It's nice to hear the girls coped with boarding so well. Not every cat does. When Jade was boarded after her ear surgery, there was a terrified kitty in the cage next to her. We were warned not to get near the cage as the cat would growl, hiss and swat at you...and it did! You couldn't help but get near it, as it was right there! Like Hildie, Jade was allowed out of her cage to roam after hours.

I have a real dilemma coming up this summer maybe you would have an idea for me ,I have to go to England for at least 2 weeks, and I have my spoiled Tweety , it is actually keeping me awake trying to figure out what I do about her, the catteries seem to keep them in cages, or so I have heard, she is an inside outside cat, I moved here last year and do not really know the folks to ask if they will feed her in my area,I also dont think that would be enough anyway, it is a rural area of neglected

I work at a dog day care/boarding & grooming service. The indoor play yards where the dogs go to the bathroom are mopped regularly with a very strong industrial bleach solution that burns all of our eyes terribly & makes all of the dogs go into sneezing fits. I have recently been feeling short of breath easily fatigued & have had several serious dizzy spells that made me unable to function. Could these symptoms be related to inhaling these bleach (& ammonia from the urine) fumes?

Hello, I have a cat who has sense the day we rescued him been sneezing and at points discharging, for a lack of better words, snot balls on the walls. We have taken him to the vet and have received a medication that did not work after completing the full bottle. I don't recall the name of this medicine. My question is, are there any over-the-counter medications that we can give this poor cat so we don't have to pay 50$ over and over again to visit the Vet.

Now my cat is sneezing less...but still sneezing now and again so I am not sure what to think. Prescribed Clindamycin for a whole month. His only symptoms after a day or two back on was increased sneezing (or reverse sneezing and some snorting) He was doing incredibly well after 1/1/2 weeks on antibiotic again, but we started having problems getting it into him. Called the vet on Friday Aug 18 and her assistant suggested holding the antibiotic over the weekend. Called on Monday and couldn't talk to vet until Tuesday afternoon. Oh! If you recently adopted her from the ASPCA then it could be kennel flu!! It's contagious to other cats I'd say. When I adopted my younger cat from the county shelter he started sneezing after 24 hours of being in the house. He then got my other cat sick as well. It's a virus so antibiotics won't do anything. About a month ago, my 12 year old diabetic cat, Oreo, was hospitalized (vet and hospital on same premises) because he was vomiting after he ate. It was the color of his DM Purina food. Vet felt he should be hospitalized. He was in hospital for 4 days, on iv, xrays, blood work, etc. They couldn't find anything. The vet said he never vomited. I have a retired persian show cat. He has the very flat face. He was a rescue cat and I have had him about 3months. I also have 2 humiliations, I bought as baby's. I live on a farm and have many barn cats.
