I never had high blood sugar but recently after a 10 day course of celebrex for an inflamed shoulder muscle my fasting blood sugar shot up to 137. I read that celebrex has this side effect. Is it reversible?

Hello, Previously before starting Celebrex medication I had slightly high blood pressure I am taking blood pressure medication, after starting Celebrex my blood pressure soared to 170/80 and the highest being 183. My doctor sent me to a cardiac specialist and it was found that I had a faulty heart valve, I had an Angiogram and was found to have slightly enlarged heart muscle. I think you should go back to your doctor and tell him that the medication you are taking is not agreeing with you. There are so many different kinds of high blood pressure medications that surely he can find one that agrees with you. Is Ramipril an ace inhibitor? If so then it's the ace inhibitor. I'm on an ace inhibitor too and I have the cough, BUT I think the cough is better to have than the high blood pressure, BUT only if the cough isn't too much of a bother and doesn't keep you awake at night.
