Avatar_n_tn It's extremely hard for me to go out to dinner at restaurants from the fear of throwing up. I don't go to clubs or bars because i am terrified of the thought of throwing up. This has taken over my life. It's the most terrible feeling. I honestly would rather have a booger up my nose and have someone tell me then to have to deal with this. It's nice to know there are others out there besides me. I've tried Lexapro...doean't work...
12679876_tn?1426981493 I have an 8 year old male cat who started throwing up yellow bile on Saturday. I got him to drink a little tuna juice and he acted like he wanted to eat dry food but only ate one piece and that was after several times of picking it up and putting it back down. All test results from the vet came back normal. No bacteria. He did have blood in his stool. But no infection. No temp, and barely dehydrated. He's going in for a teeth cleaning tomorrow because he had severe tartar build up.
Avatar_f_tn Inadequate sleep, high blood pressure, excessive exposure to heat, high altitude, motion sickness, sea sickness, indigestion, side effects of certain medicines, exposure to chemical toxins, emotional stress or fear, a reaction to certain smell or odor, fever, overeating, etc. may result in vomiting as soon as you consume food.
Avatar_m_tn One time when I lost that much weight it was due to my gallbladder. I was throwing up every morning for six months. Coffee was the trigger. Do try stopping coffee as it causes problems for so many people.
725248_tn?1316165845 The dogs name is Lucy, one of Lucy's bad habits is she is a chewer, if our kids leave anything on the floor she chews it up. For about the last month now, it doesn't happen every night, but it will happen several times a week. At about 4am she will start vomitting, there are never any chunks, its just foamy liquid. She also has another odd habit, its like she is sneezing backwards.

Avatar_n_tn I get a burp that smells like sulfur or rotten eggs. When I get this I know shortly, within an hour, I will be throwing up for the next couple of hours. This sometimes lasts for a couple of days. I also have bad, gas and runny stools. If its not coming out one end, its coming out the other. Is it something I've eaten that is bad, or am I suseptable to food poisoning because I've had it before? Can you help me?
Avatar_n_tn A few weeks later the pinky on other hand then hurt, followed by both thumbs. I also noticed my bottoms of feet hurt. Every morning when I wake all the fingers are swelled up and very hard to bend. I cant tell if they are hard to bend b/c of water retention or b/c joints are swelled. I feel very stiff .As day goes on I feel better. I am active and in good shape, thin. I run a few times a week and feel better after exercising.
2190999_tn?1436667455 The anxiety my mail causes me is way out of proportion to what it should be. I know that sounds weird, but it's honestly become a huge problem for me. It feels like standing in the eye of a tornado with life spinning out of control around you. I debated calling my psy doc but decided to post here first. So has anyone ever experience this?

604197_tn?1292308636 I just wanted to comment and I am not a doctor just a Mom. My son suffered a TBI and one of first questions when he woke up was did he feel like he could smell foods etc. These senses (smell and taste) in his case seemed to be heighten - he said he could smell things that we couldn't or when he tasted something it was very salty to him.
Avatar_f_tn Do you do any kind of exercise too? If so, what kind? I'm thinking about pilates and maybe taking up kickboxing as a stress reliever. I am so excited that my DR has put me on this (for migraines), i PRAY I'll get the loss of appetite side effect!!!!! I so badly need to lose 40 lbs!! Thank you so much for responding! Anyone else with any advice is greatly appreciated!! Have a great week!
Avatar_m_tn Skin biopsies reveal lymphocytic and eosinophilic inflammation around the hair follicles The causes of infection are mite Demodex, the yeast Pityrosporum, and bacteria An autoimmune process has also been investigated.
Avatar_n_tn Most people don't understand how bad morning sickness can get. It's called hypermesis gravidarum when you are throwing up all day everyday. Only 2% of women get it this bad so people often think you are being a baby or overdramatic because it's not common. I've had it with both of my pregnancies and it is extremely hard! When your husband sees you throw up nonstop he should get the point! You can try diclegis. It's a medicine your doctor can prescribe that helps some women.
Avatar_f_tn My RE won't prescribe injectibles without being monitored and we would have to pay for everything out of pocket. We can't take the risk of just throwing all that money away. I'm not being negative, just realistic.
Avatar_f_tn My son, who is 13, has been throwing up every day for 5 months, with the exception of few days. He's thrown up all but one day in 2014. He's had tests for: gall bladder, upper gi, endoscopy, MRI, ultrasound, giardia, thyroid, (he's gained weight), stomach emptying test, a poo cleanout, a variety of blood tests and urine tests, all of which have come back normal. Food does not seem to trigger it.
Avatar_n_tn I've never been a fan or throwing up and the thought of it makes me a bit sick, but it doesn't seem to me to be tied to anything like that, at least no that I'm aware of at all. Thanks for your comments/questions/advice.
Avatar_n_tn Without enough bile soup, the fat wraps around the food waste, giving your intestines a hard time to absorb and move them around. I wake up in the middle of the night because of this and wake up in the morning extremely thirsty and tired. I found to work around this, you need to eat low fat, and take vitamin supplements such as Centrum. After 3 days you can feel better. If not, look into Celiac Sprue and stay on a gluten free diet for a few days. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps through.
Avatar_n_tn Once or twice a very severe pain has manifested around the site of appendectomy so I wonder if a sloppy surgery could have allowed the colon to get stuck in some spot or something of that nature and manifests itself higher up. Again, the confusing thing is that it's most often classic liver/gallbladder. I've also checked out fine on a colonoscopy. My HIDA scan said gallbladder was at 88 percent which is considered very good.
Avatar_m_tn Pinched nerve? Back muscles? I don't know. But it is very aggrivating to wake up to this every morning lately. The pain is so bad I yelp eveytime I try to move. If anyone has any tips please fill me in.
Avatar_m_tn My biggest problem with all of this is whatever is ingested does not digest, I am unable to eat anything or drink anything including water without throwing up and any type of roughage does not digest nor does apple peels, fruits of any kind, or any of the medicines the doctors have me on.
Avatar_n_tn I got a script for anti-nausea meds which I immediately vomited up, so then I went to 50mg of vitamin B6 with a 1/2 tablet of Unisom each evening. My doctor also took me off prenatal vitamins and told me to take 2 Flintstones vitamins a day instead, as it has the same amount of folic acid, but not as much iron (which causes nausea and vomiting in some women). It's not a perfect solution, but it's definitely much more tolearble.
Avatar_f_tn I HAVE ALSO SEEN PEOPLE STANDING IN MY DOOR WAY AND MANY DARK FIGURES IN THE ROOM NOT TO MENTION THE COUNTLESS TIMES I HAVE SEEN SPIDERS ON THE BED AND THROWN THE COVERS COMPLETELY OFF OF US! SO THE REASON I LOOKED UP THIS TOPIC THIS MORNING IS BECAUSE LAST NIGHT WAS REALLY BAD I WOKE TO SEE A DARK SHADOW POINTING A GUN RIGHT AT ME AND JUMPED FROM THE BED AND RAN DOWN THE HALL TO THE GUEST BATHROOM AND LOCKED MY SELF IN, I WAS SO SCARED AND REALLY BELIEVED SOMEONE WAS IN THE HOUSE!

Avatar_n_tn Its just horrible to wake with this pain every morning. It all seem to come out after the birth of my daughter, 9 years ago. I have been dealing with this pain every since...nothing helps. I've had about every test you can imagine ran and they come up with nothing. There has got to be a reason for this pain and someway to manage it. Are you presently taking any meds for this condition?
Avatar_n_tn Don't be in a hurry, just wait until your stomach is settled. Some pregnant women throw up every day and other women never do. Throwing up takes more nutrients out of the body than just the food lost, and it can cause permanent damage to teeth and gums. Just know that not throwing up is better for your health and the health of your baby. Count your blessings, and be thankful you are not 'normal'.
