Thank you for responding to my question. It has been 12 days since I had root canal on #14. Took Cipro for 7 days. I'm still feeling lpain/discomfort on #14 and try not to chew on that side of mouth. How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.
as i said it is an antibiotic so would kill bacteria to some degree but if you tested negative at 6 weeks you dont have it

Your doctor may have an explanation to account for your symptoms but, if not he/she may have to empirically prescribe another drug, one not in the category of bactrim and Cefdinir. was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.

That sounds absolutely crazy! Dentists persuade you to keep your teeth except in extreme cases where they can't be saved for certain reasons. For a dentist to pull out a perfectly healthy molar which is vital for chewing, is absurd. And all that just so he could work on a tooth behind it? He's a crazy man.
We first ignored it, but nonetheless visited a dentist this week. He said the kid must have fallen down, had a crack in the tooth, and then the tooth tuned dead.... the discoloration is due to blood/infection. The dentist never took any X-ray.

I've had an abcess on my gum for about a year. I pop it about two times a day like a pimple. My tooth that needed a rootcanal 4 years ago has started to chip off on the inner part,and is no longer painful. The problem is I can't afford to go to the dentist. Thanks doctor. i am 26 now, my wisdom tooth teethes almost completely. is it safe to remove it. i am scared of jaw fracture :-). beside this wisdom tooth, there are 2 other ones but they are ok, not hurts me at all.
I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.
Sorry you are having such a hard time -- it may be a 'Herx' reaction, short for Herxheimer ... you can look it up on wikipedia, but it's the effect of the bacteria dying off and releasing their toxins into your system.
I'd call the doc's office tomorrow and report your symptoms, because it could be something the doc needs to know about, like whether to change the meds or the dose or whatever. Don't do that without the doc's approval, tho.

I feel scared after reading that leaving an abscessed tooth untreated for years can cause health issues related to the brain like brain abscesses. I have a tooth that has a very deep cavity and has been abscessed many times and I think the root of the tooth is dead because I don't feel any pain anymore. now, I'm very afraid that I am in danger and I feel like I am going to die please can you give me any advice.
I am wondering what are all the pros and cons for veneers vs crown, for a root canaled tooth. My tooth has a largish filling on the side in addition to the root canal, so my prime worry is whether a veneer can protect my tooth against getting cracked or damaged. Cost wise they both are about the same, I will be going for metal free ceramic crown/veneer.
