Avatar m tn I got dizzy and nauseated, throwing up, skin flushed, sensations of having a fever without temperature, thick clear mucous, bright light sensitivity, sensitivity to loud sounds, rib muscles pulling, sensitivity to cold, pain in upper left abdomen, sharp chest pains, and tremors. A week later I went into emergency thinking I was having a heart attack. Everything seemed normal with my heart and I was discharged.
Avatar n tn Otodectes, Cheyletiella, Scabies, etc, ringworm and other fungal infections, allergies (allergies to food can occur anytime in the life of a cat), bacterial skin infections, endocrine disorders and more. Ringworm, and some mites can be transmitted to people. Frontline does not treat mites. The topical: "Revolution" is for fleas, ticks, ear mites, and scabies, so it might be a good idea to switch to Revolution for a couple of months.
Avatar m tn Good afternoon. During the past 3 days i have developed certain light sensitivity. These are the symptoms i have: - After turning off the lights to go to sleep, i can still "see" light. Its like being flashed with a camera in the dark. This "light retention" last several seconds. This never happened to me before because when i used to turn off the lights to go to sleep that same flash of light only lasted 2 seconds or so.
Avatar n tn I don't know if this is behavorial or allergies. My cat, female has been licking all her hair off for 6 mo now. This happened sortly soon after she got fixed. She has always been on the thin side. I use Frontline Plus here in Florida. She is totally an inside cat. Now she looks naked except for her head and the places she cannot reach to lick. I took her to a Value Vet once and they told me to give her some hormone. This Did Not Work!.

Avatar f tn In the year 2000 I had a complete hysterectomy after malignant cells were found in a cyst on one of my ovaries. I never had to have chemotherapy. I wanted to address your post, though, because even though I've known for years that some chemicals (perfumes, spray cleaners, etc., ) bothered me (headaches, fatigue, sometimes a feeling that something is stuck in my throat requiring me to use two sprays from an inhaler) I got worse after my hysterectomy.
Avatar n tn I'm 26 years and my problem is light sensitivity. My eyes are burning when I try to watch TV, computer or when is strong sunlight. In 2004 I had a lasik surgery for medium myopia and before that I had contact lenses. Now I wear glasses for small myopia and astigmatism. I had this problem before the lasik surgery but it was rarely, after the lasik it became permanent. I've seen many doctors and the only cause they could find was dry eye.
Avatar m tn Hi I have a problem with fluorescents and the issue is the type of light with the frequency and wave length. My problem is it gives me axentiy and makes my mind and whole body stress out I also lose train of thought and I can't think under them them. I been to Irene. And that didn't help plus I didn't want to have my world in colour. I did find a pair of sunglasses that works tho but to be honest everyone just makes you feel weird in the office wearing them.
Avatar f tn I have been having this strange symptom for about 3 weeks now & it's driving me nuts! I went to the eye doctor and the GP, both who told me I checked out fine. Bloodwork was run & the whole 9 yards. I'm 22 years old, for the record & in very good shape. Basically what I'm experiencing are some issues that seem to be related to light sensitivity.
Avatar m tn after 1 month my light sensitivity is still very bad. eye color has changed from dark brown to blue around the edges of the iris. I see the change, my friends see the change in color , but my surgeon says they are the same.
Avatar f tn I have been dealing with light sensitivity and dry eyes since July 2013. I went to a corneal specialists who put plugs in both eyes, upper and lower ducts, which has helped with the dry eyes to some degree. However, the light sensitivity has been an ongoing problem. The corneal specialist I saw said there was nothing else he could do for me to help with the light sensitivity.
Avatar m tn They fit you b check your vision for glasses. You should get a dialated exam. Sensitivity to light can be caused by different things. A new inset of floaters needs to be addressed. How old are u because some ppl as they get older get floaters. I have the beginning if a cataract so I'm very sensitive to light. I also have hundreds of floaters caused by a retinal detachment I had fixed in 2006. Just get flecked out. It'll put your kind at ease and if it's something they can fix it.
Avatar f tn My eyes have always been sensitive to the light, but the sensitivity seems to be increasing. This is with the heat sensitivity is really disappointing since I really do love summer. I have so much work to do in the yard but I seem to try to get it done very early in the morning or later in the evening when it is almost dark. It is getting harder and harder to be outside in bright sunlight and even certain types of indoor lights are starting to bother me.
237053 tn?1258828426 meds, stress, allergies, neurological issues, aspirin even, and the list goes on and on. If your hearing is muffled, you may want to watch out for ear infections or wax build up. Have you ever noticed that you will lose a bit of your hearing though, right before tinnitus starts ringing? That's what happens to me. If you ever have a sudden, complete hearing loss, that's when its time to go to the ER immediately.
Avatar n tn My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays, she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

Avatar f tn (like fleas) can cause allergies. Not saying your cat has fleas....just saying you might want to double check :) Good Luck.
Avatar m tn There are some features which if you have may point towards migraine--which is usually --Severe , unilateral, throbbing, activity worsening it, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, further consultation with the physician will help. CT is done usually to exclude some significant intracranial pathology which in your case has come normal.
Avatar f tn How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Thanks for the tips and suggestions friends!
Avatar f tn Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.
Avatar f tn Hi, I went to a Dermatologist a few years ago and was told that I have Sun Sensitivity. He gave me a prescription for Desoximetason, 0.25% ointment, and said that I should use Neutrogena sunblock with Helioplex. I am still having problems and I am wondering if there is any other help available for people who suffer with hives due to the sun? I try to apply sun block and stay covered up, but if I go swimming this is hard to do.
Avatar n tn Could be a severe head ache, could be a migraine, migraines are debilitating. Light sensitivity often accompanies migraines as does irritation with sound. What you describe as everything going white would concern me, as well as hearing funny. I can never focus when I get a migraine. I have to get alone in a hot tub, hit it with meds, and lie on a bed wedge never flat. This could be anything from an ear(outer/inner) infection, allergies, chemical imbalance, to an onset of migraines.
Avatar n tn The ophthalmogist needs to exmine the lacrimal puncta to make sure they are open, look at lid margin to be sure it is in proper position and perform lacrimal irrigation to see if there is a physical blockage of the nasolacrimal duct. If this tear drainage system is in good anatomical condition then there could be excessive production of tears due to some type of allergy or irritation and a second opinion from another ophthalmolgist may be helpful.
