Common Questions and Answers about Causes of memory dump

memory

I got tons of hits, this was one of them. My memory hasn't been that great lately either, but I don't have a good way to measure that. Just thought I'd share, thanks.
in T3 and T4 indicate the amount of iodine in each. Ask your doctor for the actual numbers of any thyroid bloodwork you had done. It would be best to get a printed copy of the lab report, which will also have reference ranges on it. When you have those, post them (with their ranges) if you'd like and members can help you interpret them. Too often we hear doctors saying "normal" when testing was inadequate or reference ranges used were obsolete. Good luck at your appointment.
At least I was never accused of being neurotic or anything of that like. I was dismissed to rheumy and endocrinology, who both declared that this is neurological not their specialty. Also sent to rule out seizures. Been temporarily dx'd with migraine assoc vertigo and parkinson's associated dyskinesia. I did see a 3rd neuro, whose first question was "have you always been fat?" - that was also her last. Tried to see 2 who would not even see me without being already Dx'd.
Cannabis users have slower reaction times, impaired thinking, reduced levels of alertness and poor memory compared to non-users. This leads to higher on the job accident rates and defective or dangerous workmanship. With 2.5 million new users of marijuana in 2012 age 12 and older (6,800 new users per day) legalizing marijuana will dramatically increase these numbers. Marijuana use in elementary, middle and high school will become common.
I read medical textbooks and medical journal articles mostly. As for retaining it, the part of my memory that was affected by my worst head injury to date is mainly auditory memory/short term memory. Things that I read "stick" way better than things I hear, and like most people I have better retention for subject matter that I enjoy. Fortunately, I'm a lifelong nerd and have been reading textbooks "for funsies" all my life, so it's not tedious to me.
Also a small cup of grated carrot taken every morning is said to be offensive to all kinds of parasites. There are a million ways to get rid of the adult worms inside you, but avoiding reinfection is the hard part.

Hi, I was reading and some of the others here that seem to have my same problem. I have sharp pains behind my ears and even above. I decided to google this problem and it seems there are hundreds if not thousands with this problem. I am a 30yr old male and am healthy outside of back pain. So I don't quite understand what this could be. I do however have scoliosis and Sherman's disease. Could this somehow be connected? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have been reading about the effects of Adderall. I have noticed in my son and step-son both that they have dispayed some signs of Autism. I was wondering if it was a possibility that it could be another long term adverse effect of the Adderall? They have become very nervous and fidgety, neither were before taking this medication. My step-son has the most severe sypmtoms.
Here is #2 thread that goes along with our first one which was taking too long to load due to it being so long!! For anyone new, there is a lot of posts to read in the first thread and then please post on this one. Lets keep it going full of great information and support!!
Gaba, an herbal Valium like root (causes dehydration feeling of the brain) but is very relaxing. coffea cruda (homeopath) this is used just to stop excessive thinking before sleep and works very very well for me. Side note, I have Jupiter in the 12th (Astrology) this is indicative of shamanic dreaming and dreaming of things buried in the unconscious (often cave or underground dreams).
Sorry for the data dump, but you sound quite capable of handling it -- some people with Lyme have a bad case of 'Lyme brain' -- confusion, poor memory. I had it, and it wasn't pretty. Others have more physical aching and pains -- that's partly what confuses the docs -- Lyme (even without one or more co-infections) can present anything but a single set of symptoms, and when the co-infections are added in, the confusion multiplies.
whenever i ejaculate i find it difficult to continue the second round of sex. could someone paint a true picture of the causes and a workable and lasting solution to this problem.
I thought it would be nice to have a thread of all of us on Armour that have recently started or have been on for a while. We can talk about our increases and symptoms.....how we are doing. Easy way to keep in contact with each other and support each other as we sssslllllooooowwwwwlllly and patiently find our optimum dosage! I think from what I have read and what Stella has said, that patience is the key with Armour. It is not an overnight fix at finding proper dosages.
Well, I do disagree...antibodies, in and of themselves, do not cause any symptoms. It's only their action on the thyroid that gives us symptoms.
Thank you so much for replying as my mother died a terrible death of Motor neuron disease I am terrified of getting the same. I also found a site which is Fibromyalga it is very much what symptoms i am experiencing but my doctor said it was rubbish and a disease were they dump all problem diagnosis. I am having blood work done at the moment but they say that it does not show up Motor neuron in the blood tests.
Now I just want free of it all so I'm on day 7 of withdrawl. I saw on a different site there were some OTC meds I could take to ease the wd's but I worry about becoming addicted to that...and F**K that!! Your thoughts? How long is this gonna continue? I'm a computer tech and I've lost most my memory and will to go on. I cant sleep for long, feel tired all the time, have awful dreams, cannot focus on anything and I'm worried about losing my job. What happens next?
Phos low Albumin high All within normal ranges but ones I've listed here are at right at the boundaries of normal. Haven't listed other results. To my rusty memory looks like I was plain old run down, but any pattern jumps out at you here from you wonderful scientists? Doctors don't look at trends, just at flagged results, I'm just seeing if there is a trend here. Any suggestions? The anaemia was definitely flagged, but is pretty mild, I take iron most days.
For millions of patients, thyroid hormone under-regulation of tissues other than the pituitary gland causes classic (and historically-documented) symptoms of characteristic of hypothyroidism. The symptoms, for the most part, are the same as those of fibromyalgia: chronic pain and abnormal tenderness, stiffness, fatigue, cold intolerance, dry skin, hair loss, depression, poor memory and concentration, and exercise intolerance.
In 1974 she suffered from her first major episode of post-natal depression. In 1982 we moved from Tasmania to towns north of Capricorn in Australia’s Northern Territory and Western Australia from 1982 to 1987, over 25 years ago. Although she, too, has a long history of different kinds of problems which I won’t go into here, more recently she has been diagnosed has having an underactive thyroid.
When there is no real danger, they are scary. In a panic attack, the sympathetic nervous system is activated, causing a dump of adrenaline. That's what causes the increased heart rate and breathing, sometimes you'll feel some numbness/tingling in your arms/legs, dizziness...and a feeling of impending doom. Again, in a real life danger situation, this would help you.
Also -- the doctor who referred me to the neurologist did a finger-to-nose test which (by process of reverse engineering via google) found slight dysmetria. Sort of alarming. I imagine others of you felt skittish about your first neuro appointment. Thanks for reading and if this resonates or you have any thoughts or questions especially about the fatigue, or things to ask neuro about, please let me know. Thank you!
Furthermore, some reserve sugars are still detected by the brain if a second low happens after you had one that caused your body to dump sugar from the liver, and so while your glucose levels may be low, your brain is detecting the liver sugars and thinks you are OK. This apparently is what causes the loss of warning symptoms. 2.
I'm on low does of atenolol just as a precautionary treatment As to type of ablation all this depends upon the type of afib. Afib has numerous causes and cures. Also meds work very well for some people. I know of people who have it controlled very well on meds. But meds didn't work for me. My cardio tried two meds. It is was my cardio's philosophy that if meds did not keep in rythmn then do ablation. Ablations are a bit riskier than meds.
I have most of the typical symptoms of Hyperthyroidism and most annoying to me is confusion and short term memory problems. I am experiencing a bit of pain on the left side of my neck as well. I am 5 feet 9 inches tall and currently weigh 290lbs. In my teens and twenties and even into my early ‘30s I was of normal weight and only gradually became obese in my late ‘30s early ‘40s. I have had great difficulty loosing weight on any diet and I do exercise regularly.
I think your thyroid is out of whack. That causes all sorts of problems, including poor digestion and poor absorbtion of nutrients and minerals. I don't think your TPOab is normal, but that test result is not something I am familiar with. I think kitty is right. I think they used some sort of dilution method to measure it and you have a high TPOab. The lab should have some sort of flag next to any tests that fall outside "normal" parameters.
