celebrex

Avatar f tn hi i have arthritis and i have had 4 joints totally replaced and i am only 35 with no kids. i am having so severe side effects from my med mainy celebrex i have had an heart test and was seen as early polarization , diagnosed with chronic gastrointestinal reflux and have skin rash and legions . i am thinking of a claim against them . but in the main time i dont want my doctors to feel bad as they have been with me since my early twenties.
Avatar m tn It is wise to ask the professionals on here anyway. There are a few side effects including potential failure to urinate and possible itching that could occur with Tramadol. I use drugs.com for more information about drug interactions. As usual the is usually only 3-4 % chance of adverse side effects with US meds.
Avatar m tn I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar m tn Hello tobinc, I just finished reading your comments. If I understand you correctly, you say you are having some issues with your left shoulder and neck. My chiropractor, I have neck and back issues, says that sometimes if you have a problem with neck pain it can connect with your shoulder. My husband actually has problems with his right shoulder and neck. He picked up something really heavy while helping his mom and dad at their house and threw out his shoulder.
Avatar f tn My pain is in cotrol but my husband is also worried about the side effects. Is there something else I could take with the same effect on pain but that I could lose this weight. I also take cymbalta and celebrex. Please help.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Neurontin has alot of side effects. I took it and Ik alot of other people that have taken it and that are now taking it. I personally feel that the bad outweighs the good when it comes to this drug and Lyrica. There are so many bad side effects. Pitted edema, weight gain, blurred vision, sleep eating, can cause more pain than before you started, hangover into next day, brain fog, headaches etc... Just look up adverse reactions to this drug and see if you are experiencing them.
Avatar m tn I have been advised to take Celebrex or Topamax for headaches. Which treats headaches/migraines better? Which has had more success?
Avatar f tn Up until February, I had been on opiates for a few years. Norco along with Celebrex and Robaxin (muscle relaxer). I had more side effects from all the NSAID's I was on before my insurance would finally approve Celebrex, than I did with the Norco. The only side effect I had with Norco was nausea with vomiting only when it got really bad. But that was only if I took it on an empty stomach. But the pain relief outweighed the nausea because I took an anti histamine to counter act it.
Avatar n tn Hence you will need to take lower dose of Cymbalta as the drug concentrations are expected to remain high due to slow metabolism. If the dose of Cymbalta is not adjusted well it can result in serious side effects such as orthostatic hypertension or hypertension or tremors or ataxia etc. However, your other doctors are right too. There is no drug interaction between them, and so even if you become pregnant, there is not going to be any additional harm due to drug interaction.
Avatar dr m tn I believe a person should not be on Celebrex very long term due to the side effects. SAMe may be something you want to look into. Some studies show that patients showed similar to greater pain relief after 60 days of SAMe when compared to Celebrex. I'm starting that transition now. Also take Omega3's (in pretty high doses) and trying to really get after the CORE work as most physicians will tell you that has a tremendous effect on all types of low back pain. I do wish you well.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I have tapered the Neurontin to 500mg/day. This question is related to side effects that may be due to Neurontin or maybe my migraines. When I was on a higher dose of Neurontin I was getting almost daily visual disturbances in both eyes that looked like what my migraine auras look like but those are in one eye and are followed by a headache. These aura's start like a wiggly line that flutters or moves and gets stronger then disappers over about a half hour.
1415174 tn?1453243103 s the Neurontin and not the Celebrex that was causing it from what you have said to me. Especially since that is one of the side-effects of the Neurontin and VERY seldom (only - was is it 5%?) for the Celebrex. I'd take the chance that it IS the Neurontin and go ahead and take the Celebrex since it helps your pain. It's worth a try, for IF it Stops AFTER the Neurontin is GONE, then you know that you CAN take the Celebrex. IF it starts again then you would know that it was BOTH.
Avatar m tn Some seem to be cured while others have to stay on the drug. There are side effects of long term treatment with Celebrex as well. But the doctor in the article thinks that in some people it is genetic to produce the Cox-2 enzyme and those that do will get cancer or tumors while those that don't their immune systems will clear the virus. This is very interesting and thank so much for sending it.
Avatar f tn My great aunt took Celebrex too- for her rheumatoid arthritis, but you may want to look into potential side very serious side effects and weigh that into considering it.
Avatar f tn sorry to jump in, but i had the impression that Celebrex was going to be taken out of the market for several reasons. It is not sold in South America because of that, since people were complaining about these symptoms you metion (upset stomach, etc) and one of them was "bouncing pain". Amy, did they put you straight on Celebrex, or did you try other mild over the counter painkillers? i suffer from both AS and MS, and i take higher doses of Advil or any other Iboprufen around.
1207048 tn?1282174304 Like Alex, I give meds a fair shake too unless experiencing reaction type side affects....I gave baclofen a couple months for side affects to subside relief. They did and it was very much worth the reduction in spasms. Hope this kicks in for you soon!
Avatar f tn Unfortunately I suffered very bad side effects such as hallucinations (Omeprazole) and rash with both. So am still in a lot of pain and not sure what to do? Just wondered if anyone can suggest any recommendations. And if you do eventually get better? I find sitting very hard which means I can't work at the minute.
Avatar n tn I never had high blood sugar but recently after a 10 day course of celebrex for an inflamed shoulder muscle my fasting blood sugar shot up to 137. I read that celebrex has this side effect. Is it reversible?
358304 tn?1409709492 I think that it would be ok to drop down like the doc told u to do and also on comment to the getting off i was having the same problem with celexa and he changed me to celebrex now so hope that the problem goes away he says that celebrex is less side effects of the sexual disfunction hope all goes good and keep up the great job stephanie
Avatar f tn There are also some injectable meds out there that your doctor can inject directly into your knees and feet and they are also non-narcotic. The side effects are even worse with these though as many of them are linked to the development of cancer; however, the amount of cases that developed cancer are extremely low so it is probably a rare side effect. There is also lidocaine ointment and patches which is a local anesthetic used to block pain signals from reaching the brain.
Avatar f tn You are 74 and done with menopause, now it is up to you to decide what you wish to do, if you can get a second opinion from another Oncologist. I am the kind of person who believes that life quality is far more precious than life quantity. I am 69 and I have decided that no more treatments for me, I am done. Ask yourself and your trusted oncologist the following: 1] How much longer will I lead a quality life if I don't use any Aromatose Inhibitors?
Avatar f tn I also have been getting a lot of the rare side effects from all the various drugs I have been prescribed. I tried Celebrex again and after 3 days got another aura. So, now I don't know for sure which one it is that is causing the problem. Also, I worry that it may cause permanent eye damage before I can get off of Neurontin. I don't really want to quit Celebrex as I get flare ups due to back pain and it is helpful. Have you heard of visual disturbances like this?
