Common Questions and Answers about Cause of fainting during menstruation

fainting

Avatar f tn since then I have followed the advice of several web sites in voiding situations that cause the fainting. For me it could be most prolonged bodily stress (a hot room, even while eating at restaurants, shock etc). If you feel bodily uncomfortable, it's best to lie down with your knees raised. In the last 6 years, I've only had 3 episodes, (2 of them in one night), and all 3 were due to a high fever and food poisoning.
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
Avatar f tn I did take a test last month after I'd been late for 9 days and it came out negative. Then that weird period came so I just let it go. My cycles are kinda short, 24 days being in what would be the second cycles fertile window without the first cycles menstruation is odd to me. Both months I've had a spotting amount of white discharge and I asked my doctor but she listed 50 million and 1 causes of that.

876503 tn?1240165953 Thanks for reading! I'm a 23 y/o active female with a history of very severe symptoms during menstruation (nausea, vomiting, fainting, the works). Over the past few years I've been put on several Rx's for pain and nausea. I'm also on BC (Yaz) and have never been pregnant. These symptoms have continued to worsen, and a month ago I've started fainting and vomiting with little to no warning, and not during menstruation.
Avatar n tn Your body temp rises during ovulation (because of hormone production by your corpus luteum) and then it falls when corpus luteum dies and you get your period.
Avatar f tn This is known as post tubal ligation syndrome. This syndrome includes heavy bleeding during menstruation, extreme mood swings, severe migraine headaches and insomnia. Your mother can discuss this possibility with her doctor.
Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar m tn Can mefenamic acid prolong your menstruation and slows down your blood flow during menstruation?
Avatar f tn s just something about your body having trouble adjusting to this part of pregnancy, but you need to be seen to find out why, because it CAN be an indicator of pregnancy-related complications. The good news is, these types of things usually only affect the mom, not the baby, and disappear after delivery....but don't worry too much it's likely nothing.

Avatar f tn m on my period but still a lot. Apart from this a lot of the time during my first days of menstruation I get migranes and nausea, but this is not disturbing to me. Could this be endometriosis? Is this normal? Maybe you or someome you know has had similar experiances? Please share anything you know.
Avatar f tn You MUST see a doctor, Bran, to find out the cause of your fainting spells. Doing so would be a good chance for you to also discuss your weight, body image, depression and other issues you've discussed on MedHelp over the past few months and to ask for a referral to a specialist who could help you with those problems. I suspect, Bran, that your fainting isn't terribly serious. But the most likely reasons behind it certainly are.

Avatar f tn Have you gone to your doctor about this? I have had cysts before that tended to cause more cramping during menstruation.
Avatar f tn It is normal or at least benign to have pacs or pvcs during the cool down phase of a work out if the heart is healthy and free from disease. That said, they shouldn't cause you to pass out. Passing out is a concern. It is possible you just pushed yourself too hard and your bp went too low especially if you do not hydrate or nourish yourself well before you workout.
Avatar m tn It can happen when wake from sleep as during sleep blood pressure is usually very low and sudden standing and walking might not instantly trigger nervous system to raise bp or raise heart rate (to reach blood to brain). if both of these won't kick in fast lightheadness and even fainting can occur. Fainting is body's natural way to reach more blood to brain as when lying flat on ground heart and brain on same level. There is tip to reduce it.
Avatar f tn m so much in pain during dat time of de month.
Avatar f tn Yes, some women have cyclic bleeding although it is not menstruation. Menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining and you can't do that when pregnant. But you can have hormonal bleeding. It is generally early in pregnancy though and not heavy like a true period.
Avatar f tn 2 weeks ago I had sudden intense nausea shortly followed by dizziness and fainting. My menstruation period started the same day and my vitals were fine. Besides abnormal pain, fatigue and nausea my period was normal. Since then Ive been having pelvic cramping, queasiness, intermittent bloatedness, short lived headaches, occasional fatigue. I had flatulence last week and have been less regular so I took laxatives which was followed by these symptoms being intensified for the following 2 days.
