Avatar m tn I'm on a strict diet and on the catapres tts system patch . It lowers my blood pressure but makes me feel like a zombie along with a host of other bad symptoms. My following symptoms are: internal core shaking, lower back tingling and really warm(at random times) constant need to poop and usually when I do it's a loose stool. And then I have random flushing and sometimes out of breath when talking to my customers.

Avatar f tn Whenever medication is included as part of the overall treatment plan, it is extremely important to work closely with the prescribing physician or therapist. Medications Prescribed for ADD and ADHD include: Adderall - Adderall is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Adderall is used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
317019 tn?1532965586 m really sorry to hear about the tts. I have no experience with this, but I did find a website offering information and support. Praying that your babies continue to grow strong and healthy! http:// www. tttsfoundation .
232264 tn?1191248480 My frined told me of this miracle cure for the withdrawls.... catapres patch TTS 1, and since I put that patch on, no restless leg, no sweats, no vomiting. I know you are talking about Xanax, and Valium, but this patch works for real. So far 4 of us have done it. It does not change the fact that insomnia hits, and you need immodium for the stomach, but I have Kaiser and my Dr. has been real helpful.
Avatar m tn Ask you doctor for a chondline patch called catapres TTS-2 which will ugive you .2mg over 24 hrs and good for a week. It really really helps. You can cut this patch in half to bring it down to .1mg if needed. It really takes care of restless leg, that creepy feeling you can get . No matter what anyone tells you this is one of the very best detox meds to take. It will lower your BP so good to check with the doctor first.
Avatar n tn I am having restless legs, diarrea, stomach pains, aches, no appetitie. I have been taking 1 catapres a day to help. I am very down and am on depression meds. Is there a light at the end of this dark tunnel??
Avatar f tn Ok, I understand I have TTS and just have to live and deal with it, I have it over 15yrs now and I'm 38. But, My biggest problem is, is it normal for my legs to hurt so much? They hurt from my thigh to my ankles and I do not have the typical TTS symptoms. Is it possible there could be something else going on? The best way to describe what my legs feel like is that their being strangled where the thigh and hip would meet. Most people complain of burning in their feet and toes hurting.
Avatar m tn In another post someone asked when symptoms of TTS would be relieved after starting thyroid meds. I am taking Levothyroid and started 1 month ago. I have suffered from TTS in my left foot for 8 years and now have the beginings of it in my right foot. I have had all the steriod shots and now have my L foot in a cast for 3 weeks without relief. I am tired of the pain and now with the R foot beginng to burn I am going to ask the podiotrist to do surgery. My questions are; Can hypothroid cause TTS?
380558 tn?1309042387 Hi- We don't give dosing information on this forum. What does the prescription say? Do you know what Catapres is? I don't think it's wise to have on two patches at once! Be careful!! What symptoms are you having specifically? We may be able to offer some suggestions for relief.
Avatar m tn I think it was a Catapres-TTS patch and Motrin beleave it or not . The patch is used for high blood pressure . They also gave me stuff to help me sleep but did not work . I just woke up after 3 hours of sleep and before that I was awake for right around 40 hours with one half an hour nap . And my first post I should have said at detox I did have trouble sleeping but I do if I'm not in my bed . The shakey ness came on after I left the detox unit .
Avatar f tn What would make you think that you have toxic shock syndrome? :) Symptoms of TSS include: high fever, accompanied by low blood pressure, general feeling of illness/severe flu symptoms, confusion, which can rapidly progress to stupor, coma, and multi-organ failure. The characteristic rash, often seen early in the course of illness, resembles a sunburn, and can involve any region of the body, including the lips, mouth, eyes, palms and soles.
Avatar m tn When I stopped using opiates I was prescribed catapres for my blood pressure and anxiety. I have been on it for about a year and recently started abusing it taking 5 or 6 times my normal dose (.2mg) a about three times a day for the last 6 weeks. I was abusing it b/c at the high doses it gave me a "high". I've ran out of pills of course and my question is is catapres addictive, will I go through withdraw not having this medication.
Avatar f tn I feel agitated and impulsive, my 1st reaction was to look at clinical trials, not sure why, most of the information I read may as well be in another language. There is a lot going on in the Philly area, which is where I live, I just don't understand any of it, they use a lot of numbers and codes for drugs, or maybe the drugs don't have names yet. Any clarification on that would be awesome.
Avatar n tn can you take methadone and catapres together? and if you do take both catapres and methadone ,how will it affect you?
Avatar m tn thank you. i just wanted to know if its std related tts all.
Avatar f tn Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.
Avatar f tn My doc gave me Catapres - it's a BP med, not addictive. It helped me TREMENDOUSLY with the sweats and anxiety - it lowers the BP so if you've got low BP it's not for you. He also gave me Klonopin - very low, very limited dose to use ONLY if I really needed it in between the Catapres doses. I've taken like 1/2 a tab once or twice a day and that's it.
Avatar f tn I just got dx with POTS yesterday by the Tilt Table Study. The first TTS I had was in 2012 and inconclusive but symptoms suggested orthostatic hypotension. Symptoms persisted and progressively got worse however the medical field is to be desired when it comes to something they don't understand. The cardiologist yesterday said take 2-3 litres day, salt tabs, tight bicycle pants from waist to ankles.
1289458 tn?1271972463 The natural remedy rhodiola when supervised by a neurologist can be of help. All of this information should be discussed with a movement disorders specialist. For more information in the meantime google "Patient Education Tardive Dyskinesia" and as well there is a clinically detailed article on Emedicine that you could discuss with a neurologist.

Avatar f tn The information you all have provided here is greatly appreciated and not to mention very informative. I'm working on learning everything I can to help two people actually. They're a couple so it's very hard. But I know there are problems with addiction for both of them. I figure the more knowledge I have the more prepared I will be. I have one of them willing to talk to me tonight. He knows what I'm going to be talking about and I'm so surprised he said ok...
408795 tn?1324935675 Although not as specific, it contain much of the same information and is readily available to the patient and the doctor. This information label was given to me by my GI to read and discuss regarding issues related to anger and depression and the potential for needing an AD sometime during trt. I would hope all doctors discuss this prior to trt, but this may not be the case. I'm also curious what "psychological evaluations" are being done.
Avatar f tn Ok, so I'm slowly tappering off suboxones. I've heard of many on here talk about using a clonidine transdermal patch to help with w/d's. So I was able to obtain a descent amount of this - - only in tablet form, from a relative - - catapres O.2mg tabs.
Avatar f tn There should be a prescribing information sheet included with a prescription medicine that will list known side effects.
