Well, the advice was to get rid of the cat. However, there are other children involved in this situation. So we are asking if anyone has used any of the allergen neutralizers, tannic acid, special baths... that are available. We're looking to find a good product that will help but not eliminate the situation within our household. So, taking docs advice on getting rid of the cat is not going to happen. Looking for other alternatives. Got any?

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! so animals and me go together My dad grew up with a cat allergy he couldnt be in a house where cats lived...he would get itchy, cough and sneeze but he grew out of it, because we now have four and they don't bother him...the last two years or so whenever i am near the cats i get the same symptoms my eyes water, cough, stuffy nose its like a sudden cold. You should seperate their feeding areas (different room / area of the house for each cat) and give them a seperate litterbox each. They are kind of like Occupational Therapists that see the child weekly in all different environments, they use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy type methods for children, but they also are great support to the family aswell, acting as advocates and can refer to other people if necessary. My step son has mental health issues and we got the support above through the Paediatrician.

I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.

Our new Cat, Roxi, fitted in exactly the same way as our old Cat used to, but I know this to be very rare, so would be amazed if it turned out she also has the same type of Epilepsy.
