Avatar n tn Hi, My daughter who has recently turned 2.5 years old recently grew the habit of forcefully vomit her breakfast and snacks without any physical disorder symptoms. The occurence is erratic which doesn't allow us or her pediatrician to associate with any disorder. Is this common for toddlers or something is wrong. I was recently reading one article on Autism and her vomiting symptoms seems familiar but other symptoms of autism never has appeared in her.
1346101 tn?1288051949 Hi there. Causes of vomiting could arise from the gastrointestinal tract like acute gastritis caused by infections, helicobacter pylori and rotavirus, food poisoning by salmonella, E.coli, peptic ulcer disease and gastro esophageal reflux disease. Central causes are migraine headaches, meniere’s disease of the inner ear, heat exhaustion, head injury, pituitary adenomas.

Avatar f tn I am just looking for some opinions. I have been doing lots of research in hopes of helping him in the interim year that we are waiting for an appt. and we do have another appt with the ped next week. I have also gotten him into a clinic that is funded by the Autism Alliance for an evaluation by them...although it will not be an official diagnosis it will help sort some things out, I hope. Thanks so much for reading and giving any input.
787406 tn?1339203183 I have read about speech issues with prolonged usage of pacifiers but honestly, know not one kid affected in this way. Neither of my boys ever took a pacifier but have nieces, nephews and friends kids that certainly have. And none have had a speech issue. So personally, I wouldn't worry about this. They won't go down the wedding aisle with it and might just need the soothing and comfort of it. You can have a rule about only at bed time if you wish as many kids past 2 do.

Avatar n tn I have a 2 year old that refuses to eat anything he may eat a cheese doodle here and there. We have started him on formula for toddlers because of his weight loss and when he does eat he says his belly hurts and this morning he was throwing up the formula but kept it down today. Avatar n tn My son has been diagnosed with phimosis. He is 22 months old. The hole at the tip of his foreskin is only open about the size of a pin. He is in great pain when he urinates. His penis balloon's up and then he is able to go, but runs around the house crying and holding himself for quite a while before he will void. Putting him in the bath seems to be the only way to 'make" him go, but it is still very painful.
Avatar n tn We have discovered mulitple enlarged lymph nodes on my 2 year old son, with some the size of a pea. He is having alot of episodes of severe sweating from his neck up, where we need to change his shirt or the sheet in his bed is saturated. He does complain of belly pain, where I need to rub his belly. He also complains of leg pain at times where I need to rub his leg or give him Tylenol. My husband was diagnosed with CLL in 2005 and has had 7 rounds of chemo.
Avatar n tn ve noticed she has alot of aggression towards me and is constantly hitting me and always in my stomach. I manage to block her 90-95% of the time and discipline her for doing it. It just seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Would anyone have any suggestions that I could implement that could curb this type of behaviour in my daughter?
Avatar f tn What you've read, I think, is that most people get major depression or anxiety problems in their late teens or twenties. But some do get it at other ages. Childhood anxiety is considered to be different from adult anxiety, but again, if for you it's been the same all along with no break then that's you. But it sounds like your childhood anxieties did calm down. For some, anxiety is caused by trauma, but for others we can't find the reason.
Avatar f tn Hi, Thanks for the update. Almost 70 % of tapeworm infection of the brain causes seizure. It can mimic brain tumor also. Neurocysticercosis is caused by a tapeworm found in pigs and may be obtained with contamination from food, water or surfaces contaminated with feces. Other symptoms include gastrointestinal ones such as nausea, abdominal discomfort, etc. Continue with your health evaluation and just know that we will be here anytime you need us Take care always.
Avatar m tn Migraines are caused by problems with constriction of the blood vessels, but the cause of migraines can be from various causes. In this case, I might see a naturopath or holistic nutritionist and try a liver cleanse -- might be too late to do that, however, and to do that she would first have to stop taking medication, since liver cleansing washes out some of the medication with it.
Avatar f tn bloating, nausea and vomiting). It all cleared up when I went on the Zofran, got rid of the nausea, and was able to eat again. But my point is, whatever was causing the nausea, was causing several other problems as well.
Avatar f tn Hi It could be a case of gastroenteritis (gut infection) which has led to diarrhea and vomiting. The main symptoms of gastroenteritis are diarrhea and vomiting although one or the other symptom may predominate. If the symptoms persist (>1 day), worsen or lead to other complications you should consult your doctor who could order some tests such as stool examination etc. In the meanwhile take rest and drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
5710313 tn?1372829381 My fiance has been in and outta the ER 6 times in the past 2 months. No one knows what's wrong with him. He has savear nausea, throws up whats seems like gallons of clear puke full of bile and blood for hours, extreme hot and cold flashes, his body shakes for hours, back and neck pains, extremely low potassium, and an irregular heart beat. He goes in to the ER, gets stabilized and discharged and has to be rushed back 2 days later as soon as he eats solid foods.
Avatar f tn I was having the same problem and at first thought nothing was wrong. I would go into the hospital because I quickly found out that the pains were contractions. It's caused because of dehydration. This makes your uterus " upset" and causes you to have contractions! They will rehydrate you and give you a shot to stop the pains and will check to make sure you are not dilating!
Avatar n tn They simply attribute it to Noonan Syndrome in general. That is why I posted here... in hopes of discovering possible causes... ie. the hiatal hernia you mentioned. I read a bit about early this morning and made a note of it to ask his doctor about it.
