Avatar f tn Your doctor may have an explanation to account for your symptoms but, if not he/she may have to empirically prescribe another drug, one not in the category of bactrim and Cefdinir. It would also be reasonable for you to ask your doctor to contact the pharmaceutical manufacturers of these drugs to find out if reactions such as yours have been reported.
Avatar m tn First off: Its very very difficult to contract warts/HPV through oral sex. And the itchy-ness usually doesn't come in a Rash style. I would definitely get checked out though, for other STD's. I do know that some types of mono can cause itching. Hang in there, buddy!
Avatar m tn Third, what are my odds of catching Syphillis give it is more prevelant in SE Asia and Thailand. My final question is that I visited a doctor in HK and he prescribed Cefdinir 300mgs, 2x a day for 2 weeks to treat possible STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and he also indicated this could treat Syphilis. After spending some time online, I am confused and not certain that will treat the above issues.
Avatar f tn Hello My husband has been suffering from something for 3 years now. There are many symptoms and I'm hoping someone can offer some insight as to what he should be asking and what he should be tested for. My hubby is 34 with no remarkable medical history. He used anabolic steroids briefly back in college.. That's about it. The onset of symptoms began about 3.5 years ago w the birth of our first son. Every couple of months he'd come down w flu like symptoms.
Avatar f tn Staph infections, especially MRSA infections, are very common in children in that area. She should continue to follow up with the dermatologist as needed at this point since it's not unusual for staph infections of the skin to come back repeatedly.
Avatar m tn hey wanted to share with the group a visit with my new LLMD in NYC who is well known for this as well as other hard to diagnose/treated illnesses. the consultation was north of $1000 so y'all get it for free ;) i'm on the following regime for 1 month and have a follow up to see how i'm doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme.
427258 tn?1266445242 and she told his he has a viral infection. Now he has broken out in this pinkish/red rash all over his body. Some are raised and some are not. My mother said she believes it to be roseola. Any one else go through this with thier child? Should I be concerned? Any remedies for it or does it just run its course?
Avatar f tn For the last or two years when the weather changes or anything the right side of my face would swell and I will be in pain but every time I go to the dr or ER over it they tell me it's a toothache but my teeth don't hurt it only hurts up beside my nose and by my eye like it's my sinus..
Avatar f tn I took an antibiotic called cefdinir for about a week and I think augmentin for like a day?
Avatar f tn -- Biaxin (clartihromycin) and Omnicef (cefdinir) for Lyme. However, I have seen references in various places online to Flagyl being used against babesia. If you search "babesiosis flagyl" you'll find what I did. Take care!
Avatar f tn This comes as a complete surprise to me, since we were in a committed relationship. He told me he thinks he’s had it for several months, but only recently went to a dr for testing and diagnosis. Here’s my question: after several internet searches, the only “symptom” I can find that I have is the spots in my eyes, and a very, very slight discharge. I asked my ex if he was sure and he confirmed that yes, his test came back positive.
Avatar f tn for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things. is the vertigo/dizziness normal with these infections and how long until I can expect some relief from this medication?
Avatar f tn I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir. I realize I am only day 3 but my throat hurts worse than it did to begin with. I'm having trouble swallowing and have a consistent stabbing pain in my throat. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar symptoms or knows if this could be a continuation of strep or something else.
Avatar m tn I just had first root canal #14 through dental crown. Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. Avatar n tn I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight. Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration. I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia. Last night at the ER they could see no reason for my symptom. The only symptom being sever diarrhea.
163305 tn?1333668571 I know of a 5 year old girl who was recently brought to the doctor because of a rash on her privates. She was diagnosed with herpes. The doctor said this is common in children. I don't know anything about herpes but this sounds wrong to me. Does anybody know of a young child getting herpes other than from sexual abuse?
Avatar f tn I just recently found out about this "Bra Rash" from using Victoria's Secret bras. I've been using them since I was 16 and never had any problems until recently. I have had the rash for over a year now, it will go away for a week or so and then come back. I stopped wearing VS bras about a month or 2 ago, but the rash is still there. My main concern about the whole matter is not so much the rash, but the fact I have been nursing my son while wearing these bras.
Avatar f tn If you are like me, you would do almost anything to get it to stop. My mother-in-law had this problem in the late 90's before she passed away. She would say she had a "Whoosh" in her ears. She told the doctor and he gave her another drug. I guess it was a "Whoosh" drug. She was on a lot of medication, maybe if they had evaluated her drugs, the problem may have gone away. I just wanted to share my experience with others in case it might help them.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, the last time I had to use the albuterol treatments, my son was suspect of having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic that he was on (Cefdinir) for a bacterial infection in his middle ears (he had a rash on the inside of his legs and developed a chronic cough, which lead to severe asthma).
228015 tn?1223693378 We are thinking of you and your daughter and sending {{{{{get well vibes}}}}} .. In January I was in the hospital with my 16yr old for 8 days and nights unexpectedly; turned out she had a dysfunctional gallbladder and now she is wonderful without it. Do you have enough meds with you? I did not have any and ended up going a few days w/o any and the pharmacy across the street managed to get me a few. From that pt. fwd. I carry one or two with me in my pocketbook.
Avatar n tn It is best that your child be isolated from other children at home. Most rash in children are viral in origin. Adequate rest, plenty of water intake and good ventilation will be able to help.
