I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.

i took him to the dr tuesday and he had a double ear infrceion. she put him on CEFDINIR and said there was a 5% chance hed have reation and wednesday (after 3 doses) he broke out in an awful rash. just like he did when he was 11 months old from the penicillin,. he is 2 and a half now. I took him to the dr and we stopped the medicine and i began the 4-6 hrs of benadryl i just want to know how long will he continue to break out? he goes between 6-8 hours and then will break out.

A month ago, white spots appeared on the head of my penis. These spots are not raised at all and have not changed at all. They are the same texture as the surrounding area. It basically just looks like a discoloration under the skin. About 4 weeks after these spots appeared, my genitals started to itch, however this was also when the weather became much warmer.

Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

My final question is that I visited a doctor in HK and he prescribed Cefdinir 300mgs, 2x a day for 2 weeks to treat possible STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) and he also indicated this could treat Syphilis. After spending some time online, I am confused and not certain that will treat the above issues.

Went to every skin Dr and they were stumped..well I just had thyroid surgery to remmove toxic nodule and half my thyroid...guess what? The rash is finally clearing up all by it self now! Yaaaaay! Tell you Dr about it and insist you get your thyroid treated..myself I recomend the surgery over the radiation. A litter more painful but much safer esp for those of us with thyroid rash!

I would definitely pay attention to any rash. I have been on synthyroid for years and because of a comment I made to my doctor about feeling low on energy, we switch my regular medication routine to include cytomel. When I was trying to it on rash the whole thing opend up and spilled on my hands. 2 days later my skin on my palms and fingers started to peel very badly which lasted about 3 weeks. Do you guys know if the peeling might have caused by Cortizone.10?

I can still tell where the rash is as the skin is still red. Another symptom I have is that my skin appears to be more red than normal, mostly on my hands and knees. The surface of my skin is fine, it just seems that there is an increase in blood in these areas. When I press down on my skin for a few seconds and then lift up, my skin is white for a few seconds and then turns back to red. I noticed this symptom about a week after the encounter.

This is ALWAYS accompnied in the first 2-3 days by a spotty rash across my stomach and chest, and a dark red and hot rash on my inner thighs. In the worst cases, I also get a fever. I've been to a doctor several times, and they just tell me to take Cortizone cream.
