I could find no reports to suggest (what is called) cross-reactivity between Bactrim and Cefdinir. That does, however, not rule out this possibility. You were wise to stop taking the drug and contact your physician. You ask is this an allergic reaction or a symptom. The sensations and numbness you describe would fall under the heading of symptoms. The symptoms could be caused by an adverse reaction to the medication that could be either allergic or non-allergic with inflammation.

How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.

Sorry you are having such a hard time -- it may be a 'Herx' reaction, short for Herxheimer ... you can look it up on wikipedia, but it's the effect of the bacteria dying off and releasing their toxins into your system.
I'd call the doc's office tomorrow and report your symptoms, because it could be something the doc needs to know about, like whether to change the meds or the dose or whatever. Don't do that without the doc's approval, tho.
Oh my gosh, how frightening! I am new to hypothyroidism so I don't know the answer to your question, but since you have lupus, have you run this situation by your rheumie? Are the two docs exchanging info to best get all of this under control? I hope you begin to feel better soon. Good luck!
I am wondering how long it takes Fludrocortisone to work. I have been taking 1/2 of a .1 mg tablet twice a day for a couple of weeks. My BP has not gone up at all and I don't feel any better. I have already gained a few pounds quickly and am trying to decide whether to go up on it. My dr. said I could.
There is good logic in taking a child off the pill to see how they cope. There are many kids with ADHD that have learned how to cope and can go off medication. Of course, it all depends on how severely they are affected, and how old they are, what their needs are, etc. The main thing is that the children have to be trained how to cope. Just taking them off to see what happens is not helping them too much.

s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.

I am impressed with this book because of the thoughtful and thorough discussion *explains* how the various herbs work, how to take them, what for, etc., giving *context* for each one. Most of the other herbal books seem to list what to take but without any coherent explanation, and it sounds like gossip.
In this book, however, for example, in the section on Babesia, there is a brief description of the disease, then moves to three possible herbs, the first being artemisia.
