Hello. I'm new to this site. I probably should start off with a few things about myself to help you guys help me. I've been bruising easily since 6 or so. The rashes started up at age 19. I'm 21 now. I was diagnosed with cat and dog allergies. I'm also allergic to soy and water chestnuts. I had my gallbladder removed in 2014. Age 18. Really the only thing that's a problem is the rashes/hives. I have pictures.

Your symptoms present exactly the same as mine. I have cat allergies, but have had a cat for the past year with no problems. However, just a few days before I got this rash, we took in another cat. So I'm thinking it could be allergies that cat. However, when I looked up pictures of the rash online, it looked more like irritant contact dermatitis rather than allergic contact dermatitis. Oh dear, I just saw that you wrote in 2008, so I'm sure your rash is gone by now.

I have had cat allergies all my life which is a REAL bummer because I'm an animal lover and love kitties! My main symptoms? Itchy eyes. I get one cat hair near me and my eyes turn red, swell, start watering and then itch horribly. This is a common allergic reaction to cats. If it is a new cough, I'd say it's likely a virus and coughs linger with that. Once the air way is irritated, the cough will stay for a bit. But all allergies I suffer and my son involve itchiness.

I have had head pressure for about 3 years it go's on all day every day. My ears pop and I get ringing noise in them but it is not all the time once in a while. My mucus in my noise is pure white and thick all the time. My heart started fluttering about three months ago and I started to get these rashes all over my body but only when you put pressure on the skin, when it get irritated it gets large welts and very red. I'm tired all the time don't know why?

I remember that it started when I was cleaning my room, but it has been a week and the rashes are still there. I have been taking Benadryl since these rashes appeared. What other meds can I take?what could be the cause of these rashes?

My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays,she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

I have done my fair share of reading about this subject and belly, leg, and ear rashes, along with paw chewing are common symptoms of allergies, possibly from food. My dog gets really bad rashes in her ears and tries to scratch her back, but she is allergic to tons of stuff (grass, beef, fish meal, soy, flax, and weeds to name a few). The most common food allergies in dogs are wheat and corn (Nutro lamb and rice will work for these types of allergies).

This has always been confined to my neck to start-could this have to do with my thyroid? I do have allergies that runs in the family and I take a Zyrtec every day for indoor/outdoor allergies. I am being hesitant to run to the doctor for testing as I have health insurance but my deductibles are high and the economy has hit us hard as my husband has owned a real estate company for 25+ years. Any advice would be helpful. The swelling is bad enough that I do wear turtlenecks to cover up.

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.

It sounds like a bad sinus infection to me or allergies or both. I would see an ENT again and also ask to have either a CAT scan or MRI of that region, sometimes, x-rays do not always pick up things.

Since then I never tried to consult with dermatologists to treat my allergies, because calamine lotion do help to relieve the itchiness. This allergy is a kind of red bump /rashes and it’s very itchy and it was mostly around my forearm and legs, the itchiness will be gone after a minute that I’ve applied the calamine lotion, but the rashes are still there and it will leave marks on my skin after it healed.

I have skin allergies I describe them as swollen and itchy it started as a small dot but when you scratch it more it becomes bigger.What kind of allergy is this?

I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.

Absolutely. Ever since the bullseye rash I have been plagued with frequent rashes and allergies. They are very itchy and bothersome. I have a rash right now that is pretty much all over. They seem to last for about 6 weeks then start to resolve.

Greetings! My name is Tom and I suffer from severe non- food related allergies. Although they can be controlled, I find that my allergic reaction to dogs is so strong that drugs have little effect. The obvious solution is to take immunotherapy (allergy shots). However, when I contacted my allergist's secretary she said that they do no have one. I would like to rebut her claim, but in order to do so I need proof that this exists.

Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.

I have a lot of food allergies...I get a red itchy rash on both sides of my cheeks they are like little white heads I will get them on my forehead and chin...Is this from eggs? I am also allergic to yeast and all dairy...Can anyone help?
