Avatar m tn I've developed severe allergies since moving in with my girlfriend who has a cat and a dog. So severe that I am constantly sick whenever home, find myself waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air (asthma - I have an inhaler), and hacking up a lung in the mornings. We've tried vacuuming more and bathing the animals but it being a small town home, living in close quarters, it does not seem to help. Now we are looking at me moving out and starting allergy shots.
Avatar n tn Do you have a good mattress cover to prevent dust mites? I know my asthma is worse when my allergies are acting up. Do you have any food allergies? Have you considered allergy shots for pets, etc? Hopefully this helps. Good luck fellow asthma sufferer!
Avatar f tn Most of the time when he is relaxing I can hear him breathing, sometimes like a wheezing. Could he have allergies? If so what type of meds are given?
Avatar n tn I'm a 20 y/o female 140lb.. no history of obesity, smoking, vaping, drugs, drinking, asthma or allergies and I haven't had any recent respiratory illnesses. I do have a history of anxiety and panic attacks. In the past 3 or so weeks I've had problems breathing on and off. A few weeks ago, out of no where, I started feeling like I was suffocating or like I couldn't breathe. It felt like my nose and throat were closing and it was hard to get air in.
967947 tn?1258873459 I've had bad allergies my whole life. I'm allergic to pollen, mold, dust, animal dander. Three years ago I all the sudden became fatigued. Some of the symptoms were light headed, fast heart rate constantly and increase by physical exertion, ortho-static hypo-tension. I do have a cat. I am always very fatigued all the time. While I'm just standing and talking to somebody my heart rate is about 150. I cannot do that much physically as I use to.
Avatar n tn After slight exercise (not simply walking) i notice a wheezing when i exhale. I have played sports throughout my life and not been over weight. I am 21 and most of the information i can find on wheezing pertains to obese children. I have never had this problem before even after vigorous activity. About 3 months ago i developed a cough, stuffy nose, and yellow mucus. After seeing a doctor i was prescribed medicine for bronchitis and nasonex.
996946 tn?1503249112 I am concerned about something that happened to my cat, Aramis, yesterday. We are back home in Tx. now and brought with us a new addition, Tommy, who is now 4 mo. old. We introduced him to our 4 other cats, one by one. Well, Tommy walked up behind Aramis while he was eating and Aramis was startled and hissed. When he drew his breath back in he sucked a morsel of food down the wrong way and started choking. I thought i was going to have do do the Heimlich manuever on him.
Avatar f tn I have recently been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. I am wheezing at night during ovulation and my period. Is this connected to my recent diagnosis?

942934 tn?1268108382 Never diagnosed though till 25 years old. My asthma diagnosis has always been in question. Allergies/asthma runs in my family and my daughter has asthma. Now my understanding of asthma is that the diurnal variations in peak flows should be greater then 20%. I don't think I've ever measured more then 15%. My doctors never have really heard wheezing in my chest, except some when I'm full of mucous and down about 50% of best peak flow. I've been to two different respirologists.
Avatar f tn During the day difficulty breathing through her nose so a lot of mouth breathing and wheezing due to mucus. Pediatrician has been treating with nasal spray (for minor nasal tissue swelling), nebulizer with albuterol, and most recently claritin. She had allergy test which revealed allergies to milk, peanuts, soy, wheat, corn, eggs. but no environmental triggers. Eliminated those things from her diet for two weeks along with taking allergy meds but no relief.
Avatar f tn i guess really it depends on the severity of it, to me it feels like someone squeezing my lungs and sitting on my chest making it harder and harder to breath until I take my inhaler then there is a lot of coughing like raspy kinda with a good amount of wheezing it's HORRIBLE
1129358 tn?1260225530 If i scratch it, it breaks out into a lot of small bumps along with a red rash so ive learned just to rub the area and eventually it goes away (unless its on my back or somewhere i cant reach) Occasionally i will also have wheezing and coughing while trying to sleep. Ive learned a few things: 1) when i hold my cat, my arms break out but i was never allergic to her before 2) Keeping my window open keeps me from breaking out but its hard to do that in winter weather.
Avatar f tn s definitely wheezing in his chest, she could hear it with a stethoscope. We thought allergies originally, doctor put him on claritin and flonase daily, but it didn't help. And thanks, we think so!
Avatar f tn Cat feces CAN (not all do) contain toxoplasmosis which is why you shouldn't change or touch cat poop. If you have had cats before you'be probably been exposed to it before but pregnant women are more susceptible to toxoplasmosis. As long as you dont change litter or pick up poop, you'll be fine.
596105 tn?1314580333 He seems very healthy and everything. Except that for the past week i have noticed him wheezing a bit and today in the morning i woke up to him sneezing rapidly...I got a bit scared...Well anyways he is acting fine except he isnt playing too much and he isnt eating as much as he usually does....You see,we got him very very fat....he was about 30 lbs.....But i think the reason why he got so fat with the previous owners was because he was being dominant with the other cats they had.....
