The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week. My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up. Yesterday i went to doctor due to still having the burning after urination. I was given a pee test and then prescibed 10 days of Cipro 500 mg twice a day. I do not think they tested me for any stds but i was diagnosed with a UTI.
I am a myoclonic seizure patient and due to this UTI issue Am on no sleep. Not good for seizure condition. The Dr. was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!!
as i said it is an antibiotic so would kill bacteria to some degree but if you tested negative at 6 weeks you dont have it
I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.
Last night at the ER they could see no reason for my symptom. The only symptom being sever diarrhea.

Your doctor may have an explanation to account for your symptoms but, if not he/she may have to empirically prescribe another drug, one not in the category of bactrim and Cefdinir. It would also be reasonable for you to ask your doctor to contact the pharmaceutical manufacturers of these drugs to find out if reactions such as yours have been reported.
Thank you for responding to my question. It has been 12 days since I had root canal on #14. Took Cipro for 7 days. I'm still feeling lpain/discomfort on #14 and try not to chew on that side of mouth. How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.
1.5g Zithromax for three days on Second week. 3 days of Cefdinir for possible UTI few weeks later(didn't finish 10day). Now, I'm on the 11th day of Doxycycline for the NSU diagnosis. Doxy made it better for the first 4 or 5 days but now it's slowly coming back and I'm still popping pills. I gotta call the doc cause they want to see me if my condition persists. The doc even suggested a prostate exam.

I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
Yea they put me on it for a while for a uti. I'm resistant to it, but other than that its totally safe for pregnant women.
I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.
Sorry you are having such a hard time -- it may be a 'Herx' reaction, short for Herxheimer ... you can look it up on wikipedia, but it's the effect of the bacteria dying off and releasing their toxins into your system.
I'd call the doc's office tomorrow and report your symptoms, because it could be something the doc needs to know about, like whether to change the meds or the dose or whatever. Don't do that without the doc's approval, tho.
s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.
