something I want to take, then again, iv read really good reviews on it. Anyone out there ever taken this drug and if so how was your experience with it.

I have read good things about it on revolutionhealth user reviews and even people who suffer from insomnia due to anxiety have had success with it... I am SOOOO worried that an SSRI will just CAUSE insomnia that I dont think it will help me... Especially that alot of the user reviews under the depression/anxiety say it causes insomnia... But maybe its a different kind of insomnia? Maybe I have absolutely no seratonin to create melatonin to sleep??? Would like some advice on this.
Since Wellbutrin doesn't affect your serotonin (well it is but very very slightly) I don't personally recommend you stop taking Celexa but take both if you want to quit Celexa you must at least taper it slowly. Maybe switch Celexa to another SSRI like Lexapro or Prozac.
I went to my family doctor and she told me its anxiety...started on Celexa and klonopin and I am happy to say I already feel great. I will get waves of anxiety in the middle of the night but they go away fast and I am back to sleep. The anxiety can really consume you which is what is so terrible. Did they give you any meds? The klonopin helped a lot while the celexa kicked in. I don't need the klonopin now. I have had no side effects either from the Celexa.
From my research, nothing I have read has eased my mind about these meds. I thought I had found a solution in neurontin but after reading reviews, heck not. I wonder if there is a really really light weight SSRI type medicine that is easy to get off if needed. Meaning I don't have to take the dam thing for 4months then get brain zaps etc.
My doctor moved and I am having another bout with the anxiety, nervousness and panic attacks. My new doctor hates benzos and wants me to wean off. I think this is a bad time to do that. Klonopin is the only thing besides ativan that ever gave relief. it also takes care of the insomnia associated with the ssri's. This Dr. likes Celexa but I am really having a hard time with the side effects. Anybody else on long term benzo's. BTW I don't drink or smoke.
Hi, I have taken lexapro in the past. I have chronic depression & anxiety. Lexapro was not strong enough for me. The dr switched me to celexa. If taken correctly,( like all anti-depressants) .it should make you feel better but it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for these drugs to work.

I know there are a ton of reviews, stories and recommendations regarding generic Wellbutrin (bupropion) usage and duration but my case seems unique and cannot find anything remotely similar to it. I'll keep as short and sweet as possible: - I started on 150mg of Bupropion (Sandoz manufacturer) and had an INTENSE honeymoon starting on the third day. It lasted ~2 days and the effects felt almost identical to that of MDMA. -After 8 days on 150mg I bumped up to 300mg SR from manufacturer Mylan.
I've tried Paxil, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Celexa and others, but always seem to suffer with some pretty bad side effects on all of them. With the Paxil, I had insomnia, really bad night sweats and GI problems. With the Effexor, I had really bad insomnia, heart palpitations and anxiety. With the Wellbutrin, I actually got more depressed and even had a "road rage" incident while on it.
i wish i could explain it the way my doctor did a few days ago... i have been prescribed citalopram (celexa) on the lowest dose to kick in (takes 3-4 weeks to start working) at the end of my short Subutex run of 20 days, (immediately tapering down then off), to help with the post-withdrawal restlesses/irritability and cravings / depression that results.
But, do some research to help you understand triggers for anxiety, the way anxiety can manifest itself, the HUGE HUGE HUGE (okay....) role HORMONES play in anxiety. Many women sail along quite well until they hit perimenopause and then WHAM....anxiety issues set in. The Progesterone/Estrogen ratio gets all out of balance for many women.
it says 1-2. I know 1 is enough for me..Its meant for anxiety ,depression ADHD and many use it when coming off substance to help with energy loss. The part wich is amazing is I cleaned my kitchen 3 hours last night..pulled out every drawer, cleaned them out , cleaned the fridge...ect..i didn't even do that when i was using..its not a high its just energy and focus..I recommend this to you all who need a natural way to get better! Check some reviews on google too..
We are all veterans of the anxiety wars. I have been helped enormously by fellow members of this and the anxiety community. You can get better. Ducky has urged you to get a therapist, and I second that: do try hard to find one. If you can't drive, take a cab. Just get help. Know you said you don't want medicine, but be open to an anti anxiety at least to get you out. You will hear there is no magic pill and it is true.
- Topamax - Amitrityline - Physical therapy - Chiropractor - Massage therapy - Acupuncture - Maxalt (for the headaches) - Imitrex (for the headaches) - Celexa (for the anxiety-like symptoms) I also made dietary changes. I tried a gluten free diet for awhile as well as a dairy free diet. I can't do a vegetarian diet because I have tissue problems that require a lot of protein that can't be gained strictly from vitamins. I've also engaged in regular physical activity.
I still get a tingling sensation sometimes under my left eye, but only when I have really high anxiety. The vibrating in my leg (both now) and the fizzing in my feet comes and goes but never more than a day or two. If I get anxiety about something, my leg starts vibrating or my feet fizz. Never did anything go away for any length of time (prior to ABX). Gosh, I hope this helps... kind of hard to explain.
